Make A Difference

Everyone is born with a great purpose attached to their life. This was placed in us by the Creator, and God planned it before the earth was formed. If this doesn’t blow your mind, I don’t know what will.

We all feel the need to make a difference, to be part of something greater than ourselves. This, too, was given to us by God. But how do we do it?

To be a true difference maker, you gotta go counter-culture. Going along with the crowd will only take you as far as the crowd goes.

Take the road less traveled. Be different. Be a difference maker…

Too Late

C. S. Lewis once wrote, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream.”

Are you one of the many people who believe their best days are behind them? I assure you they are not. You have a future, a date with your destiny. It might not look like a Hollywood movie, but it is your personal story.

Fear and Worry

What do you worry about? Health, finances and family are three important things people worry over. But what is worry, and from where does it come?

Worry rears its ugly head when we are trying to control the uncontrollable. When you really consider it, we have no control over anything but our attitude. We have the ability to guide our thoughts, so let’s guide them away from fear and worry and toward God’s will. That will give you peace when you remember who is in control.

Focus on things unseen, not just what you see. God works behind the scenes…

Laziness

All of us can be lazy. Weekends are nice because our work responsibilities have left us for a couple of days. But being lazy all the time is not good.

We have a burning desire inside of us to accomplish our greater purpose. We must find that purpose and not look back. When we find what really turns us on, weekends won’t matter anymore because we will continue working right through them.

We are on the road to our destiny…

From Darkness

What do you fear? Are you afraid for your health, your finances, or are you simply afraid of being left out?

Fear binds you in darkness. Nothing can grow in the dark. Open your eyes to a new way of thinking. See the world around you through a different lens.

Go toward the light and stay in it. And allow the light inside you to shine brightly…

Stuck

Do you ever get a song stuck in your head? No matter how hard you try to get rid of it, the song persists.

Your mind never shuts off. You are constantly thinking. Thoughts swirl around in your head. I encourage you to get positive thoughts stuck in your head. You have control over your thoughts. You really do!

Use your mind to advance your life toward your dreams. And dream big, worthwhile dreams…

Your Place in History

You and I were born imbued with a greater purpose in history. God has a perfect plan in an imperfect world, and we are part of it.

God gave us unique gifts and talents to bring honor to Him on this side of eternity. In Heaven we will worship Him forever, but we aren’t there yet. What are we doing here to fulfill His plan?

We have a bigger calling on our lives. Much bigger than most of us are living. We weren’t born to just work, eat, watch television and sleep. Find your calling and go for it with everything you have in you. It won’t be easy. But God is on your side so you will succeed…

Team Sports

I love sports. Always have. There’s something special about participating in sports and watching exceptional athletes. But there is so much more to sports than just counting wins.

Every team has superstars. To be a star you need a supporting cast. Running backs are recognized for yards gained, but they wouldn’t make a single yard without an offensive line, no matter how fast they run. Michael Jordan was the best ever, but Scottie Pippin fed him with assists.

Sports teach kids responsibility, accountability and sacrifice. It sounds a lot like the skills you need to succeed in life, whether you played sports or not…

Initiative

Initiative is the desire to do something before anyone else does. If you have initiative you are taking the lead.

Look around. What needs to change, whether it’s something in society or someone in your life? There are multiple challenges that we need to engage with and move the bar forward.

Nothing changes until we take the initiative. Do something today…

The Supernatural

God’s power operates in the supernatural. We have access to His power to accomplish the impossible when we are operating within God’s will. He will make things happen through us that should not happen in the natural world. Only then will people believe.
