“But never is a long time, when you have eternity to consider.”

~ The Damned (The Beautiful, #2), by Renée Ahdieh

Hello awesome people, happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Victorious Pages.

I know, I know… Two book reviews in a row. But what can I do? It’s been a while since I had written book reviews, plus both today’s review, as well as Saturday’s were about two of my most anticipated releases of the year.

To be honest, they both disappointed me.

Hello awesome nerds and happy Saturday everyone!

It’s been a while since I shared a book review with you all, but it has also been a while since the last time I read a book about which I had things to say, feelings and thoughts to share. And although I expected this particular novel to be, yet another, favorite of the year, as its prequel was, this didn’t end up to be the case.

❄️ Merry Netflix-Mas: 5 + 2 Movies to Watch this Christmas Season ❄️

Hello awesome people. happy Monday everyone and welcome to a quite merry post today!

I hope you all had a great weekend, you had the chance to recharge your batteries, and despite everything that’s going on in the world right now, you remain optimistic and positive! ❤✨

I admit, I had plenty of mood swings over the past few days. But because I don’t want this to happen to you, too, I have a list of extra-merry, slightly cheesy, yet perfect for this time of the year Christmas movies (and series) that you can watch on Netflix this year!

So, enough with the talking and let’s get to see the movies!

1. The Princess Switch 2: Switched Again

I admit… Many have said that there was no need for a sequel. But HOLY MOLY! This looks so freaking cool and funny! I honestly can’t wait to see what’s going to happen now that there aren’t two, both three identical princesses!

2. Dash & Lily

Christmas, books and bookworms? Count me in! This is a series, completed in eight episodes, and let me tell you it’s freaking cute!

Hello awesome nerds, happy Saturday everyone and welcome to my “quarantined” blog once again.

And I say quarantined because we’re back in full lockdown, and all I do every day is work, read, write and bake. Last spring’s quarantine was easier because the day was bigger, the summer was ahead of us and we were more careful in terms of diet. Now, however, the Christmas season is just around the corner and thanks to, or because of, Beacon Book Box I have plenty of new recipes that I’ve already tried.

So, today I’m going to share with you the Tres Leches Milk Cake recipe, which was featured in the October 2020 box.

Preheat Oven: 350F

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 cup unsalted butter1 cup white sugar5 large eggs1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups whole milk1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream1 cup white sugar1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9×13 inch baking pan.Sift flour and baking powder together, and set aside.Cream butter or margarine, and the 1 cup sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and the 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat well.Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture 2 tablespoons at a time; mix until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Pierce cake several times with a fork.Combine the whole mile, condensed milk, and evaporated milk together. Pour over the top of the cooled cake.Whip whipping cream, the remaining 1 cup of the sugar, and the remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla together until thick. Spread over the top of cake.

Be sure to keep your cake refrigerated.

This is a quite easy recipe, with very few ingredients, so I hope y’all try it out.

Let me know in the comment section down below which is your favourite kind of cake.

Thank you all so very much for coming back once again. It truly means the world to me and I want you to know that I most certainly don’t take your presence here for granted.

Stay safe everyone, stay positive and enjoy your weekend.

Till next time… Toodles!
