Now up on Goodreads
My author page is now up on goodreads. This blog is linked to it and to Amazon. I’m working hard on the final edits for Mad Toffad’s Keep. I’ve hired a cover designer and we’ll see how that goes. I’ll share the new cover as soon as I accept it. Progress is slow but sure. Fires in Mendocino are south of us but the brutal above 100 degree days have been very unusual for this time of year. We’ve had two significant power outages in past few days so that delayed some of my work in getting the first book up on marketing sites. I sure feel for those people in the direct path of the fires.

Author page now up on Amazon
Everything is moving quickly. Amazon warned that it might take up to 72 hours for my book to appear on the site but it was up within 24 hours. I now have a sales rank and even a first review. Thank you to those who read my book and a special thanks to those who leave a review. With all the books published each month on Amazon even finding the book to read it is a daunting task. Now I need to work on the final edits for Mad Toffad’s Keep book 2 of the Dire Prophecy series.
Dire Prophecy is published
My first book Dire prophecy is now published on Amazon. You can find it at https://amzn.to/2mQcoV7
Thanks to Wilma for my first review. Thanks so much for anyone who buys the book and especially for all who leave a review. It is an exciting time.

Cover ready for Dire Prophecy
Thanks to Bobooks at Fiverr for finishing the new cover for my first book “Dire Prophecy.” I have a few more editing challenges to wrap up and I’ll be putting the book up for sale on Amazon. Once that is done there is still a to do to get the marketing elements in place, linking Facebook page with my website, making sure the email for the site really works and all that jazz. I’ve put video games on hold until the book is up for sale. Hope I can get a bunch of early reviews to get me kick started. Then I’ve got to do it all over again for book 2. Whether I’ll then finish book 3 fo Dire Prophecy series or update the mystery novel I wrote a few years ago is unclear. Lots to do and very little of it is related to writing.

Welcome to Zack Finley’s blog
The act of writing is a solitary one. As a journalist, I always feared no one ever read what I wrote. Feedback is sporadic and seldom positive. For me, now that Dire Prophecy is written and edited the easy part is done. The hard part, marketing, has now begun. I have chosen to write under a pen name. This allows me a level of freedom that using my real name would not allow.
