I've never been shy, although I can be reserved in certain situations. These are good suggestions. I think it can be good to be around other people. Sometimes, the people in our lives expect us to behave in a certain way and hold us back when we try to assert ourselves. It can be hard to break out of those restraints, especially for people pleasures. One step or activity at a time.
