Help Name the New Series

When I obtained the rights to all of my previously published novels, I started reviewing the books to see if I wanted to make any changes. I had the luxury of viewing the body of work as a whole. I realized many of the books shared the same setting: Regency London during the Season of 1816. In planning the revisions for the new editions, I started thinking how much fun it would be to have the characters of those books interact. They were all in London at the same time, attending the same parties and balls, going to White’s, of course they would know each other. At the end of the planning process I realized I had created a series of books with characters crossing from book to book. Now I have one small dilemma, I’m not sure what to name the series. I thought I would ask readers to help me.

The series is set in 1816 Regency England and Scotland. The heroes are aristocrats: two Earls, a Marquess and a Duke. The heroines are all older and consider themselves spinsters, except one. If you have any ideas for the name of the series or if you need any more information to help give me a title for the series, contact me via my website: debradier.com.

Thanks,

Debra

Happy Birthday Jane Austen

Happy birthday to Jane Austen. We share the same day, not the same year. I swear it is not the same year.

Return to the Original

Many readers have contacted me to let me know they would prefer I keep the same title for the books when they are released in the future. I have heard you and I shall comply. I will soon be retiring the title A Twist of Fate. The book will be released as the revised version of Beyond Forever with a new cover. Please forgive me if I confused anyone about the book. I thought I was making things easier for you. I see my mistake. Thank you for letting me know your concerns. In the future the books will retain the original titles even when they have been heavily revised.

A Twist of Fate Win $350

Enter the A Twist of Fate Likeness Contest for a chance to win a Grand Prize of $350.

We are looking for creative people who can transform a fashion doll into the likeness of the leading female character in the novel A Twist of Fate by Debra Dier. The likeness must represent Julia Fairfield as she appears while she is in 1816 Scotland and England as Eliza Fitzgerald. This is the romantic Regency time period, an era often depicted in Jane Austen movies.

The entry best depicting Eliza Fitzgerald from a scene in the novel will win a Grand Prize of $350. The second place winner will receive $50. The third place winner will receive $25.

You can pick any scene from the novel as long as it takes place in 1816. Any scene depicted must include the doll dressed in clothes for that time period.

As photos of the entries are received they will be displayed on debradier.com . All contestants must enter by April 4, 2014. Visitors will vote for their favorites beginning April 5, 2014. Voting will conclude May 9, 2014. Only one vote per email address will be accepted. The Sponsor will select the winning entries based on visitor votes and Judge’s choice on May 10, 2014. Prizes will be awarded the week of May 12, 2014.

Reader Poll

It is time to create the next cover. The talented Kim Killion of the Killion Group will create the next cover. I want to know which you prefer: shirtless hunk or a demure couple fully clothed about to kiss. Let me know what you think.
