Deosaran is a Professor of Criminology and Social Psychology at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus, in Trinidad and Tobago. He is also the Director, Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice and Psychological Research at UWI. Deosaran has served as an Independent Senator in the 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Republican Parliaments of Trinidad & Tobago. His publications include:
