Making a Splash
I’m well into Book 5 of The Everyday Adventures of Papa & Paws. My wife was reviwing the proof and asked “do kids know what a ‘cannonball’ is?” So parents, what do you think: will kids recognize saying “Cannonball” as they jump into the water or should I stick with something more simple, like “Here I come!”

Introducing Macy
The Everyday Adventures of Papa & Paws: Hole in the Fence introduces two new doggies to the Paws Family.
Today, we meet Macy. She is a Yorkshire terrier mix that we adopted after Zozo crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.
She loves to have her nose to the ground and patrol the yard. She is always the first to alert of any danger, real or implied. She an definitely and outdoor girl. At the end of the day, she loves to snuggle me as we watch TV. You will notice that she is not afraid to get dirty as she helps out the family!

Introducing Harley
The Everyday Adventures of Papa & Paws: Hole in the Fence introduces two new doggies to the Paws Family.
Today, we meet Harley. She was a dachshund we rescued a few years ago (who has now passed to the Rainbow Bridge). As the story progresses, we see Harley carrying yellow roses in her collar.
This was inspired by a real event. We had tossed some roses into our flowerbed to “give them back to the earth” one day. A day or so later, Harley and her sisters went out to do their doggie business. After she came back inside, we all sat on the couch to watch a movie. A few minutes later, I noticed that she had one of the roses in her collar. We still have no idea how she did this!
