Billy Joel Wants Everyone to Know ‘I’m Not Dying’ After Canceling Shows Over Brain Disorder Diagnosis, Howard Stern Says | Video

Billy Joel wants his fans to know he is not dying, despite canceling the remainder of his shows following a brain disorder diagnosis.

Howard Stern passed along the message to his SiriusXM listeners during his show Tuesday. The radio host explained that he got dinner with Joel a couple weeks back and the singer wanted to make sure his fans knew he was not dying.

“He does have issues, but he said, ‘Yeah, you can tell people, you know, I’m not dying,'” Stern said. “You know, he wants people to know that. He just, he’s got to deal with some medical stuff. But he was delightful. We had a great time with the wives. We had a great conversation.”

Joel announced his show cancellations at the end of May – three months after he collapsed while performing at Mohegan Sun Arena. The “Piano Man” singer is dealing with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

“This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance,” his team said in a statement. “Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health.”

The cancelations impact 17 scheduled stadium shows across England and North America.

Stern’s is not the only positive message about Joel fans received. The singer’s wife Alexis Roderick Joel said on Instagram the family was “hopeful” for his recovery and “grateful for the wonderful care and swift diagnosis” he received from doctors.

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. We are so grateful for the wonderful care and swift diagnosis we received,” she posted. “Bill is beloved by so many, and to us, he is a father and husband who is at the center of our world. We are hopeful for his recovery.”

Chuck Schumer Admits He Agrees With Elon Musk: ‘He’s Right’ | Video

Chuck Schumer and Elon Musk sure make strange bedfellows – but this is politics, after all.

The Senate Majority Leader from New York, a fierce critic of DOGE who’s called Musk a liar and a hypocrite and accused the Tesla CEO of “sabotaging” critical benefits and a “hostile takeover” of federal government, pirouetted on Tuesday, declaring, without irony: “He’s right.”

This rare moment of political reconciliation is thanks to the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping federal spending package narrowly passed by the House last month and under consideration in the Senate.

To put it mildly, Musk is not a fan.

Days after the Space X chief and President Trump revealed at the White House that Musk’s role at DOGE would be severely narrowed – possibly over his growing dislike of the Republican-backed bill – the X owner could hold his tongue no longer. On Tuesday, he posted a fiery screed against the bill.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.

This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.

Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 3, 2025

Schumer’s agreement was so strong that he stepped to a Senate chamber podium and declared on Tuesday: “I agree with Elon Musk.”

Holding a printed placard of Musk’s X posts, he read from them, word-for-word.

“Within the hour, [Musk] put on X the following,” Schumer said. “I have it right here so you can all see it – he said, ‘I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it. You did wrong. You know it. It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion, and burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt.'”

To make it clear he wan’t joking, Schumer added: “He’s right.”

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Democratic leadership is capitalizing on Elon Musk’s public outcry against Donald Trump’s reconciliation package. Democrats are ready to fight Trump tooth and nail at every turn. Let’s go. pic.twitter.com/Wm9xneM1s4

— Democratic Wins Media (@DemocraticWins) June 3, 2025

The “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on May 22, with a narrow vote of 215–214 and one member voting “present.” The vote was largely along party lines, with all Democrats opposing; Republican Representatives Thomas Massie and Warren Davidson voted against it.

“If even Elon Musk, who’s been part of the whole process and is Trump’s buddy, says the bill is bad, you can imagine how bad this bill is,” Schumer told reporters. “Musk said people shouldn’t vote for the bill. Let’s hope the Republicans follow him, not Trump.”

Schumer wasn’t the only Democrat who agreed with Musk, as Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Bernie Sanders also echoed his scathing distaste for the package.

“Breaking news: Elon Musk and I agree with each other,” Jeffries said in a press conference. “The GOP tax scam is a disgusting abomination.”

Incidentally, the words “disgusting” and “abomination” were certainly having a moment on Tuesday.

Musk is right: this bill IS a “disgusting abomination”.

We shouldn’t give $664 billion in tax breaks to the 1%.

We shouldn’t throw 13.7 million people off of Medicaid.

We shouldn’t cut $290 billion from programs to feed the hungry.

Let’s defeat this disgusting abomination. pic.twitter.com/Hg01E9xcB8

— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) June 3, 2025

“Musk is right,” Sanders conceded on X. “Let’s defeat this disgusting abomination.”

Jamie Foxx Weighs In on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Rape and Sex Trafficking Trial: ‘A Nasty Motherf–ker’ | Video

Jamie Foxx said of former friend Sean Combs, “I don’t know if he’s going to jail, but he’s a nasty motherf–ker.”

In a video shared to YouTube by Urban Hollywood 411, Foxx joked about the rap mogul during a recent Q&A for his Netflix stand-up special at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

“For Black people, that was our hero,” he continued. “All that goddamn baby oil, boy! Why you so nasty, Diddy?” he asked, referring to the 1000s of bottles of baby oil confiscated by the FBI during a raid on Combs’ house in March 2024.

“For the Black people here, you know how that hurts us,” Foxx said. “That was our whole culture. Now it’s all about the baby oil.”

The “Django Unchained” actor, who spoke at the ceremony in 2008 when Combs’ received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, denied having been involved in any of the infamous “freak-off” group sex events at the rapper’s house.

“Hell, no! I left them parties early. I was out by 9. Something don’t look right … It looks slippery in here!'” he quipped.

He also riffed on the brain bleed he suffered in April 2023 that left him hospitalized for more than a month. “The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me! I know what you’re thinking … Did he?” he laughed.

Foxx said the near-death experience was “oddly peaceful,” but hot, which made him wonder if he was going to the “wrong place.” He joked, “‘Cause I looked to the end of the tunnel and I thought I saw the devil … Or was that Puffy?” He added that the rapper “had a flamin’ bottle of Johnson,” before telling the audience, “No, I’m just kidding.”

Foxx addressed his 2023 medical emergency in his most recent Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…” which premiered on the platform in December 2024.

Combs has denied sexually assaulting anyone, saying that all his encounters were consensual. His trial, which began on May 5, is expected to end sometime in July.

You can watch Foxx’s The Comedy Store appearance in the video above.

Tony Awards 2025: Who Will Win and Who Should Win

Let’s begin with the biggest question mark of this year’s Tony Awards: Which playwright is going to win the prize for Best Play?

On paper, before the 2024-25 season barely got started, it looked like it would be either Sanaz Toossi for her play “English,” which had won a 2023 Pulitzer Prize, or Jez Butterworth, who was returning to Broadway with his most recent West End hit, “The Hills of California.”

Now, Toossi and Butterworth look the least likely to win, and not because their respective plays have already closed. The Cinderella story of this theater season is Kimberly Belflower and her Broadway debut play, “John Proctor Is the Villain,” which panders to the liberal choir even more than Toossi’s “English.”

Tony voters may feel that it’s enough that Belflower, an educator from Appalachian Georgia, simply got nominated, and the contest is more between Cole Escola and the wild farce “Oh, Mary!” and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and his wild family comedy “Purpose.” Jacobs-Jenkins might be a shoo-in if not for the fact that his play “Appropriate” won last year for Best Revival of a Play. Escola might be seen to be a shoo-in if not for the fact that they are also nominated this season for Best Actor in a Play. “Purpose,” however, has the distinct advantage of being trashed by the chief theater critic at the New York Times, despite the play winning a 2025 Pulitzer Prize and being praised by most critics. The Tony voters like nothing better than giving the finger to the Old Gray Lady. My prediction is that Jacobs-Jenkins will win for Best Play and Escola for Best Actor, and both deservedly so.

Big winner of the night looks to be “Maybe Happy Ending,” which could easily take home the Tonys for not only Best Musical but also Best Actor in a Musical (Darren Criss), Best Director of a Musical (Michael Arden), Best Book and Best Score (Hue Park and Will Aronson). For me, this contest quality-wise is a toss-up between “Maybe Happy Ending” and the equally great but very different “Dead Outlaw” and its writers Itamar Moses, David Yazbek and Erik Penna. The edge goes to Park and Aronson since their musical also marks their Broadway debuts.

As a member of the New York Drama Critics’ Circle, I get to vote on the Tonys, and my vote for Best Actor in a Musical will be going to Jeremy Jordan for his phenomenal turn in “Floyd Collins.” But my vote aside, this Tony is going to Criss.

Twenty-five of the critics who comprise the Critics’ Circle recently voted on the best of the 2024-25 theater season. Critics in other groups don’t get to vote, so their awards to performers mean a little less than whom the Circle recently honored. The Circle gave its Best Performance award to Andrew Scott for “Vanya,” but since that one-person show is staged Off-Broadway, he’s not eligible for a Tony. Runners-up for that Circle award were Escola (“Oh, Mary!”), Sarah Snook (“The Picture of Dorian Gray”) and, surprisingly, Jasmine Amy Rogers (“Boop!”).

Snook looks likely to win for Best Actress in a Play, although I’ll be voting for LaTanya Richardson Jackson in “Purpose.”

Rogers has a less secure lock on Best Actress in a Musical. Her biggest competition is Nicole Scherzinger from “Sunset Blvd.” Surprisingly, Scherzinger didn’t get that many votes from the Critics’ Circle, and her comment endorsing Russell Brand’s pro-MAGA Instagram post last fall will put off more than a few Tony voters. Audra McDonald deserves to win for her performance in “Gypsy,” but McDonald is the Meryl Streep of the Tonys. In other words, “Her again?” If this were McDonald’s first nomination, which it is for both Rogers and Scherzinger, and not her 11th, the “Gypsy” star would win hands-down.

The George Wolfe-directed “Gypsy” deserves to win for Best Revival of a Musical, but the Tonys have tipped their hat here by snubbing him for Best Director of a Musical and instead nominating Jamie Lloyd for his over-the-top direction of “Sunset Blvd.”

Sam Pinkleton of “Oh, Mary!” deserves to win for Best Director of a Play, and he will.

Ditto Natalie Venetia Belcon (“Buena Vista Social Club”) for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and the thrice-Tony-nominated Jessica Hecht (“Eureka Day”) for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Jonathan Spector’s “Eureka Day” deserves the Tony for Best Revival of a Play, but will get major competition from David Henry Hwang’s “Yellow Face.”

Taylor Trensch from “Floyd Collins” should win for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, but Jak Malone from “Operation Mincemeat” will take home this Tony, because he gets to sing the show’s only memorable song, “Dear Bill.”

Glenn Davis in “Purpose” gives one of the season’s most subtle performances, but being understated doesn’t bring you the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play. The most acting, not the best, comes from Bob Odenkirk in “Glengarry Glen Ross,” and he will win.

Dave Portnoy Scolds Teen Fans for Laughing as Someone Shouts ‘F–k the Jews!’ During Toronto Pizza Review | Video

Dave Portnoy had an anti-semitic slur yelled at him in the middle of a pizza review.

On Monday, the Barstool Sports founder was preparing to take the titular one bite of his “One Bite” pizza review at a shop in Toronto when a passerby yelled “f–k the jews” at him from off-camera.

“There we go,” a shocked Portnoy said at the exchange as fans watching behind him started laughing. “What are you guys f–king laughing about? What is that Toronto hospitality there?”

Barstool Pizza Review – Terrazza (Toronto, ON) pic.twitter.com/rQw3Y3dQ1p

— Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) June 2, 2025

This is the second time in a month Portnoy had to publicly deal with the anti-semitic phrase. At the beginning of May, a lighted “F–k the Jews” sign was displayed by bottle service at a Barstool branded bar in Philadelphia. The founder went ballistic on X after the event originally saying he was “on a mission to ruin these people.

Eventually, Portnoy tracked down the two kids and they agreed to be flown by Portnoy to Germany and Poland to visit Holocaust sites, including Auschwitz.

“These are young f—ing morons who did this,” Portnoy said. “They’re drunk. Do you really want to ruin somebody’s life? … So, yeah, my initial reaction was I’m going to burn these people to the ground, their families, everything. And it’s like, you know what? Maybe that’s not the best course of action. Maybe I can use this as a teaching moment.”

He continued: “I talked to both the culprits who I know are super involved in it, talked to the families. I’m sending these kids to Auschwitz. They’ve agreed to go.”

Later, one of the two students backed out and accused Portnoy of weaponizing his social media to ruin his life.

Ryan Reynolds’ R-Rated ‘Animal Friends’ Pushed to Spring 2026

Ryan Reynolds’ r-rated “Animal Friends” has been pushed and will now be released on May 1, 2026, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment announced Tuesday. The live-action hybrid road trip adventure was previously scheduled to be released on Oct. 10, 2025.

The film also co-stars Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Addison Rae and Dan Levy. Peter Atencio, who made “Keanu” and “The Machine,” is directing from a script by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider. Plot details are being kept under wraps. The film initially went into production back in June 2023.

Legendary is producing alongside Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and producer Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. Visual effects and animation will be provided by DNEG, who provided the animation for the Oscar-nominated animated feature “Nimona” and visual effects for features like “Dune: Part Two” and “Furiosa.” The idea for the film came from a meeting between Burrows, Mider and Maximum Effort’s Patrick Gooing.

Danny Boyle Confirms Cillian Murphy Will Appear in ’28 Years Later’ Trilogy’s 2nd Film

Cillian Murphy will return in the new “28 Weeks Later” trilogy, but fans have to wait a bit.

While talking with IGN, director Danny Boyle revealed Murphy – who played Jim in “28 Days Later” way back in 2002 – would be at the end of “28 Days Later: The Bone Temple” releasing early in 2026 rather than in the first film in the trilogy dropping in June.

“He is in the second one,” Boyle said. “I shouldn’t give away too much. I’ll get killed.”

Boyle – who also directed Murphy in “28 Days Later” – worked with writer Alex Garland on a planned trilogy reboot of the zombie franchise. The first two films in the trilogy were shot back-to-back with Boyle’s “28 Years Later” dropping in June and the follow-up “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” directed by Nia DaCosta coming in 2026. The final film in the trilogy has not been financed yet but Boyle hopes Murphy’s inclusion – in the wake of his “Oppenheimer” Oscar win – will get them there.

“All I can say is you have to wait for Cillian, but hopefully he will help us get the third film financed,” he told Business Insider.

The director added more context to IGN: “It’s the epilogue or an end theme at the end of the first film that gives you a handover to the second film. Although each story completes itself, there’s a handover section to the next film as well. So it’s very ambitious. We haven’t got the money for the third one yet. It will depend how the first one does, I guess. But hopefully if we do okay, they’ll give us the go-ahead for the money and for the third one. Everybody’s standing by for that, really. Including Cillian.”

Fans of the original 2002 film were convinced that Murphy was already seen in the trailer for “28 Years Later” that dropped in December. A quick shot of a zombie walking through a field looked so similar to Murphy’s character Jim that it had many speculating that it was the long-ago survivor. Thankfully, the zombie was not Jim and it’ll just be a bit longer wait before he is back on the screen fighting for his life.

“28 Years Later” stars Aaron Taylor Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, and Alfie Williams. It lands in theaters on June 20, 2025.

Karlovy Vary Film Festival to Show New Films From Josh O’Connor, Andrea Riseborough

The upcoming Josh O’Connor film “Rebuilding” will screen as part of the 2025 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival along with multiple world premieres, KVIFF organizers announced on Tuesday.

The festival announced 11 films in its Crystal Globe competition section, but added that the section will include a 12th film from Iran. Artistic director Karel Och said in a release that the announcement of this final feature has been postponed until closer to the festival out of consideration for “the safety of its makers.”

“Rebuilding,” which makes its international premiere at the festival, immerses us in the life of a rancher (O’Connor) whose ranch has been destroyed in a wildfire and must now pick up the pieces in his life. It’s written and directed by Max Walker-Silverman, who previously made his feature debut with the delicate drama “A Love Song” in 2022. “Rebuilding” previously premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is set to be released in theaters later this year.

Also playing at the festival is Paul Andrew Williams’ “Dragonfly,” starring Academy Award nominee Andrea Riseborough as a woman who begins to care for her elderly neighbor though may have ulterior motives for doing so.

This year’s edition, which runs from July 4-12, is the 59th KVIFF and will mark the first year since the passing of festival president and actor Jiří Bartoška, who died in early May after serving in the role since 1994.

Previously, the festival announced that it will present a tribute to the 1940s actor John Garfield by screening eight of his films, including “The Postman Always Rings Twice,” “Body and Soul,” “Force of Evil,” “They Made Me a Criminal” and “Four Daughters,” for which he received an Oscar nomination.

It also announced that editor Jiří Brožek will receive the Presidents Award for Outstanding Contribution to Czech Cinema, and that Czech director Jaroslav Papousek’s 1969 comedy “Ecce Hommo Homolka” will have a premiere of its new digital restoration.

Stephen Colbert Solves the Mystery of Who Might Have Punched Elon Musk: ‘Could It Be Everyone?’ | Video

Stephen Colbert touched on Elon Musk’s exit from the Trump White house during his monologue on Monday’s “The Late Show,” and during his commentary he solved one particularly weird mystery about Musk’s White House exit press conference.

“The weirdest, I think maybe the weirdest part of this weird, weird meeting was Elon’s face, because, for some reason, he had a black eye. Oh no, if only someone in the White House had access to makeup,” Colbert joked, referencing, of course, Trump’s suspected application of heavy stage makeup.

“So why? Why the black eye? Who hates who hates Elon Musk enough to punch him in the face? I’m not Sherlock Holmes, but could it be,” Colbert said as he ducked below the camera. Then he popped back up wearing a Sherlock Holmes-style deerstalker cap and holding a pipe and added, “Everyone?!?”

“When asked about the shiner, Elon blamed his five year old son, X,” Colbert explained before running a clip of Musk claiming he was rough housing with said
toddler, and asked the toddler to punch him.”

“Completely normal thing every, every normal parent says to their child because, because we all know parents, know you got them on bedtime like a prison yard. Okay, okay, buddy, you know the drill. Put on your PJs, brush your teeth and walk up to the biggest daddy in this room and punch him right in the face,” Colbert joked. Then he turned his attention to the bombshell New York Times report over the weekend alleging Musk indulges in extreme levels of mind altering drug consumption.

“Now, to be to be fair, Elon might seem a little eccentric, because he is absolutely suited to the gills on vitamin three. According to a new report, during the 2024 campaign, Elon was using drugs far more intensely than previously known, including ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms… Elon’s favorite flavor of brain spice, evidently, was was ketamine, which he told people he was taking so much of that it was affecting his bladder. Wow. Bad for Elon. Great for my pre show exercises,” Colbert joked, adding, “the A-hole’s K-hole, F’d his P-hole.”

“Elon had previously said that he took a small amount of the drug to treat depression, but it seems like he might have been taking away more than that, because bladder problems impact chronic users of ketamine and can lead to frequent and painful urination and episodes of incontinence,” Colbert continued. “That is rough. You know, you’re depressed, so you take ketamine, you take so much ketamine that you pee your pants and that makes you more depressed. So you need more ketamine, I mean, is there is there any way to break this vicious cycle?”

Then he ran a clip of Iowa Senator Joni Ernst saying, “we are all going to perish.” Which, speaking of, Colbert began the monologue clowning on her comments about death over the weekend. You can watch the full monologue below:

Jimmy Kimmel Says the Press Should Stop Being ‘Polite’ Because ‘Trump Blasts Us With a Firehose of Crap Every Day’ | Video

There’s no real way to couch the fact that over the weekend, 78-year-old President Donald Trump shared an insane conspiracy theory about former president Joe Biden. And on Monday during his monologue, Jimmy Kimmel was somewhat exasperated by how the media covered it.

“All that ‘fraud’ and ‘abuse’ Elon and his Musketeers found through DOGE is nothing compared to what our Conspiracy Theorist-In-Chief uncovered over the weekend,” Kimmel said when he reached this topic.

“Our current President blew the lid off a bombshell cover-up involving our previous President that goes beyond anything we’ve ever heard before. This is perhaps the most shocking political scandal in the history of this planet,
Kimmel said with heavy irony.

Then Kimmel explained how Trump reposted the following post, written by a follower, on his Twitter clone, Truth Social: “There is no #JoeBiden, executed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless, mindless entities are what you see.”

“This is a ‘theory’ that claims President Biden was cloned and replaced by a robot,” Kimmel said before identifying at least one issue with it. “Which, first of all – aren’t robots and clones two entirely different things?”

“Not in Trump’s head they aren’t! And secondly, I know Trump puts out this stuff like, as a smokescreen to hide the fact that he’s about to cut 600 billion dollars from Medicaid, but this is so deeply nuts. How is this not on the front page of everything?” Kimmel said, turning his attention to the tepid coverage of the matter.

“The President of the United States is spreading deranged stories about his predecessor being a robot! Hey, Republicans, remember when you were very concerned Joe might not have the mental acuity to be President? Come get your guy – because he thinks Biden was executed and replaced by a clone. A robotic clone.”

“I mean, if your Dad was saying stuff like this, you’d start looking for an assisted living facility. And by the way, whoever built that Joe Biden robot? Is very bad at building robots,” Kimmel quipped. “I mean – if anyone was replaced by a robotic clone, it’s Melania. Right?”

“And then he uses the words ‘fake news’ with a straight face. It’s worth noting that the individual who originally posted this Biden gobbledygook that Trump reposted claimed today, since he’s on a roll, that Michelle Obama is actually a transgendered man who played college football at Oregon State, his name is Michael Robinson.”

“Which makes even less sense. When you go through the roster and learn that no one named Michael Robinson ever played football at Oregon State. Which means Michelle Obama is a ghost too,” Kimmel continued.

“Look, I know, I understand that Trump blasts us with a firehose of crap every day. but the media needs to stop being polite when they report this stuff,” Kimme; continued. “This is the headline from NBC: ‘Trump shares unfounded conspiracy theory claiming Biden was executed in 2020.’ Never mind ‘unfounded,’ this is not even a theory. That headline should be ‘Convicted Felon Posts Insane Fairy Tale About Cancer Patient While Constipated on Toilet.'”
