Dotter and Rain in Sicily

Mario Benenati of Fumettomania Factory invited us to Sicily. We were there for two presentations of Dotter of her Father’s Eyes and Rain. First in Messina to students at the Liceo Artistico Basile: And then again in Barcellona P.G., where we also participated in the opening of Mario’s Anthropocene Project, an international exhibition. But we were also treated to plenty of touristy delights. We loved Messina’s Museo Regionale Mume. And the Parco Museo Jalari near Barcellona is an extraordinary, magical place. Capo Milazzo was lovely too. And of course we ate far too much fabulous Sicilian food!

Dotter in Naples

Just back from a week in Italy! We’ve been promoting the Italian edition of Dotter of her Father’s Eyes. We were mainly there for the book launch at Napoli Comicon last weekend. The convention was packed with people. Not seen such crowds for a long time – it seemed like all the world and her husband. We met Nicola Pesce, our publisher, for the first time. And had pizza! The morning before embarking on our long, long train journey down to Messina in Sicily, Damiano Gallinaro kindly showed us round the old centre of Naples. And we had more pizza… We were invited to Sicily by Mario Benenati of Fumettomania Factory. To be continued…
