Best Book/Movie/TV Couples

Tristan and Isolde from Merlin

I really like the way the tv show, Merlin, portrays these two. Although it doesn’t delve deep into their story, I feel like their characters are given a lot of “oomf” and personality. Need I mention their dedication to one another??? They are the gold standard for relationships.

Feyre and Rhysand

You know you happen on something great when you become obsessed. After I read A Court of Mist and Fury (the 2nd in the series), I was absolutely obsessed with these two. I wanted to look up their pictures. I wanted to create fanfiction (though I didn’t haha). I fell in love with Rhysand. More. I need more “Feysand”!

Chuck and Blair

Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf made the entire Gossip Girl series worth watching. I’m so surprised I finished it. It’s not my usual kind of tv show. But these two! Two conniving little serpents that are so enjoyable to watch. I never knew what they were going to do next.

Jo and Laurie

Not a couple, but I just love them together! Their chemistry in 2019 Little Women was amazing! Their friendship was unparalleled. Their chemistry, their connection, their banter. Why, Jo. WHY? I love the professor, but it’s Laurie we’re talking about! No one can replace him. No one.

Book Cover Crush Monday

I love this cover! There is just something about it that speaks to me. The colors. The black paint. I am putting this on my to-read list.

Book Cover Crush Monday

I haven’t read this book, but I absolutely love the cover! I’m thinking medieval and magic with a strong female protagonist? It might be worth looking into!

Book Review of Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas

The buildup was much slower than it really needed to be, and it was hard not to zone out occasionally.

Why does everyone have to get mutilated all the time? Not just killed, but mutilated and tortured. Once? Fine. Twice? Pushing it. Every time someone gets killed? Just gosh. Too much darkness that really doesn’t need to be in there.

So much frustration with this book. For every win, there are ten losses. I’m tired of everyone else having the upperhand and seeming to know things they aren’t supposed to know. The only character I ended up liking in this book was Dorian, and he only had a few pages here and there.

Can I just read an abridged version of the next book? Lol. I really want to see where it all goes, but without the slow buildup.

Anthology Proceedings to Go Toward Australia Wildfire Relief

I’m privileged to be a part of The Wild Rose Press, who is compiling an anthology from our authors. All proceedings from the anthology will go toward the Australia Wildfire Relief. The anthology includes short stories from The Wild Rose Press authors from all genres, and be sure to check out my story, Born of Fangs. It’s a bonus short story about Willow and Adam Degore, taking place after Bloodborn.

The release date for the Anthology has been set for February 14, Valentine’s Day, to show some love for those affected by the Australia wildfires. Less than a month to go! I’m so happy that I can use one of my talents to support a good cause, and I’m so grateful to be a part of a publishing company with authors, editors, and cover artists willing to donate their time and talents. Make sure to check back later for updates!

Monday Thoughts: Little Women

This movie was phenomenal. I am blown away. I have never seen a movie that I haven’t been itching to look at the clock, hoping for it to end soon. I never wanted it to end. I love it. Spectacular.

I absolutely loved the first Little Women in 1994, and I absolutely loved the new 2019 version. The cast was great, the acting was incredible. The only bad thing was that I was trying so hard to hide my constant tears! Everyone look away! No one’s crying over here. Really!

But honestly, if you haven’t seen this movie yet, I would urge you to go. I might even go see it again myself!
