The Key of Eidolon: In the Garden

In the Garden
The five extreme metal musicians along with Little John Tamboli the ghoul and their former bandmate, the spectral Ketil Nagel, made their way to a vast garden near a lake. The sunset caused a vivid Hollywood-pink light to reflect from the lake. The nearly full moon began to rise, a remarkable paraselene in its halo. Creepy dwarven scarecrows made from old boards and rags seemed to turn their attention to the strange group.
“The less said in the presence of these sentries, the better,” Ketil suggested. “The moon is rising and so are they, which is not a good thing.”

The BlurbThe fate of the Cosmos rests in the hands of an unlikely team of unusual friends. Will an exiled member of an ancient extraterrestrial race, a human ghost, and two ghouls be able to outfox an ancient evil and beat Nyarlathotep at his game before time runs out? This buddy story is the first in a series of New Cthulhu Mythos cliffhangers.
The NotesLast time, Ketil recalled the day that he committed suicide.
The Snippet
Ketil set up a sharpened stave in the center of the pentagram. The stave was weighted at the bottom with a small block that was trussed to five spikes hammered into the stone at the star’s five points. The deranged supplicant then muttered an unearthly chant, bequeathing his blood to Mormo and her minions. He stepped up onto a platform and turned away from his ghoulish masterpiece in a wide stance; spreading his arms, he gave a final shout.
“ Mormo walachi beorth! Mi Mormo fhtagn! Inferna plaga vranech morpheo Mormo fhtagn! Iä! Iä, Nyarlathotep!”
