The Card of the Day: The Eight of Swords
“Freedom from fear.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Eight of Swords illustrates the kind of fear that blinds us, causing us to not see the present. It paralyzes us as we wait for "bad things" to come to pass. The Eight of Swords symbolizes fear that relies on past evidence to validate it. Something traumatic happened to the woman in the card. She was blindfolded, bound up, and abandoned. The people who brought her to this place are gone. Her fear that she is worthless has convinced her that all that remains is to wait for the tide to come and swallow her whole. She has been "shunned."
Has a traumatic experience from your past made you feel damaged or worthless? Is fear blinding and binding you somehow? Are you so focused on potential catastrophes that you can't see your many opportunities? Do you rationalize your fears using past traumas to validate their existence?
The Eight of Swords uses grey imagery that makes the woman's situation look hopeless and bleak. But always with the tarot you must look closer....
She can free herself! So easily!
Wait, whaaaa?!
She could use any one of the abandoned swords that flank her to cut the ties around her hands. With her hands free she could quickly remove the blindfold. Her legs obviously work so she could still run to the safety. Perhaps she could seek sanctuary in large castle behind her. Why is she not focusing on fighting for herself, or her survival? Why is she accepting the shame cast on her by others without fighting?
It's because she really believes she is worthless.
Feelings of worthlessness are lies that will keep you scared and bound. Today you must see your worth! If you are having trouble seeing your worth, look at the people that love you most. How would they feel without you in their lives? How sad would they be if they never experienced the special memories you made together? Reflect on your irreplaceable light today. Your light is so special, so uniquely you. In the whole cosmos, there is only one like it.
The Eight of Swords challenges you to see if there's still some fight left in you. Cut away the fears that bind you, rip away the blindfold! Stand up to what is scaring you. Feel your mighty worth. The past can't get you now so don't let it continue to overthrow your mind. Do not give into the illusion that you are trapped.
You are a survivor. You are worthy.
*Eight of Swords in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Eight of Swords will alert you if you are setting yourself up for failure in new relationships by energetically showing up as a victim. Maintain your dignity, power, and self-respect. Watch out for being too eager to please, or passively waiting for the other person to recognize the wonderful person you are. Know your worth walking in.
Long Term Partnership
The Eight of Swords can warn of unhealthy dependency in relationships. One partner might rely on the other to “make them” feel good, solve all their issues, or take care of their responsibilities. Relationships work best when both people show up in their power. This card can also signify a partner who is being passive aggressive or needy.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Eight of Swords could represent feeling hopeless as you “endlessly” wait for your ideal relationship to arrive. A watched pot never boils. Switch mental gears. Engage in activities that empower you. This will have the added benefit of making your aura much more attractive to be around and will get the energy moving again.

The Card of the Day: The Three of Cups
“Charisma.”
[image error]Order my full book on Amazon!
The Three of Cups portrays the famous Three Graces from Greek mythology. The Graces are goddesses of charisma. It was said wherever they walked, flowers sprang up, and joy and laughter abounded. The Graces (also called Charities) each stood for attributes you can embrace to elevate your personal energy, transforming it from depressive to jubilant. We get our word "Charisma" from the three Charities (Graces). Charisma is that magical energy which makes others like you. Charisma is a gift all of us can develop. Anyone can increase their personal charisma by embracing their authentic light, lightening up, and bringing positive energy to others.
Does the energy in your environment feel bogged down? Do you feel too distracted by stress to even think about lightening up? Did you know that you can make your world happier by embracing your own charismatic energy?
The Three of Cups depicts the three Graces in their unique colors: red, white, and gold. The names of the Graces are Euphrosyne, Aglaea, and Thalia.
Euphrosyne is in the red robe. Her name means “to delight, cheer, gladden.” Euphrosyne shows that our environment becomes more vibrant when we embrace our humor. Any time we make someone’s day better with a smile, or lift the energy with laughter we are channeling her gift. Euphrosyne's message is "lighten up!" Use humor to diffuse what you are afraid of. Laughing at what brings you anxiety is a useful tool for overcoming it. Red is the color of courage, vitality, and passion.
Aglaea is in the white robe. Her name means “radiance, bright splendor, and light.” Every time you are sharing your inner radiance, you are embracing her gift. When you are embracing your inner light, you create a palpable positive force of energy around you that others will immediately perceive. Being relaxed in who you really are causes others to feel safe enough to open up to you. When you look into another's eyes and see that their inner light is also sacred and radiant, you are touching Aglaea's gift. White is the color of purity, truth, and Spirit.”
Thalia is in the golden robe. Her name means “to warm, to foster, to bloom.” Each time you patiently nurture something (yourself, a talent, a dream, a child) you are embodying Thalia energy. Tending to your hopes and wishes makes life meaningful. Thalia brings success through gentle tending of your goals. She also teaches that helping others with the very same things you struggle with, is the quickest way to boost your own feelings of self worth and value. Gold is the color of success, wealth, and the warmth of the sun.
Everyone can elevate their personal charisma. Like any skill, the more you use it, the more natural it will become to access. Charisma raises energy. It transforms the feeling of a place as if by magic. That is why talented people exuding tons of personal charisma get top dollar. We want them to raise our energy, and bring us the same joy, through music, words, and entertainment.
Today, tap into your personal charisma through humor, radiating your authentic light, and offering warmth and kindness to others. Watch your environment immediately improve with the gifts of the Graces.

The Card of the Day: The Ace of Wands (Reversed)
“Start where you are.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Ace of Wands represents breakthroughs, inspiration and new ideas. It heralds brilliant new thinking that has the potential to grow into solid reality. Like the many branches sprouting from the wand, you are experiencing an exciting period of mental growth. You are branching out into new realms of possibilities. The Ace of Wands motivates freshly inspired concepts, that can carry you over old obstacles.
Do you have a lot of great ideas, but lack the confidence to act on them? Do you hesitate on acting toward your dreams because you fear failure? Have you hit the same old brick wall, feeling that it is preventing you from making a huge breakthrough?
A divine hand emerges from the clouds, offering you a magic wand. This wand gives you the opportunity make all your dreams come true. If you were to fully grasp this wand you would be flooded with bright ideas which would bring solutions to old problems. Wands are symbols of brilliant inspiration, seemingly channeled from "above," which helps one transcend previous obstacles. An old ruined castle sits aloft a hill in the distance. This symbolizes that old barriers of outdated thinking are now crumbling. Former creative blocks are being transcended. New ideas will carry you over previously impenetrable walls.
Wands have a long history of helping characters in the fairy tales overcome seemingly impossible odds. The Fairy Godmother used her magic wand to send Cinderella to the ball in a pumpkin, after all hope seemed lost. But even magic seems to have a catch. The wand's magical effects always seem to have a time limit (such as the stroke of midnight). This symbolizes that you must act fast when divine inspiration strikes you. If you don't take full advantage of your creative ideas.... your carriage will revert to a pumpkin, and your beautiful horses will once again become mice. However, if you do act on the magic being offered (just as Cinderella did), you can go to the ball, make an impression, and transform a magical dream into a wonderful reality.
Cinderella didn't think to herself ..."Well, I am actually just an unpopular cleaning lady.......so even with all these magical opportunities, I'm not going to allow the Prince see my unworthiness. Magic doesn’t exist, so why try?"
No! Cinderella took that fairy's magic and ran with it! Be confident in yourself! You are worthy of any success you can dream for yourself!
The magic of your mind is only as good as your ability to act without hesitation when struck by divine inspiration.
When the Ace of Wands appears reversed it reminds you to stop wishing and start doing. Today, don't let your brilliant ideas slip away! Write them down and come up with a plan for practical manifestation. All solutions are available to you. Old barriers are crumbling, revealing a glimpse of magical future possibilities. Why not take the action required to have your dream!? You can do it.... but only if you are willing. Once your rough ideas are written down, refine them. Flesh out the details of how to make your goals realities. Seek out the correct people and information. Consult with those who are "in the know." Research your goal on the internet. Take a risk! The Ace of Wands reversed can bring about the feeling of not knowing where to begin. Do not let this feeling paralyze you. Begin somewhere…wherever you are. Don’t worry about doing it “correct,” just take the first step toward your goal. If you begin, momentum will kick in and can take you the rest of the way.
You are being offered a magic wand to wave, and this can change everything. It comes in the form of inspired ideas that have already been churning around, inside your head.
Write ideas down, and then act on them! Just like the wand's magic, brilliant ideas are fleeting. They are just "fairy stories" you tell yourself, until you make them happen! Magic is working within your mind currently. Take full advantage of it. Don’t just think about doing it…do it!
*Ace of Wands (Reversed) in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The connection with the person is intense and passionate. However, he or she may not be interested in a long-term relationship. Keep your expectations in check and observe the facts of where the union is heading, before committing your whole heart to it. Although there is still potential for more, time will reveal if this can last.
Long Term Partnership
You and your partner may feel inspired to start anew, however, you may also still feel stuck on a past issue that hasn’t been fully resolved. This card motivates you to try a different approach to addressing whatever has plagued you in the past. Upright or reversed, the Ace of Wands still holds the potential for future happiness.
Seeking Romance
The Ace of Wands reversed encourages you to stop wishing and start doing. Don’t passively hope for the new beginning you’re considering. Make your move! Whether it is a new relationship, a new attitude, a new passion you want to cultivate, it’s time make it happen. Be aware of the magical momentum which is propelling you toward your best life.

The Card of the Day: The King of Cups (Reversed)
“Getting your house in order.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
Everybody likes the King of Cups. He is kind, affable, and forgiving. He has nothing left to prove to the world, which makes him unpretentious. This is because he is completely at peace with his own feelings. He has experienced both stormy seas, and still waters that run deep. Water and cups represents feelings in the tarot, and the King of Cups is perfectly at home in the realm of his emotions. He tells us, "You are always going to have 'feelings,' why not channel their power into something constructive?"
Do you have an awareness of your feelings at this time, or do you stay busy to avoid them? Were you taught "feelings" are bad or weak? Are you sometimes so ruled by negative past emotions that you are left feeling sad, unmotivated, and depressed?
The King of Cups knows that emotions can buoy us, or sink us. Feelings can be helpful or destructive, just like the ocean. Emotions aren't good or bad, they are just fuel. The mind chooses the direction of where feelings flow. Once unleashed this can create a powerful current that manifests results, either positive or negative.
Two symbols appear the background of the King's card. The whale and the ship. The whale is the record keeper of the ocean. They are the ancient giants that remember all the way back to a time when they used to live on land. The whale symbolizes the ability to access old memories from the depths. Whales breathe air, giving them the ability to bring old, painful memories to the surface for understanding and healing. By making peace with the past you no longer have to work so hard to resist it.
The floating ship represents the power of the mind to invent solutions to harness the water (feelings). The seas and oceans used to be large barriers before humans could build ships. After people started inventing boats, the waters became super highways. Ideas were exchanged and trade increased. The waters were channeled into a positive result.
The King's stable throne remains above the waves. He is not ruled by his feelings but governs them. He stays in contact with his deep emotions and memories (the whale), but he is not overcome and submerged by them (the ship). He is able to place his focus on a goal and then summon the powers of his emotions as fuel to achieve it.
Today you choose whether to sink or swim in your own feelings. Heed the King's advice and make peace with the past. Forgive yourself for whatever is keeping you stuck. Forgive others who have hurt you, or they will continue to rule the direction of your feelings.
Your depth makes you powerful. Embrace it!
When the King of Cups appears reversed he indicates that it is time to stay calm despite stormy seas. As you can see, the figure on the card is surrounded by waters making great waves. Water signifies feelings in the tarot, and reversed cups cards usually indicate an intensification of emotional experiences. The King of Cups is seated on a firm stone platform, unaffected by the swirling waves around him. This indicates that the King has the ability to remain centered when situations that elicit an emotional reaction arise.
The King of Cups is associated with the astrological sign of Cancer, which is concerned with the house and the home. The best way to feel stable amid external emotional activity is to retreat to the home, and get your personal environment in order. Throw out things you don't need anymore. Remove clutter. The more you clean out your personal environment, the less heavy and stressed you will feel internally. What you surround yourself with daily, unconsciously affects your moods and attitude. Today, get your house in order. If you have a stable base of operations to re-center, you can handle any number of waves headed your way.
*The King of Cups (Reversed) in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The King of Cups reversed can represent someone who appears adrift in life. He (or she) is not anchored to a particular person, purpose, or place. This can be difficult because the King of Cups, (upright or reversed) can connect powerfully with others without even trying. You may want to “rescue” this person, but he will only swim to shore when he is ready.
Long Term Partnership
The King of Cups reversed can represent an emotionally brooding partner. He may keep replaying a past slight in head over and over, constantly surrendering himself to the raging storms of his past. Time may not heal all wounds, but it will lessen their sting. The King of Cups reversed has a hard time letting the past go.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the King of Cups reversed advises you to remain anchored during emotionally tempestuous times. Shelter your heart in environments that feel safest and most supported. Although you may feel like your heart may never open again, this is an illusion. The storm will pass, and the seas will be calm once more.

The Card of the Day: The Queen of Pentacles
"Relax, everything is working out in perfect timing."
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Queen of Pentacles represents the success we gain after prolonged effort. Everything growing in her garden was guided by her skilled and patient hands. In the card, the Queen is calmly sitting, admiring her coin. Even though everything in her garden is not in full bloom, she finds contentment in the moment. She's present.
Are you content with your life just as it is right now? Do you tell yourself, "I'll be happy once I finally achieve X, or get Y.”? Do you race through time not acknowledging even small achievements you make? Are you sometimes a cruel task master to yourself? (You don't get to enjoy anything until you finish this!)
The Queen of Pentacles reminds you to ground yourself in the abundance of the present. Acknowledge the warmth of your home, the good meal you are eating, your time with loved ones, the beauty of the raindrops misting outside. Look at life with content eyes. Look at all this beauty!
In the foreground of the card (in the right- hand corner) is the Queen's pet rabbit. Rabbits are symbols of fertility (hence the Easter Bunny and the budding of Spring). They were also believed to bring good luck. (Remember those ghastly carnival rabbit’s feet in the 1980's?)
An old teacher of mine used to say, "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." If you are preparing the way for future success, all you need to do is look out for the opportunity, then move toward it as swiftly as the rabbit when it arises. Rabbits are also symbolic of nervous energy. This reminds us that we must still act toward our dreams even if we are afraid.
Today know that your efforts are ripening and blooming in their perfect timing. Find contentment in the now. Be like the Queen of Pentacles and enjoy what you have, what you've already achieved, and what is still manifesting.
*The Queen of Pentacles in a Love Reading:
New Relationship
The rabbit that accompanies the Queen of Pentacles can signify an intense physical attraction accompanied by nervous anxiety. Be present in the moment rather than projecting too far into the future. The foundation you are establishing must be cultivated slowly and steadily, with time and patience. All is blossoming in the Queen’s garden.
Long Term Partnership
The Queen of Pentacles governs long-term security and well-established relationships. Bonds are reaffirmed by investing in shared goals for the future. This couple can benefit from spending a bit more money on leisure and relaxation, making pleasure more of a priority. This card can also signify a couple that is patiently accumulating wealth over time.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Queen of Pentacles reassures you that all is growing in its appropriate time. Be patient with the process. Redirect your attention to where successes are occurring in your life. This is where the magic is pooling. The seeds have already been planted for your future happiness. Focus on the work before you as the garden steadily comes into full bloom.

The Card of the Day: The Ace of Swords
“Reclaim your personal power.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Ace of Swords symbolizes reclaiming your personal power by taking charge of your life. Like all Aces, it symbolizes a new beginning is at hand. Your personal power is much like a sword, waiting to be drawn from a scabbard. When you grasp what makes you powerful, you can transform your energy, from victim to victor. The Ace of Swords cuts through trance-like states of mind. It flashes with dazzling light, awakening your self-confidence.
Do you feel your personal power has been depleted somehow? Are you avoiding something that you know will make things better if you just get the ball rolling? Are you overwhelmed by anxiety, causing you to feel uncomfortable with confronting an area of your life?
A mighty hand grasps the flashing sword. Sparks crackle from its blade. The Sword represents your vitality, life force and personal power. The sword is crowned. This symbolizes that when you grasp your power, you become fit to rule your life. You are the King or Queen of your own world, vested with the divine authority to make it as successful as you dare. The mountains symbolize the great heights you will ascend to, if you decide to act.
An olive branch dangles from the left side of the crown. This symbolizes that your life will feel more at peace, when you act. This seems counterintuitive to our fears which tell us to avoid things that might create stress. However, inner turmoil comes from the avoidance of confrontation, not from taking responsibility.
A palm branch graces the right side of the crown. Palm trees are primordial, tough, and hearty. They can endure desert-like heat, and torrential hurricanes. The palm branch symbolizes your resilience. You can endure much more than you may be giving yourself credit for.
Today, a new beginning is at hand. Don't dwell on yesterday, last year, or what might lie ahead. Your personal power is crackling in the present, right now. Where will you send that energy? Channel the energy to the place in your mind where your power resides. Act on something that you have been avoiding. This will restore confidence in your mind and its ability to make better decisions.
*Ace of Swords in a Love Reading

The Ace of Swords can signify an electric attraction. The spark between the two of you is definitely there. Your new love interest will excite your imagination with unlimited possibility for the future. Try to appeal to this person’s intellect and love of conversation. Long Term Partnership
The Ace of Swords represents a relationship between two powerful personalities. Your partner must feel they can speak openly about their personal ambitions. The Card of the Day: The Knight of Wands
“Adventure.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Knight of Wands symbolizes the urge for exploration and adventure. He is the traveler of the tarot (here he is pictured visiting Egypt). He understands that by removing himself from the humdrum routines of day to day life he can gain better perspective of who he really is. A free and fearless spirit.
When is the last time you broke routines and explored the world outside your home or work? Do you need a big vacation, or a small get away to regain perspective? Do you go to the same old restaurants, same pubs, same neighborhoods in your community? Are you overdo for some spontaneity?
Travel broadens the mind. It frees us from monotony and allows us to explore environments where people don’t know all of our personal history. By exploring new places, you are actually on a journey of discovering yourself. When you return from a trip your mind actually looks at the life you left behind with renewed clarity. It's called "leaving the bubble."
In his “Four Quartets,” T.S Eliot wrote:
”We shall not cease from exploration, and at the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.“
Not everyone can take big trips to exotic locations, but you can still go to places that allow you to connect with folks that are different from you. Once there, you will realize that you aren’t so different after all. By seeing yourself as they might see you, you might find you are more interesting than you thought.
Today reclaim your spontaneity. Go an outing outside of your normal perimeters. Visit a restaurant with foods you haven’t tried. Talk to people that don’t look like you. Get excited and plan a larger trip if you need a vacation. This world is so awesome, get out there and explore!
Today stop being bored or boring. You are not your job or your routine.
*Knight of Wands in a Love Reading

The Knight of Wands represents a thrilling new romance that’s hard to stop thinking about. There is an insatiable quality to this attraction and this person will always leave you wanting more. Try not to get too “clingy” with the Knight of Wands, or your heart could break. He (or she) may spend years traveling, dating, or moving from place to place before settling down.
Long Term Partnership
The Knight of Wands symbolizes a relationship that has been a wild ride. The very fact you got this person to commit to you is a wonder. Your partnership thrives through travel, freedom, and a change of scene. This card can also signify a long-distance relationship, or a partnership in which both partners spend a lot of time apart.
Seeking Romance

The Card of the Day: The Star
“Touch the starlight within.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Star is a symbol of renewed hope after turbulent times. The hope comes from seeing your life through transcendentally. From this higher vantage point you can see the big picture and your real-life purpose. The Star asks you to follow your proverbial North Star, the compass point that leads you back to your authentic self, the best of who you really are. The Star is associated with the eternal, immortal part of your spirit. This authentic essence continues, long after your body has gone. By tuning into the eternal aspect of yourself, you can transcend any challenge you confront in the mundane world.
What is the meaning of your life? Have you lost perspective, becoming consumed with something that really isn't that important in the long run? When was the last time you felt absolutely clear about your purpose?
The woman on the Star card has drawn the healing waters from the pool of the Universal collective. She is pouring some of these waters on the parched earth beside her, symbolizing a replenishment of her world, and the neglected parts of herself. What feels dry and parched in your consciousness? What needs replenishment and watering? The woman is taking some of the water for herself. She knows she is worthy, and it is wise to do so. By taking the gifts of the Universe to replenish herself, she will be able to share more of herself for the collective good.
The woman is also pouring some of the water back into the universal pool. She is giving something back to the collective, to improve and enrich it. “To whom much is given, much is required.” If she keeps returning some of the water to the pool, she will ensure it never dries up and will be able to draw future blessings from it when needed.
The Major Arcana in the Tarot can be interpreted as a path laid out in symbols toward deeper understanding of the self. In the Major Arcana, the Star is numbered XVII, and occurs immediately after the most challenging cards (XII The Hanged Man, XIII Death, XV The Devil, XVI The Tower). After accepting sacrifice, death, confronting the shadow self, and returning to her true nature, the superficial layers of the ego are stripped away. The Star represents the imperishable light within you that transcends the fears of the ego. This is the eternal starlight of Spirit. Each of us possesses this light. This light is always sparkling within us. However, sometimes it is so buried beneath burdens, and layers of ego and fear, that it is hard to feel or see. Some people forget this light exists altogether, until they see a laughing baby, or are moved by a pivotal (sometimes traumatic) life event. The Star card reminds us that our inner light exists. When we draw from its eternal waters, we can bounce back from death and defeat, transcending all challenges. Knowing this, we come to understand there is really nothing to fear...
In the background sitting in a tree is an Ibis bird. The Ibis was very sacred in ancient Egypt. It is the emblem of the God of Wisdom, Thoth. The Ibis calls us to the wisdom we need to access in order to fly above our present challenges. The Ibis grant the perspective of the big picture high on his tree. He is the God of the Moon and of writing. Perhaps it’s time to journal your deeper revelations.
The Star reminds you to replenish yourself by accessing the transcendent light within. When you have drawn from the power of this light pass along it’s blessings and reinvest in the Universal pool. Open your eyes to where you are truly needed in your world. If you’ve ever helped the homeless or sat with an old lonely lady that needed to talk or left a huge tip and a sweet note for a hotel maid or waitress in a rough life patch, then you’ve been doing the work of the Star. You’ve been replenishing the waters of the collective good. The Star is all about restoring Hope in yourself and others.
Follow your North Star back to the best parts of you, and your true purpose.
If you continue to pass on blessings to others, you will always be blessed.
*The Star in a Love Reading
New Relationship
When first getting to know a Star person, they can come across as rather distant. This is a defense mechanism they learned to protect themselves from the pressure they often feel from others. The Star card can signify that your new interest holds a lot of potential. However, you will have to let this connection intensify slowly. Try to establish a firm friendship first.
Long Term Partnership
A relationship with a Star personality can radiate an aura of destiny. No matter what life-changes may unexpectedly alter your path together, the bond you share is eternal. At the core of this partnership are two souls, joined in friendship, journeying through the ages. Star relationships are rare and can often stand the test of time if the friendship remains intact.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, the Star advises you to spend time with your friends. Release your expectations. Express yourself freely and socialize again. Enjoying time out in the world with friends can increase your chances for finding a potential romance. Don’t be afraid to let yourself shine!

The Card of the Day: The Two of Pentacles
“Be flexible.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Two of Pentacles represents juggling unexpected events. These experiences aren't bad or good… they are merely unpredictable. The infinity symbol binding the two coins represents the eternal truth that life does not always go according to plan. The juggler on the card survives the undulations of fortune because he remains flexible and adaptable. This is symbolized by the boats that remain afloat amid the tumultuous waters.
How do you respond when things don't go according to plan? Do you get angry and prepare to fight? Are you able to retain your good humor?
The juggler depicted on the Two of Pentacles is an entertainer. He takes life’s lemons and makes them into lemonade. He transforms the troubles life sends him into teachable moments, to uplift the himself and others. The Two of Pentacles reminds us not to fight the waves life hurls at us, but to float above them. Know that in life there are always going to be waves. Don't take them personally! Instead of asking yourself, "Why is this happening to me,” think, "Thank you this valuable lesson to remain flexible." In nature, life that cannot adapt becomes extinct.
The Two of Pentacles encourages you to move with events, not against them. Let unexpected eventualities roll off your back. Learn to laugh at them and use them to strengthen yourself and others. You can juggle anything life sends your way with grace and ease. The Two of Pentacles can also indicate a juggling of finances may need to occur. This will restore financial harmony.
*Two of Pentacles in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Two of Pentacles symbolizes someone who is a lot of fun, but extremely unpredictable. This person may not return your messages one day, and then unexpectedly show up with flowers the next. If you seek consistency and stability, this juggler may disappoint you. This humorous personality is unconventional and seeks an easygoing partner who doesn’t apply pressure.
Long Term Partnership
For couples, the Two of Pentacles can represent changing priorities, values, or needs. This card requires both partners to compromise and adapt to the changing needs of the other for the partnership to progress. Issues surrounding financial or career instability could also take center stage. Do not fight the waves of change; ride them.

The Card of the Day: The Knight of Pentacles
“Unfulfilled expectations.”
Order my full book on Amazon!
The Knight of Pentacles represents a need for patience and perspective when our current life does not measure up to our expectations. It is a card that teaches us how to use setbacks as opportunities for personal resilience. Only hindsight will reveal just why something we hoped for or expected didn’t quite pan out the way we thought it should. Life has a way of steering us to even better blessings than the ones we expected.
Has something you expected not panned out the way you hoped? Do you feel bad about the present because you don't "have" something that you think others do? Are you able to honestly see that the game isn't over yet, and there are still marvelous things in store for you?
The Knight of Pentacles rides the fields dreaming of the future. He is utterly disappointed with the present. The fields he surveys are brown, and don't seem to be growing anything. How many more years does he have to keep pacing the same fields before they grow?! It can be so frustrating! In order to become a King, this Knight needs to demonstrate he can make a field grow. Here's the rub...........the field will never grow until he learns to be at peace with himself and the lesson the present is teaching him. Patience and self-acceptance.
It is also interesting to note that of all the knights in the Waite-Smith tarot the Knight of Pentacles is the only knight to be seated on a horse that is not moving forward. This indicates that events are at a standstill. Although the knight is eager to progress he has to learn something important that can only be found where he is now, in the present. It is in the present where the magic of transforming conditions can be found.
The Universe has a way of providing teachable moments. The lessons appear in the form of recurring "setbacks," that repeat themselves over and over until you absorb what we need to change about your mindset. At first glance it might just seemed like you are getting thwarted again! "Why does this always happen to me?! Grrrr!" That's when you need to ask, "What is this recurring situation teaching me?" "How can I use this as an opportunity for resilience?" Perhaps the recurring situations are teaching you patience and self-acceptance. Perhaps they are teaching you about boundaries, or not needing others to validate you. Perhaps you just need to learn to be at peace with who you are in the present, with all your perceived imperfections.
Today the challenge is to look at situations that seem like setbacks, and instead see their value as lessons to help you grow. Ask the situation "Why do you keep happening, what are you teaching me?” It's okay to feel disappointment for a little bit, but then you need to see its value as a teacher. Look back at how past disappointments actually made you stronger, and led you to even better blessings than what you thought you wanted.
Be patient and resilient.
*Knight of Pentacles in a Love Reading
New Relationship
The Knight of Pentacles can symbolize a partnership where the reality does not always match hopes or expectations. This card can also represent a relationship where one person is constantly stepping on the brakes. You may have to decide if you are willing repeatedly wait for this person to express their intentions for the future.
Long Term Partnership
There may also be a financial decision, or major commitment that affects the partnership that should be placed on hold as you learn more. See to the details and gather more information before rushing ahead. This card can also represent a partner who is at an impasse in their personal or professional life. This person will resist feeling rushed.
Seeking Romance
If you are single, this card can represent feeling frustrated with the slow pace of your love life. Although it may not look like it now, growth is happening beneath the surface. The Knight’s horse may have stopped because there is something important you are learning about yourself now. Don’t be in a hurry to attain every dream. There is much to be enjoyed in the present.
