Reveal! THE CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION (Chocolate #6)
Amour et Chocolat #6: THE CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION
She hated him.
Patrick Chevalier. The charming, laid-back, golden second-in-command of the Paris pastry kitchen where Sarah worked as intern, who made everything she failed at seem so easy, and who could have every woman he winked at falling for him without even trying. She hated him, but she’d risked too much for this dream to give up on it and walk out just so he wouldn’t break her heart.
But he didn’t hate her.
Sarah Lin. Patrick’s serious, dark-haired American intern, who looked at him as if she could see right through him and wasn’t so impressed with what she saw. As her boss, he knew he should leave her alone. The same way he knew better than to risk his heart and gamble on love.
But he was never good at not going after what – or who – he wanted.
He could make magic out of sugar. But could he mold hate into love?
COMING JANUARY 2014!

THE CHOCOLATE KISS nominated for RT Book of the Year
I’m tremendously honored by the RT Book of the Year nomination for THE CHOCOLATE KISS.
This is such a huge honor. I’m very, very touched and flattered.
In fact, I think I might need to lighten the moment, in which case, can I also share this photo from one of the last book clubs for which you all helped brainstorm? They did THE CHOCOLATE THIEF, and built an Eiffel Tower for the theme. This is what happened when all the book club left and the small girl in the house got hold of that Eiffel Tower.
Try-outs for the film! What do you think of the guy who wants to play Sylvain?
A huge, huge thank you to RT, and to all of you (readers, book clubs, reviewers) who have supported these books. I’m very touched and flattered that they could speak to people this way.

Upcoming Events
Some events coming up in Durham, for the North Carolina readers!
30 November 2013, Saturday, 4-6 pm, The Regulator Bookshop, Durham NC. I’ll be taking part in Indies First Day, trying to talk you into buying some of my favorite books for your Christmas gifts.
And, of course, happily signing any of my own books, which make, clearly wonderful Christmas gifts. Just package them with chocolate.
4 December 2013, Wednesday, 7 pm, The Regulator Bookshop, Durham NC. I’ll be sharing what it’s like to do research Behind-the-Scenes in a Michelin 3-star pastry kitchen in Paris. (One hint: Incredible!) I’ll also be signing my latest book, in which you can see how all that research gets transmuted into story: THE CHOCOLATE HEART. Package with chocolate for a perfect Christmas gift for the book lover on your list!
19 January 2014, Sunday (time TBA), Southwest Library, Durham NC. Talking again about “Behind the Scenes in a Michelin 3-star Pastry Kitchen in Paris” and signing my latest books, fruit of that research, THE CHOCOLATE HEART and (maybe) THE CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION. (Valentine’s is just around the corner! Know anyone who likes chocolate?)
We may be having some tastings thanks to Bonnie of Miel Bon Bons at a couple of these. I’ll keep you posted! I hope to see some of you there!

A Lovely Lunch with Theresa Romain
Anyway, since I love her books, once I heard she was going to be in town, I HIJACKED her from her own brother’s wedding preparations, but that’s okay, because I have four brothers myself, and sometimes, you just have to ignore them. Here we are! Am I a good self-photographer or what? Which do you think I caught better, us or the chocolate? Theresa brought me the most adorable chocolate witch, too, in honor of THE CHOCOLATE KISS, but I thought the two of us looked More Our Lovely Selves in this photo, so I’m just going to let Theresa look like the one who got all the chocolate. So there I am, chocolate-deprived again. But having a good time with a fantastic author!
