You Are The Creator of Your World

You Are The Creator of Your World

The most powerful lesson I have learned in my life so far, is that I AM the creator of my world. But not just me, we all are. Everything we experience is the manifestation of our habitual thoughts and emotions, which are expressed through words. So, by our words, we create our world.

Dear Ancestors (Book Review)

Dear Ancestors (Book Review)

Salute to Chadwick Boseman!

Salute to Chadwick Boseman!

I woke up this past Friday morning to my wife telling me that Chadwick Boseman had passed. The news blew me away. He was to young, I thought. So I looked it up online and discovered that he died of colon cancer and had been battling with it for the past 4 years.

Stop Giving Your Power Away to Your Oppressors

Stop Giving Your Power Away to Your Oppressors

Here we go again. Another brother of ours has been shot by the cops. And what is our response? To protest, vote and beg for justice. SMH. I wish so badly that we would stop seeking justice from the same government, police system and people who enslaved us. It’s foolish and self-defeating.

Your Words Create Your Reality

Your Words Create Your Reality

Years ago, back in my early twenties, I discovered the power of words and how they shaped our lives. That discovery helped me to transform my life from the streets to becoming a legal entrepreneur and later a best-selling author (under my former name).

But somewhere along my journey, in the midst of all the religions I was a part of, I lost my grasp of the power of words; placing more emphasis on the abilities of deities and messiahs than my own; and things began to go downhill for me.

Queen & Slim (Semi-Spoiler Alert)

Queen & Slim (Semi-Spoiler Alert)

Yesterday, my wife took me out to see Queen & Slim for my born day. It was a great experience. The movie was engaging from beginning to end and it spoke to many of the issues that we as black people face here in America. It was so raw and real to the black experience that it felt like a semi-documentary.
