Short and sweet. I mean so, so sweet. Trillan is a fragment of the Endless: an entity and dimension unto its own. And while previous fragments of the Endless have invaded the human world and sent them screaming for a mage and a pitchfork, Trillan has no interest in taking over that other dimension. In fact, she just wants...

Urban fantasies are often a tough sell for me and, full transparency, the main reason I picked this up was to fulfil a summer reading challenge prompt. So, I was in no way prepared to have my mind blown by this book. Holy cow, this was so much fun! Ask me to give comps and I can’t think of anything that comes close—it’s part future dystopia, par...

They now live and work as a teacher in Australia.

Elise’s love of fantasy and ancient history combine in their Young Adult Fantasy Ruarnon Trilogy, which blends the political structures of Old Kingdom Egypt...

10 Questions with Mara Lynn Johnstone

Mara Lynn Johnstone grew up in a house on a hill, of which the top floor was built first. She split her time between climbing trees, drawing fantastical things, reading books, and writing her own. Always interested in fiction, she went on to get a Master's Degree in creative writing, and to acquire a husband, son, and three cats. She has published three books and many short stories. She still writes, draws, reads, and enjoys climbing things. She can be found up trees, in bookstores, lost in thou...
