Book 5
As of yesterday Book 5 was sent to my publisher!
There are a few hoops to jump through ,but it won't be long now.
Book 6 is already partly written as well.
Iv'e looked at the comments I've received and thank you all for both the good and the bad.
I have noticed that some people [on other sites] are disappointed that my books are not 'standard'
Alternate history, that there is a degree of poetry in them and the viewpoints include those of ships which are 'alive'.
In explanation all I can say that I am an engineer and so spend hours writing dull, dusty reports that have not an ounce of romance but tell tales dryly using functional words.
It would be possible,I suppose to write books like that,it is possible that there are books like that.
But I choose not to write like that ,because when I write I am not an engineer, I am Hugh Lupus and he writes as he sees things to be, not as they are.
So for new readers please consider this fair warning.
These books are not 'standard'.
They are a different war...... told [I hope] differently.

Progress
I confess to being a blog virgin and I'm not at all sure if this will be of interest to anyone but here goes.
Book 5 is so far about 50,000 words towards completion.
I try here to begin to show how France has changed in this version of the second world war as well as mapping out how Italy fares without an Allied invasion and how Greece fares with one!
As well as previously introduced characters there will be Italian princesses and French prostitutes, locomotive drivers and a stubborn Greek village.
So I'm pushing on and hope to have it ready in the New Year.
And that was my first blog ever!
Regards
Hugh
