A nice quiet night at the DeMeys!
The first video reminds me of the Crocodile Dundee line, that's not a knife... THIS is a knife. I brought over some black cats and pop bottle rockets, DAN brought THIS to the party! YEAHHHHHHHHH!

Once upon a time... there was a very fast car, a long, long highway and a cop..
"What is a totally cool thing that has happened to you because you're an author?" A kid asked me at the gym yesterday (He was waiting for me on a bench as I walked out. Didn't even introduce himself, just jumped up and asked me this question. His mom, a woman I recognized from the gym soon came along and told him to stop bugging me, which he wasn't. After all, HE is the reason I write!)

BOOK HATERS UNITE!
I met a fifth grade boy in one of my last school visits in the spring who proudly and quite enthusiastically told me he "hated" to read. I asked him a few questions and figured him for the right target for one of my chapter books full of boy humor and other things of interest. I then dared him to hate my book Go Ask Mom. I told him flippantly that I would give him a copy if he promised to read it and send me a book report telling me just specifically why he hated reading my book. He smile...
