Valentine's Day Poem attempt
[This might be the only love poem I've attempted to write. It's to an imaginary love. Hopefully not too cringe-y. Happy Valentine's Day (tomorrow)!]
enrapture me in delusion
I want to be blind – with love
oceans & swathes – waves, of you
I want to imbibe – it all
your failures, your shame
your triumphs – all of it, all of you
rolling in your ethereal embrace
I am baptised in meaning
that which only love can give
enrapture me in delusion
I want to be blind – with love
oceans & swathes – waves, of you
I want to imbibe – it all
your failures, your shame
your triumphs – all of it, all of you
rolling in your ethereal embrace
I am baptised in meaning
that which only love can give

(poem) To the Sun
[Ok, so it is very cloudy where I am from, and that is why I wrote this kind of silly poem. I know it's not the best written, but I had fun with it.]
Open up ye — who holds us in yer mercy,
shine down yer rays — yer rain of gold,
gift to us, sight, and the rare pleasant mood!
Let free yer winds to banish our demons,
and rise all glorious to the unfurling of leaves!
Arise! Sun! The granter of color and,
take harbor in yer lands once more,
for the grey winter has taken its toll,
we no longer know which way to walk,
for, at night, all is black, all is winter,
and such a cold chills into us a sense,
of never-ending peril, of never-ceasing grief,
for ye, the sun, whom never visits us,
and grants us warmth — you are withheld!
So do not leave us to the grey, come again,
to the safe harbours of our hearts!
O, I must be going winter-mad,
if I am crying up to the clouds,
begging them to part — but what can I do?
Ye will not heed me, ye never have,
only time speaks to ye and the fickle winds,
and this is how it is, how it should be, but—
I think I might’ve enough. I think my feet listen,
and they move and stretch — perhaps,
I shall try them and move myself down to ye!
O, hear me, sun! To the south, I shall go!
And when there, ye shall bear my curses,
for both yer absence here and yer burden there!
For ye shall always bear the weight of my insanity!

(Poem) The Deepest Sea of Dreams
(This was kind of a strange thought or image that I had once when I was visiting my favorite lake.)
There was a shimmer in the water
a glimmer that flashed at such intervals
that I began to fall, head towards the sky
to the lake, to the waters, to the green—
touching the glassy surface, expecting bubbles
breathing out clouds, and wind was there—
rushing through my hair.
I was between liquid and air
the distance constant, only I was ever falling
eyes to the water that became the sky
when I remembered which way was down
that I was backwards to where I ought
that I should be dreaming deep into the lake
of falling and falling, that crushing weight
of expectation, and yet feeling none—
it’s not freedom, but yet I’m not trapped
I’m just . . . falling into the deepest sea of dreams. . . .
