Mark Romain is a retired Metropolitan Police officer, having joined the Service in the mid-eighties. His thirty-year career included two stints on homicide, and during that time he was fortunate enough to work on a number of very challenging high profile cases.

Mark lives in the county of Essex with his wife, Clare. They have two grown up children and one grandchild named Archie. The family includes two English Bull Terriers and a very bossy Dachshund called Weenie, who, despite being the smallest dog in the pack, definitely rules the house!
Mark grew up in North London and is a lifelong Arsenal fan. He is also an avid skier, although he didn't actually start skiing until his early 40s!

Another hugely enjoyable romp for Cook and Lady Margaret! A cracking story, great characters, plenty of action. What more could you ask for! Looking forward to the next instalment.
