I grew up on the Texas/Louisiana border and have lived on the Gulf Coast my whole life. I entered the fire service as a young man, and worked as both a firefighter and later an arson investigator. I retired due to injuries in 2013.

I have a BA and an MA in History and also an MS in Criminal Justice. I currently teach history at a community college in Southeast Texas. So Others May Live is my first novel.

I love books, cats, baseball, redheads, and boxing, though not necessarily in that order. When I'm not in the classroom or my office, you can usually find me reading a book or listening to a Red Sox game on the radio with my cat Anastasia Colleen Hutch.
