Her True Alpha & Updates
Hello amazing readers -
Her True Alpha is NOT Merrick's book. And it is only a Novella.
I know you wanted more. I'm sorry. I'll be a good writer and email an update soon. You can always join my Facebook group or follow my podcast for more information on what the heck I am doing with my time!
Pssst- I really over-share my personal life in my group, and I get to talking on my podcast too, yada, yada style. Plus, I read the first chapter of Her True Alpha out loud to give you an idea of what you are in for.
Her True Alpha is a novella that takes place at around the same time as the last chapter in Her Broken Alpha – it’s Phee's story. It includes some “Mother” relationship. (Yes, yes, I do have mother issues.) I didn't intend this to be a full novel. I just wanted you to know what was happening with Phee and some 12 Sectors drama.
For December and January, I have been working on finishing the third Orki Warbride book, “Finding Her Freedom”, edits for “Her True Alpha,” and getting out a special post-apocalyptic paranormal dark romance called “Claiming Starlight.”
If you were one of my Wattpad readers, you will recognize the names “Sophie and Micah,” and notice you are getting a deeper look inside the world setting from my unfinished post-apocalyptic YA romance “Katie and the Reaper”- I mixed them all up for a short, smexy, werewolf, genre-bending romance that will be set in another series I’m calling the Apocalypse keys.
Sophie gets her happily ever after, but in a whole different world. Or dimension. Whatever.

If you have been stalking me you know that from 2019 when I wrote Choosing Her Alpha–to now, I have gotten a divorce, lived with my mother during covid, had major dental surgery, struggled with aging and identity issues, visited New Orleans, had massive anxiety and energy problems that came out of nowhere, spent too much time on twitter, written reams of bad-terrible-awful-poetry, traveled back and forth between my home and everywhere else, turned 52, and done some online dating!
And now we are all caught up.

For the love of M/F omegaverse
Want free books? There are lots of Omegaverse Author Groups and Related Groups on facebook where authors hold parties and give free digital books. Author groups are a good place to be in for ARC's, too.
Also, many omegaverse authors and our other favorite authors are trying to build tiktok followings. You can usually enter for free books there too.
We had an author party here in the All The Alphas group once where authors posted in the author section and also gave away a book. Are you readers interested in doing that? It was low key, and slow, lots of time to interact. Big chances to win something.
I will be trying to feature new omegaverse authors on facebook via parties and I also need to get ye old All the Alpha's instagram pumped up. Do any of you all hang out on insta? Tiktok? Reddit?

Finding Her Heart is OUT
Hey readers!
The second Orki War Bride book is out. Some of you love it and some of you not so much. I am not sure if I needed more time in edits or if I needed not be so stubborn– and stop trying to be so clever. But it is what it is and, actually, I am very, very proud of that book.
It was a killer to write.
For lots and lots of personal reasons that involve some dirty laundry, too stinky to air. Some of that stink slips out if you listen to my Podcast but I have more restraint when it comes to a blog post.
There will be a 3rd Orki book that ties the series together but it is nothing like the others. Finding Her Freedom. Brace yourselves. Set in the future and on a different planet it is about an Orki that was separated from his brothers and his warg family. It has dual points of view and is more traditionally omegaverse. It will be somewhat less–literary? Poetic? Bad Poe? Overly earnest Robin McKinley? But less all of those.
She: Is a highborn omega who does not want to be used as a pawn or womb or sex toy.
He: Has been captured by a race of slavers who try to use him to their advantage, try to execute him, then finally paralyze him and shut him up in solitary confinement for years on end hoping he will die.
Previously published in the “Auctioned Anthology,” this version uses “Proper Behavior,” as a template. And a lot has changed.
There are humanoid bad guys, a creature bad guy, and some stressful times during attitude adjustments.
There will not be a ton of baby Orki rearing, but there will be baby Orki.
And maybe a unicorn.

The Orki War Brides
Finding Her Heart, the next book in the Orki War Bride series, will be out this summer.
Taking place at the same time as the first book, Finding Her Luck, this second stand-alone omegaverse story, is about one of the human women taken by the Orki Originals. Annabell Roe the Woman of Woe is almost thirty years old, a widow and an outcast in her own community. She grew up knowing more about the Orki than most women. Once, long ago, an Orki even offered for her in marriage. But the offer was rejected, and her life turned into one disappointment after another. She isn’t living. She is surviving.
And then her quiet, pacifist “humble life,” farming village is invaded.
And things get really bad.
If you have followed my journey, you know that my first books were shared on Wattpad the free app before I published them and you, the reader, were my beta readers. I have done that again because you, the readers, are the reason I write.
Readers made my dreams come true by adding my first book Her Chosen Alpha to the m/f goodreads Omegaverse list, reviewing them while they were still online and in their rough/raw/ and sloppy (unedited by a professional) and helping me become a real writer. Your support has meant everything. Is the reason I can do this and why I do this.
I love fairytale romance stories and the challenge of writing things in my own style. It's not for everyone. Actually, I didn't expect anyone to like the way I write or care about what I write. I love run-on sentences, fragment sentences, commas, extravagant words and lyrical-poetic repetition. I like my romance on the dirty, smutty side and without a lot of angst then I put my characters in antagonistic violent worlds. I write what I love and I am thankful you like it.
There will be more Alpha Books. I didn’t expect you all to enjoy them and I will get back to that series. Trust me when I say it is not some smart marketing decision that had me writing different stories. It has more to do with the muse, and timing, and flow than anything else.
I knew I had to write Merrick’s story and I wasn’t there yet. He was too whiney in my head and making excuses–not a character anyone could fall in love with. We both needed to go through some things before I could hear his story properly.
Find me on social media, ask me questions, comment, reach out. You all are amazing. 2021 is crawling towards 2022 – and the best stories are yet to come.

Next Book Update
I think I am going to be one of those writers that is always trying to do something new and never does what the reader wants. Ugh. I didn’t want to be THAT kind of writer. But I did not understand how stubborn a muse can be, or what the book creating process looks like. How some authors get books out in a month, I do not know.
My process is not super complicated, not usually. I have an idea for characters, and an idea for the world that shaped them and where I want the story to go. But this writing in the same world is complicated. Especially when one doesn’t take good notes on the world as they are writing it, then they do something else for 10 months, and come back to it. I’m just saying. Some people make it harder than it needs to be because they don’t plan.

At this moment I have 4 unfinished stories about six that I am eager to start. If you get my email I sent out a big long one about how I plan to go about that. I may have already changed my mind and taken a different route trying to get that muse to work with the whole book process.
What is the book process? I am so glad you asked. For me, the first step is writing. 2nd step is sending to someone who can clean up the mess I made trying to write something, third is posting the rough to Wattpad. (even after the first edits I will need more.) I post on Wattpad until the book is finished, giving even more time for readers like you to offer edits (its vs it’s -because my mind does not care, and other assorted homophones, continuity issues, and please Isoellen-cut that scene.)
Once the book is finished, it is up for a very limited time before it goes for formal edits, changes, proofreading and then on to be sold. You readers have been wonderful in the past, leaving reviews, and buying the book anyway, so this process of letting you read the draft has worked for me. I will continue to do this until it doesn’t work.
Speaking of edits – are you a qualified editor who has read my books and is comfortable with all the extra commas? Every writer says they are a little different, but I do like to drop definite articles and toss semicolons and dashes around. After spending the winter writing romantic poetry on twitter, this issue is now WORSE. I’m looking for an editor that is really good with the grammar but understands what I want to do with the way the writing sounds – and I am hoping to find an editor that is not so busy that they can commit to working on books with me. Why are all the good editors taken?

Her Broken Alpha
It has taken much longer than I hoped since this book was finished last year around this time. But I am thrilled to be releasing it now through Reticent Publications.
Pre-Orders are open NOW for Her Broken Alpha – book to go live on Amazon Kindle on August 22.
The next book in this series will be Merrick’s story. I am playing with ideas of giving Phee (Naya’s sister) a short story too. Sector 12 continues to give me endless opportunities to write.
However. I have other books that will come out first, including the omegaverse, “Finding Her Luck – an Orki Tale,” and the omegaverse epic -fantasy “Caught – Balancing Magic.” I might also work on two other unfished stories posted to Wattpad, but I wanted to let you know that I will start no new worlds until the books I have are already finished and exhausted.
2020 has been a crazy year for all of us. So crazy. Personally, in the midst of hardship and decision making, I found you guys, you readers, and I want you to know that I am both very blessed by you and don’t want to disappoint you.
I hope you like this next book Her Broken Alpha. Darre is not perfect or honorable. He’s made many destructive decisions. Some may find his choices unforgivable. But we have all made choices we regret. I hope you keep that in mind as His Broken Alpha unfolds.

March 2020 - What is next
March 16 – Corvid 19 2020
Hello readers,
I feel like a date is needed with this post. All is well here with me and mine and I hope it is the same with you.
Choosing Her Alpha is out had has been very warmly received. We have bounced close to Bestseller a couple times, and I have a photo from our moment in the sun on Amazon Canada , as a number one Bestseller. It is amazing to be surrounded by fantasy authors like Neil Gaimen and Luann J Smith.
I am currently in edits for Her Broken Alpha.
This is not Merrick’s story.
Merrick’s epilogue was not meant to be a brutal teaser. I stopped and started his story and realized I couldn’t get very far because I didn’t have his redemption arc worked out in my head. He was still angry and spoiled -looking for short-cuts.
But while he was in Sector Two his older brother caught my eye. The Mad Monster.
And so book two was born.
CHA and HBA were written over a period of months in the summer of 2019 while I worked nights. I never thought to publish them. And I made some mistakes in the world building.
Many people have said they want more of Sasha and Constantine Kane, that they need an epilogue.

And then there is a big gap in the timeline.
One way or another all of the stories will get told. Each book will be a complete book, one romance, set in one world with an HEA, I am hoping to create stories that are standalones but work well together.
I have a voice actor has been acting out 1st person point of view scripts for Nothonal Darre – Her Broken Alpha – The Mad Monster. These are two things: Scenes from the book as told from Darre’s perspective OR scenes surrounding the book as told from Darre’s perspective. They are unique – sometimes tingle inducing sexy bits – for you the reader. Currently, the narrator has two of them (n scene from when Darre first meets his omega, and an epilogue scene) posted on his audio site. This may be a little too spicy for some of you. Ben is an erotic audio artist with a growl that makes my skin MOVE. From the first moment I heard him, I knew he was Darre and he has jumped right In and embraced this filthy minded, broken man, in every way shape and form. I also may have found a similar voice for Constantine Kane. And I think I should find the voice of Sasha. – having those voices read first person experiences, act short clips out the character, would be amazing to me. Perhaps not everyone will love it, but my intention is to make them totally FREE BONUS material. You won’t be able to download them, but you can visit, any time you like. I feel like a date is needed with this post. All is well here with me and mine and I hope it is the same with you.
Choosing Her Alpha is out had has been very warmly received. We have bounced close to Bestseller a couple times, and I have a photo from our moment in the sun on Amazon Canada , as a number one Bestseller. It is amazing to be surrounded by fantasy authors like Neil Gaimen and Luann J Smith.
I am currently in edits for Her Broken Alpha.
This is not Merrick’s story.
Merrick’s epilogue was not meant to be a brutal teaser. I stopped and started his story and realized I couldn’t get very far because I didn’t have his redemption arc worked out in my head. He was still angry and spoiled -looking for short-cuts.
But while he was in Sector Two his older brother caught my eye. The Mad Monster.
And so book two was born.
