E-book of course. No idea what countries it’s available in. Nobody tells me nothin’. (Thank you, Deb, for letting me know.)

Happiness is Catching Up

I am behind on everything EXCEPT The Honey Pot Plot which goes back to Bob today. Which means I can now do my taxes, do the ms critique I should have finished a month ago, catch up on cleaning, do all the Argh Authors I’ve been asked to do, and maybe get some time to do stuff for myself. I am so glad my part of that book is done. Of course, now Bob gets all the work, but I think he’s been chomping at the bit to get it, so that’s something. Big happiness that I’m done with that rewrite.

So what made you happy this week?

This is a Good Book Thursday, March 6, 2025

This week I read The Honey Pot Plot AGAIN. Thanking Zoe, Krissie, and Deb for editing and beta-ing, but now I need to get this last pass out of here. When will it be published? Soon.

So what did you read this week?

Working Wednesday, March 5, 2025

My pal Krissie (Anne Stuard) and I are horrible housekeepers, so we’ve decided to tap into our competitive spirits and get cleaning. The plan: We send each other pictures of our disastrous rooms and then work on them and send pictures after we get them straightened out. No you cannot see the pictures; I’ve seen mine and I’m appalled. On the other hand, I’ve written a lot of books in the almost two years I’ve been here, so there’s that.

What did you work on last week?

Happiness is Variety

So the Washington Post did an article by Mary-Jane Williams on thirty-two ways to up the happiness in your life.. My fave was probably how to make your dog happier–I’m ridiculously in love with my rescue dog, Johnny–but there was also the bit about luxury details (I have thick fuzzy blankets from Anthropologie that you will have to pry from my cold dead hands because they’re furry but the only thing that died to make them was polyester) and how to save the fireflies.

What made you happy this week?

This is a Good Book Thursday, February 27, 2025

I’m currently reading books on Banksy, which is a lot of fun, although of course it’s also serious work. Kinda.

What did you read this week?

Working Wednesday, February 26, 2025

Bob and I have slowed down to talk about the next book and we now have a great premise that he suggested and that I can work with, he has time to drive somewhere for a couple of days and unwind his brain, and I have time to read my research and watch TV (also research) and walk Johnny three times a day which is doing great things for my health. And spring is on the way eventually. Nothing but good times.

What did you work on this week?

This is a Good Book Thursday, February 20, 2024

This week I read books about art crime and came to the conclusion that people who buy art as an investment are idiots. I still have more reading to do, so that may change, but that’s where I am now.

What did you read this week?
