Happy New Week to ya!

Today, I'm very excited because I found THIS on the Samhain Publishing website over the weekend:
When revenge, secrets and lust collide, there can only be chaos.

Recast, Book 2

Jenks Maine is dead, but the devastating effects forcing Recast to fight in the arena goes on. Half-Recast Ace Abu is determined to put a stop to it. All he needs is to get to the planet Fray, locate the concealed Clash Arena, and destroy it. But first he has to cross half the galaxy before the sound and smell of his...

THE GIRL WHO LOVED TOM GORDON: A Pop-up Book by Stephen King

Trisha McFarland is a plucky 9-year-old hiking with her brother and mom, who is grimly determined to give the kids a good time on their weekends together. Trisha's mom is recently divorced, and her brother is feuding with her for moving from Boston to small-town Maine, where classmates razz him. Trisha steps off the trail for a pee and a respite from the bickering. And gets lost.
I read the book version of this story several years ago, and really enjoyed it. So when hubby suggested we sit...

IMAGINARY GIRLS by Nova Ren Suma

[image error] 'Ruby said I'd never drown - not in deep ocean, not by shipwreck, not even by falling drunk into someone's bottomless backyard pool... It sounded impossible, something no one would believe if anyone other than Ruby were the one to tell it. But Ruby was right: The body found that night wouldn't be, couldn't be mine.'

Chloe's older sister, Ruby, is the girl everyone looks to and longs for, who can't be captured or caged. When a night with Ruby's friends goes horribly wrong and Chloe discovers...

It's done!

I just finished the second draft of Recast #3.
That's right. It's now sitting at 50,592 words. Which means I added just over 10k to it during this week, and I'm a lot happier with it. Only one more draft to go. But first, I need to put it aside for a week or two.
Phew. Yeah, I think I deserve a coffee break. ;)
Have a great weekend!

I'm losing count of the days...

So I can't believe it's already Thursday. Yikes! For some reason, this whole week has been a little wonky. Productive, but wonky. Mostly rainy, and still wonky. ;)

It hasn't stopped us from getting on with our regular-scheduled routine. lol. I've still gone for a walk every morning after dropping my daughter off at school (yesterday, it was raining so I had the whole river path to myself!), we're doing our weights workouts at night, I do yoga the morning after the weights workout, watched...

Um... did I miss Monday over here?

LOL. Yes, I did. But it's okay because I posted a book review last night. :)
Anyway. How's everyone this week?

It's the last week of October. Already, huh? It sure has gone quick. But I guess that's what happens when you pack it full of stuff. I've done a lot during October, and hope to keep the productivity up into November and December.
BTW, if you missed my latest cover... you can check it out here. It's so awesome. I keep looking at it. And actually have it on the Desktop in the main...

JUST AFTER SUNSET by Stephen King

Just After Sunset -- call it dusk, call it twilight, it's a time when human intercourse takes on an unnatural cast, when nothing is quite as it appears, when the imagination begins to reach for shadows as they dissipate to darkness and living daylight can be scared right out of you. It's the perfect time for Stephen King.
While going through my Stephen King bookshelf, I realised that I hadn't read this short story collection yet, so I had to remedy that problem by getting stuck into it...

I have a new cover to share... and it's awesome:

Isn't it fantastic? I absolutely love it! It's so exciting to see Ace on the cover. :)
This awesome cover was made by the brilliant cover artist, Kanaxa. I love her work. I also feel very lucky to have had two covers designed by her. She rocks!
This is what they look like together:

Pretty, huh?
CLASH, which happens to be the second book in my Recast series, will be available early 2012 from Samhain Publishing. Can't wait!

Nothing beats sunny days!

I love sunny days! And they're even better when it's spring and/or summer. :)
So, what's new?
I've been pretty busy the last few days. No surprise there, right? We made my daughter's birthday as much fun as we could, and she seemed to enjoy every minute of it. So that's cool!
Writing wise, I got stuck into the first round of edits for my RELENTLESS novella, and got it finished this morning. It's only 45 pages long, so it didn't take too long. I'm glad it's done, though.
Didn't end up taking the ...
