Big Wow Comic Fest in May!

I threw my back out last week shoveling snow so I couldn’t draw much. So instead of showing you guys my latest sketch or illustration, I’ve decided to talk about one of my favorites comic conventions in the world, Big Wow Comic Fest in San Jose. (May 18 – 19)

It’s one of the biggest shows in the west coast and the only convention where I give free drawing lesson/demo. My favorite big culo model, Ivy, will again be at hand to pose for us during the live model drawing class.

Also this year, Big Wow Comic Fest will hold one of the biggest cos-play gatherings in United States, complete with free costume fabrication and modeling workshops.

Tickets will go on sale this month so keep an eye out for it.

Now it’s time for some pain meds.

Women Book 2 Is Out

“It was the best of times and the worst of times….” Those opening words by Charles Dickens in the “Tales of Two Cities” definitely fit this month perfectly.

Two of my books are out in stores everywhere – Savage Wolverine #1 and Women Book 2 art book. That’s “the best of times” part. And “the worst of times” part is that threw out my back while shoveling snow. I’m nearly incapacitated and doped up on pain meds at this moment as I’m typing up this blog.

Savage Wolverine is the new series from Marvel which came out couple of weeks ago. Women Book 2 is a collection of my non-Marvel work, illustrations and personal work. You can get both books in stores.

Okay, I’m trying to think of something cool to say but between the dull back pain and the pain meds, I can barely sit upright. So I’m end with “Go buy my smut”.

Savage Wolverine #4 Coming out in April

Yup, the Savage Wolverine train is keep on rolling. Savage Wolverine #4 solicitation is now in the Diamond Preview for products shipping in April. You can order your copy at your local comic shops.

I’m not going to give too much away but things get weird and awesome fast in this issue. For one thing, Man-Thing makes his appearance in this issue and makes a special bond with Shanna the She-Devil. And Wolverine completely cuts loose in this chapter. Look for a huge nod to Willis O’Brien King Kong and Ray Harryhausen monster movies.

This issue #4 is by far my favorite issue that I’ve drawn. And I can’t wait for it to hit the stands in April.
