How to make a snow globe from a fish bowl die featuring dies from Gina K!

Today I’m sharing a fun way to take a die from the Master Layouts 16 set, which is technically a fish bowl, and turn it into a snow globe!

This is also another installment of my Something Old, Something New YouTube series, and I busted out some older products to make this wintry design.
Sure, it’s summer now but I’m always down for a winter-themed design. Here is my tutorial showing just how versatile Master Layouts 16 can be!
How fun is that? Thanks so much for stopping b...

Using stencils to color florals two ways + a new release from Waffle Flower

Today I’m sharing two fun floral cards using products from the June release from Waffle Flower. Plus, I have a $20 gift card to their store that is up for grabs! Let’s take a peek at the cards:

Both use the same ink colors and both used stencils to add those colors!

On the Take Care card, I also used the Butterfly Background Stencil to dry emboss that subtle pattern on the pale green cardstock.

Here’s my tutorial showing you how these cards came together:

Check out this fun stencil, part of a new Hero Arts Subscription Program!

Today I’m sharing a fun layering stencil set that is part of the updated Hero Arts Monthly Subscription Programs, and this one is the Hero Studio Layering Stencils of the Month.

You can get all the details on how it works here. In the mean time, check out how this fun card came together:
Of course, you could use masking to add even more colors to your cityscape, but I kept it analogous, knowing it would create a lovely cohesive look.

A new die set with SO many fun possibilities from Gina K. Designs

Gina K. Designs has a new addition to her Master Layouts series and it’s Number 16! This die set can be used for many different designs and today I’m sharing a very fun ocean-themed card, using some new stamps as well, that are part of her new card kit.

I’m using the Just Keep Swimming Stamps & Dies which are part of her new card kit called Sunny Days. The stamps and dies are available in the kit for now, but will be released as standalone items next month into Gina’s shop.

Swatch your colored pencils using my free chart!

I’ve had my set of 48 Prismacolor Premiere Colored Pencils for a few years now and basically done very little with them. I realized it’s because I have no idea what they really looked like on paper and so I created a very simple swatch chart to blend out the colors using Gamsol, a pencil blending solution. And I want to share the chart with you for free!
There are two pages to this download. One has the Prismacolor Premiere heading and my logo, the second page is just blank so you could u...

Stamp, stencil and die cut for a simple card with repetition

Keeping card design simple can be challenging when you have so many choices, but today, I’m sharing a card that keeps the elements very basic, with repeating images, colors and textures.

The Flower Power Bundle has all the elements—stamps, dies and a stencil—to help you create cute florals with ease! I love that more and more companies are thinking in terms of bundles, so the whole group of products can really be stretched creatively.
Here is my tutorial showing how this simple de...

I tried to make a quick card, but then things always seem to take longer! And that is okay!

I needed a quick wedding card for a bridal shower this weekend and I thought: “Great! I have a simple idea and I can do it really quickly!”

In theory, this IS a very easy formula to follow for a quick, cute card. But every time I set out to make a quick card video, it inevitably takes me longer than planned. And you know what? That’s okay.
I know some folks love the quickie, but I love however much time it takes to do it. Being in my studio, creating… well, it’s a very peaceful tim...
