Secrets - a different perspective
Below is a short story (1200 words) that I had intended as a contest entry, but I missed the deadline. Plus, I wanted it to be available for free, and not deal with all the fuss of everything that happens after "the end".
If you've read Secrets - Part 2, there's a scene that takes place at a bistro...told from Lauren's POV. This short is based on that scene.
I thought about how stories are normally told from a set perspective. You have the MC or two, and a few other characters. That's what you get because that's what the story calls for.
But that's not how real life works. Other "characters" interact with our story whether we know it or not. The person waiting in line behind us at the gas station, the person getting gas at the next pump, someone waiting for us to leave, the people that stop at the light at the intersection waiting for the ambulance to pass. Why are they there and what do they see while we are "cast" in their story?
This is the idea behind "Lunch Break". A guy is eating lunch when Lauren enters his "story". Enjoy!
------------------
Secrets - Lunch Break
What do I want for lunch today?
Food establishments were scattered across downtown and, six of them were within a ten-minute walk, but today—like most days—the destination didn't matter, the direction was already predetermined.
When she first appeared on my radar, I incorrectly thought she was a customer at the art gallery. The black dress accentuated her curves and was short enough to show off her toned legs. For a fleeting moment, I thought her smile on the other side of the window was directed toward me. Then reality set in. Why would a woman who could have starred in one of those television big-city housewives shows smile at someone like me? A guy who looked like he could be cast as an extra in any biker movie. Instead, it was just the portrait on her side of the glass that caught her fancy.
Back then she had shoulder-length brown hair, but recently she cut it to a choppy bob. Both styles looked great on her.
I knew she wouldn't be working today—it was Saturday after all—but I walked by the storefront anyway. Imagine my surprise when I saw her, dressed in a khaki blouse and black pants, talking to a customer. Damn, she looked sexy. I pretended to window shop while watching them interact. The guy oozed money. Expensive-looking suit, GQ look, hell, that was probably his Tesla parked on the street.
Then I saw him lift her hand and kiss her fingers. Who does that anymore? She looked like she was about to swoon. My show ended soon after when they walked to another room.
--^--
My lunch destination ended up being Pirella's Bistro, a couple of blocks away. Taking advantage of the good weather, I asked for a seat on the upper-level patio. While I waited for my Chicken Parm Stromboli, I pulled out my phone to surf the internet. It kept me occupied until my food arrived. When the waitress stopped by a few minutes later to check on me, I nodded and said everything tasted good. As soon as she left, I sawthem.
I was only two tables over, and nobody occupied the spot between us. He pulled out her chair and waited for her to sit, directly across from me. Either he was very much the gentleman, or they were still in the newlywed phase. There wasn't a ring on his left hand, but that might not have meant anything. I sighed when he took the seat across from her, thus blocking my view. I wanted to move to the chair adjacent to me so I could watch her, but that would have been too obvious. I didn't want to appear like a creeper, so I returned my attention to the plate in front of me.
I finished my meal and asked for my check a few minutes later. I still had plenty of time left on my lunch break, but I couldn't just sit here hoping for an opportunity that was most likely not going to happen.
The man shifted in his seat, stood, and for a quick moment, turned to look at me and grinned smugly. It happened so fast that I almost missed it. He positioned his chair next to her and sat, giving me a clear view again. Moments later, the waitress returned, but there was no way I was leaving now. I ordered dessert and asked for a refill for my drink.
The woman across from me flinched, slightly, when he rested his hand just above her knee. Then her body stiffened as he moved up toward her thigh. Her mouth opened as if she were about to say something, but no words were formed. Taking a drink seemed to calm her, and she made no effort to stop his roaming fingers.
When he started rubbing between her legs, she looked toward me, but our eyes never fully made contact. It was like she was in a daze as he played with her. Her lips parted, and even from here, her breathing appeared labored.
The waitress stopped at their table, but that did not deter him as he took care of...his wife or lover? Would a husband be that brazen to make his wife come in a public setting?
Again, he glanced my way to make sure I was watching. When he suddenly stopped and removed his hand, a wave of disappointment washed over her. The way she frowned was cute, her nose slightly upturned, looking like she was about to pout. He must have stopped just before she was about to orgasm.
After he said something to her, she stood and moved to the rail next to their table. She looked around, but if she noticed me, she didn't show it. Her mind was obviously somewhere else.
She placed her hands in front of her, not holding the rail, but fiddling with something instead. Then her pants slackened. They stayed on, but it was apparent to me that she must have unzipped her zipper because the waistband didn't hold her beautiful figure as tightly as before.
He pressed up against her. She had to be able to feel him. She made me hard too, and I was only watching. When his hand replaced hers, she closed her eyes and leaned back against him. He briefly looked at me, and nodded to the chair next to me that was also close to the railing. I took the hint and switched chairs, angling it so that I could now see his hand inside her pants.
Her black panties matched her pants. They looked satin-soft as the man's fingers glided on top of them. Then he pushed against her pussy, some of the fabric wedging between her lips. He rubbed faster, his fingers unrelenting. She seemed lost to the world as she started to moan.
She wasn't the only one not aware of her surroundings. I almost jumped out of my skin when a hand touched my shoulder. I turned around as the waitress set the updated check on my table. She bit her bottom lip as she watched the same display as me. Her body pressed against me, and as I leaned slightly backward, her breasts acted as a soft pillow.
The man briefly smiled in our direction and then started whispering in the woman's ear. Was he telling her that they had an audience? Whatever it was, he hit the right buttons. She started shaking and her moans grew a little louder. She bit her bottom lip...she had to be close.
The waitress squeezed my shoulder, and I tried to be discreet as I rubbed my shaft through my jeans. Did we have an audience too?
There was no question when it happened. Her eyes flew open along with her mouth. I thought she was going to scream across the rooftop. Surprisingly, she muffled it, but the signs were apparent. She arched her back and lifted off her heels, then fell back against his body. Her muscles tensed and then relaxed as he held her shaking form.
I looked behind me when the waitress removed her tight grip. Her smile was almost as sexy as what we had just witnessed. She walked toward the couple, talked for a little bit, and then took a few pictures for them. If he had asked me to take some earlier, or even a video...well, I doubt their level of exhibitionism went that far. But...who knew what secrets people kept hidden. I'd sure love to know hers.

Secrets – The long journey to publication
Wow, this story has taken a long time to reach your hands. The first chapter was completed in July 2019 and the epilogue exactly two years later. The idea percolated on the back burner while I worked on a few other stories in 2019 and 2020. When I was on Chapter 9, I paused to write Bake at 350. And then I paused again midway in Part 2 when my wife passed away. Although I considered stopping, the story wouldn't let me, and once I made it to Part 3, the writing went a lot quicker.
But really, the story started before July of 2019. Secrets was a culmination of two ideas. The first was one of my very first hotwife ideas...even before POB. Originally, it was a scene that was a page or so...I'm not even sure if I have it anymore. A husband films his wife on the couch and streams it to the internet. Although she was mostly clothed, she did not give consent and was thoroughly pissed. So, to get back at him she goes into the bedroom, locks the door, and does something she has never done before, a streaming solo sex show.
Well, that idea didn't go any further and went to join other ideas that never get developed. Just because it's an interesting idea, doesn't always mean there's a story there. Writers have a huge pile of these ideas...ask one.
Then I had this other idea. There's a good chance you know the song Escape by Rupert Holmes. If you like pina coladas...getting caught in the rain. The song is basically a cheating couple story. But me and my old lady had fallen into the same old dull routine. They both look for a hook-up in the classifieds, and end up answering each other's ads.
I thought how easy it would be to use that premise and turn it into a cuckold story. Instead of meeting only her husband, she sets up two anonymous dates, one with him and the other with his boss. This probably would have been more cuckolding than I originally intended, but it was a good place to start.
Escape, the song(which I also used as the title holder for a few chapters until I came up with Secrets), starts off as a cheating song, but it evolves into a couple rekindling the flame that had left them. Secrets follows a similar path. Although it starts out as a cheating wife story, it becomes so much more. It's probably the closest story I've written that would fall into the hotwife genre.
I hope you enjoy Evan and Lauren's journey as they navigate the choppy waters in front of them.

Part 1: Converging Secrets will be released tomorrow, 9-9-21. Part 2 is currently available for preorder and Part 3 should be available to preorder this week. All parts will be available on Kindle Unlimited.

Secrets...DONE!!
As mentioned previously, I took some time off from writing. My wife passed away two days after my last blog post. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to do much of anything except normal RL stuff.
Well, I did eventually get back to writing. At times, it was slow, but there was a progression. Part 2 was finished in May, and now Part 3 is done.
So, what's the current status? I'm 1/3 done with editing. It's a long story...over 100k words. After talking to a few authors, we came to a consensus that it would be easier to digest as 3 novellas. So, that's my plan. I'll release all 3 close together, and then down the road, release the collection and most likely a Part 4.
Yes, I did say 4. I've left the door wide open for a sequel (novella). You'll still be able to read the first 3 and enjoy the story of Evan and Lauren w/o having to wait for 4 to come out.
Now comes the not-so-fun part. Editing, redesigning the cover for 3 parts, getting some ARCS out (anyone interested?), a possible mailing list (yeah, I know I've been saying that for a while), and promoting it.
And the worst part...now I have to come up with 3 blurbs...

The pause button
Some of you may know that my wife had a hemorrhagic stroke back in September. We had thought that maybe she could have beat this third round of cancer. The melanoma had spread again...this time to her brain.
Her fight is almost over...this was something that couldn't be beat. She's only 49 years old...cherish what life you have.
----
So, obviously I've been a bit of a wreck, and understandably, my mind's not been on writing, proofing, or much of anything. "Secrets" is on pause near the end of Part 2. I could release Part 1 in March and Part 2 in April, but I feel that if I did that, who knows when 3 would be released...and 2 kinda ends on a cliffhanger. I still prefer to release it as one novel instead of 3 novellas. So, for now, it's in a holding pattern for a little bit.
---------
On a quasi related note, the morning she went into "comfort-care" status, I wrote this short which you might like. It's something different from me, but is along the lines of my other main WIP, "From Death to Life". Enjoy...
Two Equals One
Cancer stole my wife from me before she turned fifty. It was a long hard fight, but ultimately one that was lost. I was lucky to spend over twenty years with her.
“This is not goodbye. It's until we meet again,” I whispered to her. After placing a kiss on her forehead, I said, “I love you.”
Our mutual request was for a simple funeral and to be cremated. Neither of us wanted to burden the other with additional expenses at the worst possible time. Not like there's ever a good time for your loved one to die. Her urn was placed in the living room, and at times, gave me the feeling as if she were sitting on the couch watching the television next to me.
Years later, Alzheimer's caught up to me. This battle was also one that could not be won. My daughter honored the same request that my wife made of me...to be cremated. With her mother's urn in one hand, she removed the lid. Moments later, I was reunited with my wife.

Winter update and a look back on 2020
Greetings. I hope you have a safe and healthy holiday. Yeah, that's not a normal line, but it's been a strange year. Especially for me.
First the good. I released 3 books this year, all of them a bit different than what I have written before. Bad Girls: Mia came out in April. It was a dark cuckold revenge story that had a “Groundhog Day” element to it. It was challenging to write...keeping the timeline straight while reverting back to the same day, and keeping the story interesting.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087F5X265
Next was A Cucked-up Night, released in June. After writing BG: Mia, I needed to write something light-hearted. Something designed more for laughs than a normal hw/cuck story. Humor is subjective, I know, but I thought it came out pretty good. Also, it was what I needed to get back in the hotwife mindset.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089Q72QCG
After that, I started my current WIP - Secrets, but more on this one later. I paused writing this for a Halloween idea, my first seasonal story. Bake at 350 was again something different than my norm. There's no hotwifing or cuckold elements in it...just a fun romp. It has similar elements to the old movie Bell, Book, and Candle.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KSG2KWN
I had less than two chapters left to write of “Bake” when my real-life world was shaken. Late September, my wife – only 48 years old, had a stroke. Fast forward to today, she was just recently released from the hospital, but it's going to be a long road to recovery. Finishing the last two chapters was rough, but thankfully, the story was far enough along that I got it published in time. If it weren't a Halloween story, it might have been on hold for much longer. I'm glad I did finish it because I needed something to take my mind off what was happening...even just for a moment here and there.
That brings us up to my WIP, Secrets. When I paused it to write Bake at 350, I was nine chapters in. This wasn't going to be like my previous shorts. It was either going to be a novel or a series of 3 novellas released close to each other. After going back and forth, I decided novel – with 3 parts (or acts) inside. I'm already on the second one, and I'm guessing the total word count to be 70-90k words. Also, the cover is already done, but that's mainly due to Flash (the site I use for my covers) is going away very soon.
So, what's it about? The basic premise is the husband and wife are both keeping a secret from each other. What happens when their secrets overlap? It starts off as a cheating wife story that evolves into a hotwife story. There'll probably be some cuckold elements in it, but I have no clue if there will be any MM. So far the story in my head leads to probably not, but that can easily change since there's still over half the book left to write.
I don't know when Secrets will be available to read, but I am hoping for Spring. I'm not going to rush it because I want to deliver a quality product to you.
Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and here's to a better 2021.

Bake at 350 Q/A
Wow, 2 months from idea to published. That's fast for me. Okay, it is a short story (14k words), but that's a little longer than my previous one. I did have a deadline though. There won't be much of a demand for a Halloween story once the holiday passes. But hey, if people read this in February, no arguments here :)
So, what's it about?
A college guy discovers a new coffee shop and the shop owner offers him a cookie. But, he doesn't realize that it's not an ordinary cookie...and she's no ordinary owner.
Blurb:
Coffee Crumbles is a cozy little shop—the perfect shelter from a blustery October storm. But as Blake discovers, delicious cookies aren't all the place offers. The shop’s owner—a mysterious woman named Calliope—isn’t your average dominant female. And as it turns out, her plans for Blake are far from typical, either.
Bake at 350 is a 14k word erotic Halloween tale.
Hey, where's my hotwife/cuckold/bi-curious story you always write?
Not here. I was going for something different with this story. Plus, those kinks really didn't fit the characters. This is about the attraction of two strangers, not a couple looking for more. No need to worry, I didn't make it sappy. The woman is a bit of a domme.
Will you be writing more like this?
I have a hotwife series in the works, and ideas for other HW/cuck stories. But you never know when a good idea will hit. This story is a perfect example.
What's with the 3rd person POV?
I wanted to try something different with Bake. All my previous ones were written in 1st, and it was tough to stay in the 3rd mindset while writing this. Will I do 3rd again? Dunno...maybe for the right story, but I realized I like writing in 1st better.
No spoiler page?
Sorry, not for Bake. Real Life kinda reared its ugly head near the end of writing this one.
I have to have this now!!!
Well, I certainly hope so! As per all my titles, Bake at 350 is available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. I hope you enjoy it...

New WIP - Bake at 350
Late last night (try 1AM...I was tired but couldn't fall asleep), I was surfing Periscope and came across this webcam titled: “Loaded Macadamia Nut Cookies.” It wasn't anything that I was searching for, but the little preview window showed a tray of cookies.
I clicked on the cam, and there was a woman that had recently finished baking a few trays of cookies. Hell, they looked good. I watched it for a few minutes, then closed the window and the app. BTW there was nothing unusual with the video...just exactly as I described it.
A bit later while actually trying to sleep this time, an idea for a short popped into my head, based on that video. What if a guy was seduced by a woman's cooking? It's said that “The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.”
No, my idea is not a rom-com. It's also not my standard cuckold or hotwife story. If anything, it leans toward femdom. It also will take place in October. I have yet to start it, but since it's a short and most of the plot is in my head, I'm hoping to have this one out soon.
Look for “Bake at 350” sometime late September (I hope)

Secrets - WIP
My current WIP is called Secrets.
I've had the basic idea for this story in my head for over a year. It got put on hold for my last three books, but I think it'll be better for it. Unless I find something better, the cover is already done...one I found for my last book but decided to save it for this one.
The idea has morphed slightly since then, but it still revolves around the idea that both a wife and husband have secrets and what happens when they are revealed.
So, when will it be ready for you? I'm working on it, but I'm not one who can quickly pump out good stories...and I expect this one to be as good if not better than Pushing our Boundaries. I'll give you more updates when I get further along.
Have a fun, and safe, summer.

Cover Reveal and Blurb - A Cucked-up Night

My next story A Cucked-Up Night should be set to publish on Amazon in the next few days. I hope you enjoy this short fun story.
--------
Bambi is insatiable. Although she has her big black husband, Kevin, and their butler at her disposal, it's still not enough to satisfy her libido. It's never enough.
Tonight she's going to scratch that ever-present itch differently. Bambi wants someone below the poverty level—those poor souls below seven-figure incomes—to make her scream. When they find that perfect someone, it'll be a night they never forget.
This 8400-word hotwife/cuckold short story contains hillbillies, an inflatable, and doesn't take itself very seriously. M/F, MMF, and light MM scenes.

Early beginnings
When answering a reader's question about one of my WIPs, I thought about how I got to this point, and where I actually started.
I was always poor at descriptive writing in school. Narrative, grammar, and even diagramming sentences...that's where I excelled. But I was, and still am, more of an analytical thinker. I might have been a CPA or something if I had realized it earlier because numbers were my strong point.
During my college years, I was introduced to LPMuds. For those that have no clue, a text-based MMO...that you and others create. My "home" was on Vincent's Hollow, based out of Iowa... even though I lived a few states away. At the time, I actually lived a few hours from one of the biggest and most popular LPMuds, Darker Realms. http://www.darkerrealms.org/dark/ Since my friends played on VH, I did too.
When I started building my area (using a version of C coding language...I think it was LPC), I had three distinct areas, one based on John Norman's Gor series of books, another based on Subway (where I worked at the time), and a rock and roll area. I wrote descrips of rooms, monsters, quests...etc. It was fun. I also think I went by "Lucian" as my character. I've used that game name for a few decades.
Two people from this game (I believe...but am not positive) and I started a writing project a few years later. It was a fantasy story...completely separate from the game. We would alternate who would write a chapter. Sadly we didn't finish, and I have no clue what happened to the original work. It was pretty good...including my contribution.
Then my writing shut down for a couple of decades until I started writing POB. Why I stopped, I don't know. Maybe lack of confidence in my ability (*shrug*) to write a good story like those that I read.
And now you know...the rest of the story.
