इश्क़ अनलिमिटेड

'इश्क़ अनलिमिटेड' एक ऐसा कहानी संग्रह है जो रोमांस में डूबी दस कहानियों को अपने आप में समेटे है। कुछ कहानियां मुकम्मल हुए इश्क़ की दास्तान कहती हैं, तो कुछ ऐसी हैं जो अधूरी रह गई मुहब्बत के साथ मन में एक कसक छोड़ जाती हैं।

पहली कहानी 'इश्क़ दोबारा' बिछड़ने के बाईस साल बाद एक शादी में वापस टकराये एक कपल की कहानी है, जो उस इत्तेफाक पर अपना अतीत याद करते उसी दौर को जीने लगते हैं। दूसरी कहानी 'संय्या बेईमान', प्रेमिका द्वारा छोड़े गये ऐसे युवक की कहानी है, जो ख़ुद को साबित करने के लिये ग़लत रास्ता अख्तियार कर लेता है और उस पथ पर हर लड़की उसके लिये शिकार हो जाती है।

इस संग्रह की तीसरी कहानी है 'सात दिन का इश्क़', जो बताती है कि सपने देखने वाले प्रेमियों का जब विपरीत सच्चाई से सामना होता है तो कैसे उनका प्यार हवा हो जाता है और वे अलग रास्तों पर बढ़ जाते हैं। चौथी कहानी 'प्रेम में पड़ी लड़की' मोबाईल गेम के सहारे एक लड़के के चक्कर में पड़ गई लड़की की कहानी है, जो अपने प्रेमी के पास पहुंचने के लिये घर से भाग निकलती है, लेकिन उस तक पहुंचने से पहले ही उसकी ज़िंदगी में एक अलग रास्ते की गुंजाइश बन जाती है।

पांचवी कहानी है 'वह पहला सा इश्क़', जो एक ऐसे युवक की कहानी है, जिसे कच्ची उम्र से ही एक लड़की से प्यार हो गया था और इत्तेफाक से पांच साल बाद वह उसे एक ऐसे सफ़र पर टकरा जाती है, जहां ख़राब हालात के चलते दोनों को एक जगह रुकना पड़ता है। छठी कहानी 'तुम वह तो नहीं' उस साहित्यप्रेमी युवक की दास्तान है, जिसे एक खास लम्हे में एक लड़की से प्यार हो जाता है और उसे पाने के लिये वह नैतिक-अनैतिक सभी रास्ते अख्तियार करता है, लेकिन जब हासिल कर पाता है तो पता चलता है कि वह लम्हा ही मात्र एक भ्रम था, जिसके भरोसे उसका इश्क़ टिका हुआ था।
इस कहानी संग्रह की सातवीं कहानी 'लिखे जो खत तुझे' उस 'पेन लवर' की कहानी है जो एक लेखक के शब्दों से ही प्रभावित हो उसे दिल दे बैठती है और हर हफ्ते उसे एक चिट्ठी लिखती है, लेकिन अंततः उसे यह भान होता है कि वह एक भ्रम में थी। आठवीं कहानी 'कसक' बिछड़ गये उस इश्क़ का फसाना है जहां जातिवाद से जकड़े समाज में मिल पाना मुमकिन ही नहीं था— लेकिन बिछड़ने के बाद भी प्रेमी न अपनी मुहब्बत भूलता है और न ही अपना फ़र्ज।

'बंसी वाला इश्क़' इस संग्रह की नवीं कहानी है जो सिर्फ बांसुरी की धुन सुन कर बांसुरी वाले के प्रेम में पड़ जाने वाली लड़की की दास्तान है, जो एक बार इस इश्क़ में पड़ने के बाद फिर इस इश्क़ से उबर ही नहीं पाती। 'ऑनलाइन इश्क़' सिर्फ सोशल मीडिया के सहारे पनपी वह प्रेम कहानी है जहां एक मोड़ पर पहुंच कर लड़का एक भ्रम का शिकार हो कर अलग रास्ता पकड़ लेता है मगर लड़की वहीं टिकी रह जाती है और वहीं ख़त्म हो जाती है।

सर्वाइवर्स ऑफ़ अर्थ

कहानी है उस दौर की जब हम इंसानों ने प्रकृति के साथ खिलवाड़ करते-करते उसे प्रतिक्रिया देने, पलटवार करने पर मजबूर कर दिया था और प्रकृति जब अपनी पर आती है तो इंसान जैसी ताकतवर प्रजाति का भी उसके सामने कुछ भी नहीं।
कहानी के केंद्र में चार लोग हैं जो दुनिया के चार अलग-अलग हिस्सों में रहते हैं। एक राजस्थान भारत का रहने वाला विनोद है— जो अपने आप से संघर्ष कर रहा है। उसे डिग्री हासिल करने के बाद जिंदगी की हकीकत से सामना करने के बाद अब अफसोस है कि उसने अपनी ऊर्जा अन्न हासिल करने के पीछे क्यों न लगाई, बजाय ज्ञान हासिल करने के… और वह पश्चाताप करने के लिये मां और बहनों के जिस्मों से गुजर कर उसके पेट तक पहुंचते अन्न को त्याग कर चल देता है जिंदगी के संघर्षों का सामना करने।
दूसरी ऑकलैंड न्यूजीलैण्ड में पैदा होने वाली एमिली है— जिसे न सिर्फ दूसरे कहते हैं बल्कि खुद उसने भी स्वीकार कर रखा है कि वह मन्हूस है। उसकी ईश्वर में कोई आस्था नहीं थी और न ही वह किस्मत को मानती थी लेकिन कभी इस पहेली को सुलझा नहीं पाई थी कि क्यों कोई अदृश्य शक्ति जैसे लगातार उस पर नजर रखती है और उसके बनते काम भी बिगाड़ देती है। वह इतनी मन्हूस थी कि मरने की कोशिशों में भी इस तरह नाकाम हुई थी कि जिंदगी में सजा के तौर पर उसका खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ा था। कभी अमीर कारोबारी रहा पिता उसकी वजह से होने वाले नुकसानों की भरपाई करते-करते कंगाली की कगार पे पहुंच गया था तो उसने एमिली को घर से ही निकाल दिया था और अब वह आस्ट्रेलिया और आसपास के छोटे-छोटे देशों में रोजी रोटी के पीछे भटकती फिर रही थी लेकिन बुरे इत्तेफाक कहीं भी उसका पीछा नहीं छोड़ रहे थे।
तीसरा है माली में रहने वाला सावो— जो कभी नाईजर नदी के किनारे बसे एक खुशहाल कबीले में रहा करता था लेकिन बदलते मौसम ने उसे ऐसे ठिकाने लगाया था कि अब उसके लिये दाने-दाने के पीछे संघर्ष था और जो थोड़ा बहुत उसे मिल भी रहा था, उसकी जड़ में उसकी बहन थी, जिसके लिये उसने मान लिया था कि बहन पेट से बड़ी नहीं हो सकती। वह उस जमीन पर था जहाँ कोई फसल नहीं थी और जो आयतित खाद्यान्न पर निर्भर था लेकिन बदलते मौसम ने पूरी दुनिया में ऐसी तबाही फैला रखी थी कि खाद्यान्न उत्पादक देश भी अब बेबस हो गये थे और नतीजे में वे देश जो आयतित खाद्यान्न पर निर्भर थे, एक-एक दाने के लिये खूनी संघर्ष कर रहे थे। सावो भी बहन और अमेरिकी बेस के सहारे जो कुछ पा रहा था, वह इसी संघर्ष के हत्थे चढ़ जाता है और उसे फिर चल देना पड़ता है किसी नयी जमीन की तरफ।
चौथा कैरेक्टर है इजाबेल— जो कैनेडा की रहने वाली है और जहाँ एक तरफ तीन चौथाई दुनिया संघर्षों में फंसी थी, वहीं वह उन चंद लोगों में थी जिनके लिये इस बर्बादी में भी बेहतरी थी। इजाबेल हद दर्जे की कन्फ्यूज्ड कैरेक्टर है जो लड़कों की जिंदगी भी जीना चाहती है लेकिन अपने स्त्रीत्व से भी मुक्त नहीं होना चाहती और अंततः एक दोहरी जिंदगी जीती है। जहाँ निजी पलों में वह एक लड़की होती है, वहीं बाहरी दुनिया में वह एक लड़का होती है। उसके लिये अगर कोई चीज बुरी थी तो वह था मौसम… कनाडा ऊपरी ग्लोब पर होने की वजह से बेशुमार चक्रवाती तूफानों की चपेट में रहता है और बढ़ता समुद्री जलस्तर जहाँ बाकी दुनिया के तटीय शहरों को निगल रहा था— वहीं उसके शहर को भी उसने आधा कर दिया था और एक चक्रवाती तूफान के साथ जिस दिन पूरी तरह गर्क कर देने पर उतारू था। वह शहर छोड़ कर चल तो देती है लेकिन बदनसीबी ऐसी कि कुछ ऐसे लोगों के चक्कर में फंस जाती है जो मानव अंगों के व्यापारी थे।
चारों अपने-अपने सफर में हैं कि तभी प्रकृति अपना तांडव शुरू करती है और नव निर्माण से पूर्व के विध्वंस का सिलसिला शुरू हो जाता है। वह विध्वंस जो जमीनों को उखाड़ देता है, पहाड़ों को तोड़ देता है और समुद्रों को उबाल देता है। कुदरत हर निर्माण को ध्वस्त कर देती है और पृथ्वी एक प्रलय को आत्मसात कर के जैसे अपनी पिछली केंचुली को उतार कर एक नये रूप का वरण करती है।
यह चारों किरदार किस तरह मौत से लगातार जूझते और संघर्ष करते इंसानी जींस को इस कयामत से गुजार कर अगले दौर में ले जाते हैं और नयी पीढ़ी की बुनियाद रखते हैं… यह जानने के लिये आपको इस कहानी के साथ जीना पड़ेगा।

जिस हिसाब से दुनिया में बेतहाशा भीड़ बढ़ रही है... कार्बन उत्सर्जन बढ़ रहा है... लोग प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का अंधाधुंध उपभोग करके उन्हें खत्म कर रहे हैं... और लगातार अपने लिये स्पेस बढ़ाते हुए बाकी सभी क्रीचर्स के लिये जगह और मौके सीमित करते जा रहे हैं, जिनसे हमारा इको सिस्टम प्रभावित हो सकता है... तो ऐसे में एक दिन कुदरत भी कोई मौका निकाल कर बदला लेने पर उतर आये तो?
अपने देश को देखिये... देश के लोगों को देखिये... क्या इन्हें एक नागरिक के तौर पर अपनी भूमिका की समझ है? क्या एक इंसान के तौर पर अपनी प्राथमिकताओं का पता है इन्हें? आपको व्यवस्था वैसी ही मिलती है जैसे आप होते हैं और अगर आप खुद ही समझदार और जागरूक नहीं हैं— तो यह तय है कि आपको सिस्टम भी वैसा ही लापरवाह मिलेगा।
ऐसी हालत में कोई डेडली वायरस इनवेशन हो तो? फिर वह वायरस नेचुरल हो या बायोवेपन... उससे ज्यादा बड़ा सवाल यह है कि क्या हमारी व्यवस्था उस अटैक को संभाल पायेगी? क्या हमारे द्वारा चुनी गयी सरकारों ने हमें वह सिस्टम दिया है जो किसी मेडिकल इमर्जेंसी को संभाल सके? शायद नहीं... कल्पना कीजिये कि ऐसे ही किसी विश्वव्यापी वायरस संक्रमण के सामने हमारी व्यवस्था कैसी लचर साबित होगी और करोड़ों लोग अकाल मृत्यु को प्राप्त होंगे।
सीआरएन फोर्टी फाईव ऐसे ही एक विश्वव्यापी संक्रमण की कहानी है— जिसका शिकार हो कर दुनिया की तीन चौथाई आबादी खत्म हो गयी थी और गिने-चुने विकसित देशों को छोड़ कर सभी देशों की व्यवस्थायें इस त्रासदी के आगे दम तोड़ गयी थीं और त्रासदी से उबरने के बाद भी सभी सिस्टम कोलैप्स हो जाने की वजह से ऐसी अराजकता फैली थी कि लाखों सर्वाइव करने वाले लोग फिर भी मारे गये थे... और बचे खुचे लोगों में करोड़ों की भीड़ तो वह थी जो इस संक्रमण का शिकार हो कर अपनी मेमोरी पूरी तरह खो चुकी थी और ताजे पैदा हुए बच्चे जैसी हो गयी थी।
यह वह मौका था जिसने उन सभी दबंग, बाहुबली और ताकतवर लोगों के लिये संभावनाओं के द्वार खोल दिये थे जो इस त्रासदी के बाद भी अपनी ताकत सहेजे रखने में कामयाब रहे थे। उन्होंने व्यवस्थाओं को अपने हाथ में लेकर उनकी सूरत बदल दी... देशों के बजाय ढेरों टैरेट्रीज खड़ी हो गयीं और उन्होंने बची खुची आबादियों को नियंत्रित कर लिया।
लेकिन क्या यह व्यवस्थायें भी हमेशा कायम रह सकती थीं... एक न एक दिन तो कहीं न कहीं बगावत का बिगुल फूंका जाना तय था और यह कहानी एक ऐसी ही बगावत की है, जो दुनिया को वापस पहले जैसा बना देने की कूवत तो रखती है... लेकिन सभी पिछली गलतियों से सबक लेकर एकदम नये रूप में... उस रूप में जो प्रकृति के साथ संतुलन बना कर चल सके और बाकी सभी क्रीचर्स के सह-अस्तित्व को पूरा सम्मान देते हुए उन्हें उनके हिस्से का स्पेस और मौके उपलब्ध करा सके और एक नया एडवांस डेमोक्रेटिक सिस्टम स्थापित कर सके।

#चैप्टर_1: अगर कभी ध्यान से सोचा जाये तो इंसान का अस्तित्व वह कुल इनफार्मेशन भर है जो वह अपनी आखिरी सांस तक हासिल करता है। यही उसकी मेमोरी है, यही उसके होने का अहसास है और यही उसका जीवन है। अगर किसी दिमाग़ से यह सारी इनफार्मेशन खुरच कर निकाल ली जाये तो फिर भले उसका शरीर बाकी रहे, लेकिन वह इंसान खत्म हो जायेगा, उसका अस्तित्व, "मैं" होने का अहसास मिट जायेगा और इसी से तो वह था। अब उसकी यह इनफार्मेशन अगर किसी दूसरे ब्लैंक दिमाग़ में या किसी आर्टिफिशियल ह्युमन में डाल दी जाये तो उसी इनफार्मेशन के सहारे वह कृत्रिम इंसान ख़ुद को वही इंसान समझेगा।
सोचिये कि कितना दिलचस्प है यह मेमोरी और इंसानी अस्तित्व का खेल… प्रस्तुत कहानी इसी विचार से शुरु होती है। इस विस्तृत कहानी का पहला चैप्टर इसी विचार से पैदा एक खोज है, जो एक चार सौ साल पुरानी हिमालयन रीज़न में दबी लाश की मेमोरी और आधुनिक युग के एक आर्टिफिशियल मानव के मेल के साथ शुरु होती है और अतीत में दबा एक ऐसा फसाना सामने आता है, जिससे ढेरों तरह की उलझनें खड़ी हो जाती हैं।
वहां मुगल साम्राज्य के उत्तरी किनारे पर बसी एक घाटी में वह सभ्यता मौजूद थी जो अपने महापूर्वज के लिये सोना-चांदी, क़ीमती कलाकृतियां/धरोहरें आदि लूट कर उस जगह इकट्ठी कर रही थी जो सत्रहवीं सदी में इक्कीसवीं सदी की आधुनिक सुविधाओं के साथ मौजूद थी, जो उस दौर में संभव ही नहीं था— लेकिन वह जगह ऐसे वीरानों में और भी जाने कितने पीछे से मौजूद थी। उन लुटेरों का महापूर्वज ख़ुद को दो सौ साल पुराना बताता था, जबकि दिखने में वह बस बत्तीस-चौंतीस की उम्र का ही था और वह झूठ भी नहीं बोल रहा था।
उन पुरानी स्मृतियों से जूझते एडगर वैलेंस के लिये वह सवाल ही नहीं बवाले जान नहीं थे, बल्कि आधुनिक दौर के वह लोग भी थे, जो उस पर अपने बाॅस को मारने और उनकी एक मोटी रकम लूटने का इल्ज़ाम लगा रहे थे— वह लड़की भी थी जो उस पर अपना शरीर लेने का इल्ज़ाम लगा रही थी और उससे अपना शरीर वापस चाहती थी, जबकि उसे ऐसा कुछ भी याद नहीं था।
#चैप्टर_2: एक आदमी अचानक ग़ायब होने के सौ साल बाद प्रकट होता है और बताता है कि उसने तो सिर्फ चार दिन किसी रहस्मयी जगह पर गुज़ारे हैं, और उसकी उम्र भी वही थी, जिससे दुनिया भर के लोगों की दिलचस्पी उस घाटी में हो जाती है, जहां वह रहस्यमयी जगह मौजूद थी। कुछ लोग हैं दुनिया में, जो सेटी (सर्च फाॅर एक्सट्रा टेरेस्ट्रियल इंटेलिजेंस) के लिये काम करते हैं या एन्शेंट एस्ट्रानाॅट थ्योरिस्ट कहलाते हैं— दुनिया भर में एलियन एग्जिस्टेंस के सबूत ढूंढते फिरते हैं और उन्हें एनालाईज करते हैं। उन्हें सौ साल बाद सामने आये इसी आदमी के भरोसे उस घाटी में एलियन एग्जिस्टेंस की भरपूर संभावनाएं दिखती हैं और वे इसका रहस्य पता करना चाहते हैं।
लेकिन उस घाटी के मुसाफिर बस वही नहीं थे— एक टीम वह भी थी, जिसके लोगों के देशों से सम्बंधित धरोहरें जो चार-पांच सौ साल पीछे के अतीत में चुराई गई थीं और सैकड़ों साल तक गुमशुदा रहने के बाद अब एकाएक नीलामी के ज़रिये बेची जाने लगी थीं— और बेचने वाले उसी खास घाटी में बैठे थे। उनके सिवा वे दो टीमें भी थीं, जिन्होंने चार सौ साल पीछे के इतिहास में दफन उस कहानी का पता लगाया था और अब वे न सिर्फ उस खज़ाने को हासिल करना चाहते थे, बल्कि उस जगह के राज़ को भी पता करना चाहते थे।
#चैप्टर_3: हम अपने ऑब्जर्वेबल यूनिवर्स में जितना कुछ देख जान पाते हैं, वह बस यूनिवर्स का चार-पांच प्रतिशत है और बाकी में जो अबूझ मटेरियल है, उसे हम डार्क मैटर और डार्क एनर्जी कह कर सम्बोधित करते हैं— लेकिन कहीं वही 94-95% यूनिवर्स ही तो असल यूनिवर्स नहीं है, जिसके लिये शैडो यूनिवर्स शब्द का इस्तेमाल होता है— और हमारा अपना जाना-पहचाना यूनिवर्स उस यूनिवर्स में आई मामूली एनाॅमली भर हो। कहानी का तीसरा चैप्टर इसी संभावना को साकार करते हुए इस वास्तविक यूनिवर्स का खाका खींचता है, जहां सब अनोखा है— उससे उलट, जो हमारा देखा और जाना-पहचाना है।
वहां भी सभ्यताएं हैं, तरक्की के पैमाने पर जीरो से लेकर वहां तक, कि वे पूरे यूनिवर्स तक को रीडिजाइन करने की क्षमता रखती हैं। जो सबसे तरक्कीशुदा सभ्यताएं हैं, वे इसी धुरी के अंतर्गत एक दूसरे के साथ संघर्ष में उलझे हैं और पृथ्वी से ट्रांसफार्म हो कर वहां पहुंचे लोगों को भी अपने साथ यह कह कर उलझा लेते हैं कि अगर उनका यूनिवर्स रीडिजाईन होता है तो इंसानों का यूनिवर्स ही कोलैप्स हो जायेगा। इस कठिन संघर्ष के अंतिम मरहले पर एक ऐसा महायुद्ध होता है, जिसमें पूरी की पूरी सभ्यताएं मिट जाती हैं।

द ब्लडी कैसल

ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म के लिये टेन मिलियन डॉलर की ईनामी रकम वाला एक रियलिटी शो 'द ब्लडी कैसल' लांच होता है जो हॉरर थीम पर होता है। यह शो सेशेल्स के एक निजी प्रापर्टी वाले हॉगर्ड आइलैंड पर आयोजित होता है जहां हांटेड प्लेस के तौर पर मशहूर किंग्समैन कैसल में कंटेस्टेंट्स को सात दिन और सात रातें गुजारनी होती है और जो भी कंटेस्टेंट सबसे बेहतर ढंग से सामने आने वाली हर चुनौती से लड़ेगा, उस हिसाब से उसे वोट मिलेंगे... सबसे ज्यादा वोट पाने वाला विनर होगा।
'द ब्लडी कैसल' टीम कैसल या आइलैंड के डरावने माहौल के सिवा भी अपनी तरफ से विज्ञान और तकनीक के इस्तेमाल के साथ उन्हें डराने की हर मुमकिन कोशिश करेगी कि उनकी हिम्मत का सख्त इम्तिहान लिया जा सके। उनके हर पल को रिकार्ड करने के लिये कैसल समेत न सिर्फ़ पूरे आइलैंड पर बेशुमार कैमरे होंगे बल्कि ड्रोन कैमरों की मदद भी ली जायेगी और उनकी सांसों पर भी कान बनाये रखने के लिये उनके गलों में एडवांस किस्म के रेडियो कॉलर पहनाये जायेंगे। उन कंटेस्टेंट्स से टीम कोई भी डायरेक्ट संवाद नहीं करेगी, न ही उन्हें किसी तरह की मदद उपलब्ध कराई जायेगी। कंटेस्टेंट्स को यह सात दिन अपने ढंग से बिताने के लिये पूरी छूट होगी और वे चाहें तो रेप और मर्डर तक कर सकते हैं।
शो के पहले सीजन के लिये भारत के अलग-अलग शहरों से आठ लोग चुने जाते हैं जो अलग-अलग फील्ड से थे। दिखने में यही लगता है कि उनका सलेक्शन रैंडमली हुआ है और वे सभी एक दूसरे से एकदम अनकनेक्टेड लोग थे। सारे नियम समझाने के बाद उन्हें आइलैंड पर पहुंचा दिया जाता है और उनका सफर शुरू होता है। उन्हें पहले दिन तो यह एक रियलिटी शो ही लगता है जहां दिन से लेकर रात तक उन्हें डराने की हल्की-फुल्की कोशिश होती है... लेकिन अगले दिन से ही वे कनफ्यूज होने लगते हैं कि यह वाकई कोई शो था और उन्हें डराने वाली सारी कोशिशें मैनमेड एफर्ट्स थीं।
तीसरे दिन से वे वाकई डरना शुरू कर देते हैं और उन्हें अहसास होता है कि दरअसल वहां वाकई पैरानार्मल एक्टिविटीज हो रही थीं और 'द बल्डी कैसल' टीम का कैसल की बुरी शक्तियों से एक समझौता हुआ था। शो के नाम पर उनका शिकार बनाया जा रहा था और एंटरटेनमेंट के नाम पर उनकी दुर्दशा को बेचा जा रहा था। उन्हें यह भी अहसास होता है कि वे रैंडमली नहीं चुने गये बल्कि उन्हें टार्गेट किया गया है और उनसे किसी तरह का बदला लेने के लिये यहां लाया गया है। वे भले दिखने में एक दूसरे से एकदम असम्बंधित हों मगर अतीत में उनके बीच कोई ऐसा कॉमन पाप घटित हुआ है जिससे वे सब जुड़े हुए हैं और शो का आर्गेनाइजर उसी पाप का शिकार हुआ है जो अब इतने यूनीक तरीके से उनसे बदला ले रहा है।

यह कहानी सौमित्र बनर्जी की आत्मकथा के रूप में लिखा एक ऐसा दस्तावेज है, जो अंत में एक रोमांचक मोड़ के साथ जब अपनी परिणति पर पहुंचता है तो इस कहानी के उस मुख्य पात्र को यह पता चल पाता है कि रियलिटी में वह अपने कमरे के अंदर अपने बेड पर सोता ही रहा था, लेकिन एक वर्चुअल दुनिया में उसने एक ऐसे रहस्यमयी शख़्स सौमित्र बनर्जी के जीवन के बारे में सबकुछ जान लिया था— जो एक अभिशप्त जीवन को जीते हुए उसी के ज़रिये अपने जीवन से मुक्ति पाता है।
कहानी में जो भी है, वह भले एक आभासी दुनिया में चलता है लेकिन कुछ अहम किरदारों का गुज़रा हुआ अतीत है— जिसमें क़दम-क़दम पर रहस्य और रोमांच की भरपूर डोज मौजूद है। सभी कैरेक्टर अपनी जगह होते तो वास्तविक हैं लेकिन वे रियलिटी में रहने के बजाय दिमाग़ के अंदर क्रियेट की गई एक वर्चुअल दुनिया में रहते हैं, जहां उनकी शक्तियां एक तरह से असीमित होती हैं।
यह एक ऐसे मैट्रिक्स की कहानी है, जो बाहर की हकीक़ी दुनिया में नहीं चलता, बल्कि दिमाग़ के अंदर बनाई गई ऐसी दुनिया में चलता है— जहां कहानी के मुख्य ताकतवर पात्र दूसरे किरदारों को उनकी मर्ज़ी के खिलाफ अपनी उस दुनिया में खींच लेते हैं, जहां वे उनके साथ रोमांस भी कर सकते हैं और उन्हें शारीरिक चोट भी पहुंचा सकते हैं। यहां तक कि वे उनकी जान भी ले सकते हैं।
अंग्रेज़ दम्पति के यहां पलते सौमित्र बनर्जी को उसके बीसवें बर्थडे की पार्टी कर के घर लौटने के दौरान एक रहस्मयी लड़की सावरी मिलती है, जो उसे उसके जन्म की हकीक़त बताती है। वह उसे उसके पिता के बारे में बताती है और खास उस दिन के लिये उसके पिता की तरफ़ से सुरक्षित की गयी डायरी तक उसे पहुंचाने में मदद करती है— जो उसके पिता सौमिक बनर्जी ने उसके लिये छोड़ी थी।
डायरी से उसे अपने पिता की हकीक़त पता चलती है कि वह कलकत्ते के एक रसूखदार परिवार से सम्बंधित था लेकिन अपने ऊलजलूल शौक के चलते परिवार से अलग हो गया था। उसने असम के अंदरूनी जंगलों में पाई जाने वाली एक मायावी शक्ति अगाशी को साधने में अपना जीवन ही दांव पर लगा दिया था और अपनी उस कोशिश के पीछे इस हाल में पहुंच गया था कि अब न ज़िंदों में ही रहा था न मुर्दों में।
उसके साथ अतीत में कुछ उसी के जैसे जुनूनी और काली शक्तियों को साधने के शौकीन लोगों ने, अगाशी को साधने की दिशा में एक ज़रूरी शक्ति पाने की गरज से अफ्रीका के गहरे अंधेरे जंगलों की यात्रा की थी, और उन आदमखोर आदिवासियों से वह ताक़त पाने की कोशिश में सौमिक बनर्जी के सिवा उसके सारे यात्री एक सहरअंगेज़ तजुर्बे के साथ मारे गये थे— लेकिन सौमिक वह ताक़त पाने में फिर भी कामयाब रहा था और अकेला ज़िंदा वापस लौटा था।
इसके बाद उसने असम के जंगलों की यात्रा की थी लेकिन वहां अगाशी की सत्ता चलती थी, जो वास्तविक दुनिया में कहीं थी ही नहीं। वह हज़ारों साल पहले मर चुकी एक ऐसी राजकुमारी थी जो एक अलग ही आयाम में रहती थी। उसके पास उन निशाचरों की एक बेहद खतरनाक सेना थी— जो उसके लिये लगातार शिकार लाते थे। वे सब शिकार इंसानों के ब्लड और फ्लेश पर पलते थे और इससे ही ताक़त हासिल करते थे और इसी तरह से वे ख़ुद को अमर बनाये हुए थे।
सौमिक उनसे लड़ने जाता है, अगाशी को साधने जाता है ताकि उसकी बेशुमार शक्तियां और अमरत्व हासिल कर सके… उसकी भरपूर कोशिश के बाद भी उसकी लड़ाई आधे-अधूरे में खत्म होती है। उसे अगाशी की शक्तियां तो नहीं मिलतीं, न ही अगाशी बाकी शिकारों की तरह उसे कंज्यूम कर पाती है— लेकिन उसे वह अमरत्व ज़रूर मिल जाता है, जो उसका एक लक्ष्य था… लेकिन उस अमरत्व के अभिशाप को जब सौमिक झेलता है तो उसे मुक्ति की ख्वाहिश पैदा हो जाती है और इसी ख्वाहिश के चलते उसने संयोग से पैदा हुए बेटे को अपने जीवन के अनुभवों से भरी डायरी के साथ कलकत्ते में सुरक्षित करता है।
अब वह वक़्त आ चुका था, जहां उसके बेटे सौमित्र को पिता का अधूरा काम पूरा करना था और अगाशी पर विजय हासिल करनी थी— और इसीलिये उसे अब असम के उन जंगलों में बुलाया जा रहा था। सावरी उसके पिता के दूत के तौर पर उसे बुलाने आई थी— लेकिन यह पूरा सच नहीं था। वह ख़ुद को इस तरह जाने के लिये तैयार नहीं कर पाता लेकिन रवानगी का वक़्त आने तक वह जैसे किसी जादू से तैयार हो जाता है— उसे अहसास नहीं हो पाता कि उसकी रवानगी में भी उसकी अपनी इच्छा का कोई रोल नहीं था बल्कि उसे कहीं और से तैयार किया गया था।
जब वह इस सफर पर निकलता है तब मलिंग के रूप में एक नये कैरेक्टर की एंट्री होती है, जो अपने चेलों के साथ उसे अपने सपनों में खींच लेता है और उसे मारने की कोशिश करता है। क़दम-क़दम पर उसकी तरफ़ से मिलती चुनौतियों के बीच सावरी लगातार उसकी मदद करती है और इन कोशिशों के अंजाम में उसे ख़ुद को साधने-संवारने के वह दुर्लभ मौके मिलते हैं कि वह अपने आप को अगाशी से मुकाबले के लिये तैयार कर पाता है।
अब असम के सफर पर आखिर किसने तैयार किया था उसे यूं अपनी ज़िंदगी दांव पर लगाने को? सावरी अगर वह नहीं थी, जो ख़ुद को जता रही थी तो फिर और कौन थी? और सौमित्र को अपने साथ ले जाने के पीछे उसका क्या मकसद था? मलिंग कौन था और भला वह सौमित्र की जान के पीछे क्यों पड़ा था? जो अगाशी वास्तविक दुनिया में थी ही नहीं, उसे जीतना भला कैसे संभव था? जहां वह थी, वहां बस उसी की मर्ज़ी चलती थी, वह उसी की बनाई आभासी दुनिया होती थी, जहां वह दूसरे वास्तविक दुनिया के लोगों को खींच कर कंज्यूम कर लेती थी— भला ऐसी शक्ति से कोई इंसान कैसे पार पा सकता था? सौमित्र के इस सफर का अंजाम क्या हुआ? क्या वह अगाशी जैसी ताक़त का सामना कर सका?

Giddhbhoj & Vulture Feast

‘Vulture feast’ is not a single story, but is the collection of twenty-five stories. These are the stories that are directly connected with us and the existing environment around us— These are related to our problems, idiotic ideologies, our past and our future. Each story shocks us, teaches us, it depends on us what we can learn from them.

‘Vulture Feast’ has two sections— The first section has the stories which are the main ones, while the other section has the stories which I have posted on social media, but you can find them in the names of anyone else. They are included in this collection so that they can get a real identity.

One of the main stories is ‘Vulture Feast’ It is a story of a farmer who is on the verge of starvation and ending his life— but ironically, he is known by the huge but useless name like ‘Annadata’. Destiny gives him a chance where he can choose to become a Messiah or to be an ordinary person and he chooses to be an ordinary person. ‘Salvation‘ is the story of a young boy who becomes a murderer by the influence of misleading propaganda on social media and messes with his future but his guilt does not let him stay peacefully anywhere.

‘Surkhab’ is a story depicting gender discrimination existing in the Muslim community, where a girl is forced to leave her home while fighting for her rights and equality continuously. ‘Incomplete Freedom‘ is a story of the struggle of this era, where the young generation trapped between conflicts of blind imitation of western culture and freedom arising of it and taboo of sex-prohibited Indian society is not even sparing the little girls to overcome their sexual frustration.

‘Characterless’ typifies each woman who is carrying the aspirations and taboos associated with good character, who does not spend even a moment of her choice and this character-based repression finally provokes her to live as per her wish. ‘Two Drops of Water’ is a story of the struggle behind the continuously exhausting water, where there comes a time that even a single drop of water becomes precious and we all have to suffer this ultimately. ‘Debauchery‘ is a story of a man who intoxicated by money and power considers every female to be a vagina only.

‘Religious Kufr’ is a fantasy of a person in the midst of the people with the herd mentality, who is able to become a human being by freeing himself from the chain of traditional and conservative ideologies. ‘Man of forest’ is the story of every such human being who is fighting capitalism disguised as development in order to save his land and the jungle. ’Pagli’ is a love story which goes against the strong religious beliefs, where mechanical people following the conservative ideologies are hell-bent on putting an end to the human relationships instead of understanding their value.

‘Shadow of Jamun’ is a story of that era where we have ruined our ecosystem by destroying trees and greenery to fulfil the needs of the growing population. ‘Attraction‘ is a story about the colour biasedness in which a dark girl grows up bearing social prejudice in such a way, that she has to do extra efforts to express her desires. ‘Silent Rebellion‘ is one such aspect of the facility provided by the constitution which many people overlook how the fight against the Brahminical system is absorbing the same ideology.

‘Iddat’ depicts the darker aspect of one of the Islamic beliefs where a woman has only examinations, while men are exempt at every stage. It is a tough fight to modify irrelevant traditions which a woman has to fight alone. ‘Astray‘ is a mirror for the younger generation who, due to their liberal lifestyle and comfort-loving tendencies, is ready to take any step without getting into an argument of ethical or unethical, even if that step is going to destroy their future or leading them to end.

God's Existence

This is non-fiction based on the experiences of personal life.

As a child, I used to be a typical Muslim— who used to offer namaz, observe Roza and believe in akhirat... Like the other Muslims, I was blindly convinced that this whole world (this planet, planetary system, the universe) has been created by God and he had introduced two human beings in this world as Adam and Eve to start life. He sent many messengers time to time who have conveyed the divine messages... about the right way of living life, the purpose of life and ways of worshipping that almighty God to their respective societies.

After we die, we will either be punished or rewarded in the grave according to our deeds and on the day of qayamat (judgement day) when the whole world will be destroyed, all those who were born— and now are dead will be raised back to life and all their good and bad deeds will be calculated and they will be sent to either heaven or hell where there is an everlasting life— that will never end.

In this concept, hundreds of such small things are included that can be believed only if you don't seek logic in it. If you will try to find logic, various confusions will be created and questions will arise and if you will try to find out the answers, this whole enchantment will collapse. This is applicable to almost all the religious concepts. From the very first step itself, they start challenging a logical intellect and you are forced to choose between logic and faith.

Most of the world’s population succumb to faith because it starts pressurising since birth... The pressure of family, school mates, teachers, friends, neighbours, relatives and colleagues at the workplace... When people around you are praising the illogical religious beliefs then it is impossible to save yourself from unbecoming like them.

But writing in me started developing since childhood and the most important quality of a writer is to be aware... he should know as much as he can. Till then whatever I knew about my religion was based on the literature of my own creed but then when I moved out of the world of ’belief’ and went on the path of ‘knowing’ I realised that the literature of Shia creed of our own religion was almost entirely different except for the part of the Prophet and the fourth caliph Hazrat Ali.

Now how to guess that which is more accurate? Then I understood that in history nothing can be totally right or wrong and religious writers of any creed can never justify with the history because they will only glorify their respective religious leaders. They will intelligently justify the weaknesses, failures and negative aspects of them.

In such a situation, it is better to read the writings of those neutral people who have researched that history without prejudice, by reading all the available facts and then they have written that what can be the nearest possible truth... And after reading that, all the enchantment was broken. All the religious concepts were collapsed like a castle of sand and truth came to light. Obviously, I was a little shocked, I felt bad as if something was taken away from me but I had already guessed it slowly while reading all this.

Then when all those things were cleared, which the religious people of this world have crafted then I was surrounded by the new questions like how this all was created... why it was created? So, I checked all the scientific discussions, research and possibilities available on this matter and came to know many new possibilities through which this planet, this planetary system and universe could be explained… Now after understanding the possibilities, a new curiosity arose that whether this is all self-made or has been created by someone? And if it has been created then what can he be like from the perspective of science?

If you believe Einstein's view then in this whole system, which can be called creation— everything is fixed that is there is a formula for everything, that is it will be like this or it will be like that. There is no room for “possibility” or “may”, but in this theory, there were many unanswered questions which were solved by the string theory which relates with the quantum physics and quantum physics is open about possibilities— or rather “maybe.” So now, if we think while keeping this in mind, then there are many possibilities about this whole system, which is discussed in the scientific world and we will also look at the same possibilities.

There are many articles on social media on these discussions and this book is a collection of those articles which is an attempt to make a garland by stringing many beads…

This story is about a planet Gradious which is quite similar to our planet Earth. The people of this planet are known by the name Cathiouns. Though not similar, yet they are similar to the people of our planet. The similarity between our people and their people is that there too persists continuous ideological dissension between science and religion. They too have similar beliefs and faith... that this world, the universe has been created by some Godly powers like Bandorah and Ellah. They sent Christopher and Edvina on Gradious to multiply the Cathiouns population.

They are helpless and they do their work according to the will of the Godly powers, though having the liberty to choose between the right and the wrong. Their judgement day will decide their fate. The people having done good deeds will be awarded a place in heaven named haviyan and the sinners will go to hell named shubuga. They too have several religions like Farayam resembling Islam, Veyraaism resembling Hinduism, Nibracism resembling Christianity. Similarly Buddha, Mahavira, Muhammad, Christ, Musa, Ibrahim, Nuh resembling Vudo, Wangti, Thausbut, Babusa, Ruza, Mile, Lua.

The difference between them and us is that we are on the verge of our journey from development to devastation. They are several hundred years ahead of us where they have had a lot of development but similar to we humans, the hunger of success and development made them ruin their beautiful world. As a result, Gradious can no more give the Cathiouns a suitable survival friendly atmosphere and habitat. The Cathiouns are now in search of a new habitat.

Now here comes a twist. They are confronted with certain truths, which were considerd true by half of them whereas it was some kind of imagination in the eyes of the rest. As a matter of fact the real truth lied somewhere in between facts and fantacy.

Breathing there last they are confronted with the unsolved mysteries of their evolution as Cathiouns and the web of complexities arisen out of the advancement against the law of nature, that led to the devestation of the ecosystem of their planet. Now when it was their time to leave the planet, they get confronted with self-realization, their purpose of life and their new destiny.

How to write a book in Word

What should be the content for the book—

If you write, then this article is for you. A subject can be anything from fiction to non-fiction. Non-fiction is based on your experience and knowledge, in which you don’t have to think too much, whereas, in fiction, one has to work hard. For that, first you should have a deep understanding of psychology for characterization and expression and secondly, before writing a story, the entire concept should be in your mind because, in the end, there should be many ends which are to be tied to the beginning. For example, when writing a suspense thriller or a Sherlock Holmes typescript, you have to keep in mind, what evidence do you have to keep leaving from the front page so that the culprit can be caught in the end?

Well, whatever you write, there are three ways to do it. Either you write directly on a Desktop/Laptop or write with a pen on paper and later on take the content to the phone with the help of Voice Typing and then take it to Desktop/Laptop with the help of Google Keep or Google Docs or write directly using Voice Typing on Phone or Desktop/Laptop. It’s easier to write in English for voice typing, but if you are writing in Hindi you will have to resort to Google Indic.

Where did religion come from and how logical from the point of view of science?
It should be noted here that in Voice Typing, only words will be printed and all symbols like comma, punctuation etc. will have to be applied by yourselves. So open a word file and move the content in smaller portions and while correcting the sentences, keep correcting the chapter paragraph breaks. Keep the number of breaks in the paragraph to a minimum, mostly use symbols like (, –…) for the sentence break. Be aware that these symbols take place immediately after the word and there is no space between them. Single space is added later.

How to do proofreading and editing—

When all the content has been uploaded in the word file and given all the necessary symbols, Chapter/Paragraph breaks then, from the page size view section, zoom in up to 200-350% so that you can see everything in enlarged view and then read it back, remove any errors that may occur.

Although doing this with one’s own writing work is a tough task, many writers who go to self-publishing platform and either they are not in a position to spend money or they don’t want to do it and they have to upload a Ready to Print file only, therefore these things should be done by themselves.

For proofreading and editing, it is better to turn on the marker which you will find in the “Home” tab. This will continually let you know, how many spaces you have provided or how many lines you have given in the paragraph break. After doing this, you can select the entire content and use the ruler to select the first line of each paragraph to be started with the tab space and it can be adjusted up to a quarter-inch, as seen in this article. According to the current format, you can finish the tab space manually from the first paragraph of each chapter and if desired, you can provide space between every two paragraphs like in this article, for which provide a spacing of 8pt in “Layout “ section or don’t do it if there is too much of content, it will reduce the pages a little. Make the font size 9 or 10.

How to design the interior—

Once you are satisfied that your script is complete, then focus on the interior. From the “Layout” section, go to the Page Margin and click on Custom. The Page Setup box with three sections will open. Here, in the Margins where you see “Normal”, click there and create a mirror image. There you can select between the Margins 0.5-6” for Top, 0.7-8” for Bottom and while keeping an Outer margin of 0.5” an Insider margin can be kept between 0.8-1”. It depends on you.

Custom Page size
Next, in the Paper part, set the page size from 5 × 7, 5.5 × 8.5, 6 × 9 whatever you want to keep. From the Layout, click on different Odd-Even, keep the section Start on “New Page”, keep the Header Footer margin to 0.3-4” × 0.5-6” and click on OK, so your file will be converted in the same proportion.

Now notice that on the first page, which is an “Odd” one, there will be the name of the Book and the Writer in Headline, the second is the “Even” page which is there for title verses as well as, Book / Author’s name, Copyright, ISBN, name of the Publisher/Printer etc. You can write a dedication on the third Odd page, leave the fourth-page blank. On the Fifth-Sixth page, write about the book in the “About” section. The seventh page contains the Table of Contents (if any) and Eighth should be kept empty.

If you get into writing articles then take more pages, but keep in mind that the beginning should be from the Odds and the end is either Even or it should be left blank. For this, you will hit Control plus Enter on the back of every next page. Now move the cursor to the previous page of Ninth or Eleventh page from where the main content begins, go to the “Layout” section, click on Page break and take the next page. This starts your “Section Two”. Convert all the main chapters of the book to sections using the same method.


Now put on the Page Numbers and Header Footer. For this, go to Page Number from the “Insert” section and select the numbers in the format you like. You have to do this on both Odd and the Even pages and also note that for each of your section, numbers will be different. For this, go to the first page of every next section and select the number by double-clicking, go back to the Page Number format and click on the “Continue from the previous section”.

Similarly, for Header Footers, you have to pay attention that the header footers of Odd and Even will be different. You can add writer’s name on the Odd and insert the name of the book on the Even and if the book is with many different chapters, then you can write the name of the book on Odd and the particular chapter on Even. To give a different header or footer for each different chapter, go to the first page of that particular new section and by selecting the Header / Footer you can unselect the “Continue from the previous section” tab from the design section. Then remove that Header and insert a new Header. Repeat this process in all sections. Now for removing the Page Numbers or Headers from the unwanted places, go to the “Shapes” of the Insert section, take a rectangular box to cover that point and convert the box border to white. The things that you don’t want will be hidden.

What to do for the Book Cover Design—

Lastly, you have to make a cover which, you can make either on Corel or Photoshop but if you don’t know how to do it, go to a self-publishing website, create an account and use their cover creator. While making the cover here, be sure to pay attention to the book size and number of pages because the “Gutter Margin” is determined by this. Then download the cover.

Keep in mind that if you are self-publishing, then make sure to obtain an ISBN and Copyright and for putting in the ISBN Barcode behind the Cover, you can take help of Corel or “Excel”. You can find related videos on YouTube. This way, when your book completes you can upload it on Createspace, Notion or Pothi in Print on Demand mode and you can also take their help for marketing by spending a little.
