In Conversation with Author Elizabeth Macneal
It’s not often that I anticipate a book as keenly as Elizabeth Macneal’s Circus of Wonders which is published today! I first came across Elizabeth after I entered Pivotal into the Caledonia Novel Award in 2018 and despite being unsuccessful myself, I followed the progress of her first novel, the winning entry, The Doll Factory, […]

In Conversation with my Editor – Anna Barrett
Meet Anna I found my brilliant editor, Anna Barrett (née Hogarty), through Reedsy (think CheckaTrade or RatedPeople but for writers) where you can search for professional editorial support, read testamonials and match to your requirements. Within her business, The Writers Space, Anna mentors writers and works editorially with storytellers from all over the world. She […]

Pivotal and Tango – Fiction and Dance Intertwined
At the launch of Pivotal on 17th October 2019, Antonio Riva of Tango Bridge UK treated everyone to a surprise Tango demonstration. Antonio had agreed to collaborate and I billed him as ‘The Mystery Man’ beforehand in order to keep the Tango connection with the book a secret. The evening was a great success, as […]

Nikki Vallance
My debut novel, Pivotal, is out in Oct 2019 published by Hashtag Press.
I began writing ‘Pivotal’ whilst still working in my recruitment career, following a flash of inspiration in a session with my own coach.
I'm married with a blended family of five children,(four adults and one teen) across two hemispheres. Although I'm a beginner, I'm a big fan of Argentine Tango, which I hope to dance in Buenos Aires one day.
My blog covers a wide range of subjects reflecting my love of all things creative, including tips on how to navigate life as a writer, interviews with publishing industry professionals and authors, and my own writing story en route to publication.
Please do share your thoughts on my blog posts, via comments. I'd love to hear from you.
