Eagle Ridge Editing

A close friend came to me a few weeks ago, and had taken the time to go through the Eagle Ridge manuscript with a fine tooth comb. I was shocked,(Even after having reviewed the text myself), how many typographical, omission and syntax errors still existed. I apologize to my readers, and now understand why so many have complained. There is now, hopefully, an error free version of the book available on Amazon. Make sure that it says 3rd Edition 2019 on the copyright page, as this is the newest version, and the one Amazon swears is what is being delivered now.
If you request the latest version, I've been told by Amazon that they will update your copy.
Sincerely,
Brooklyn

Raquette Lake is now Available

After much work and editing, (I'm learning) Raquette Lake is now published, and available from Amazon. The second in the Adirondack Tales Series, it follows Cynthia, Allison, Marty and Carly as they continue their lives. Like Eagle Ridge, Raquette Lake has lots of love, adventures and turmoil to keep you turning the pages. Feel free to write me or a review, good or bad, as I look forward to hearing from you.
Moving to my next project, An Elusive Sky will be delayed until early summer, but please enjoy the latest release.

Raquette Lake is complete.

Hello,
I have finished the last chapter of Raquette Lake, the sequel to Eagle Ridge and the next installment in the Adirondack Tales series. Now comes the task of getting copy to my beta readers and then into final edit. I am anticipating a tentative publish date somewhere around the end of May. I look forward to my reader's reactions as I unveil the next chapter in the lives of Cynthia, Marty, Allison and Carly. I hope you will enjoy this new book as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
Sincerely,
Brooklyn

Raquette Lake

Just a quick update. Working feverishly on Raquette Lake, the second book in the Adirondack Tales series, and the sequel to Eagle Ridge. I expect publication sometime in late March or early April if all goes well. The story of Marty, Carly, Cynthia and Allison continues to unfold with some interesting twists and turns along the way. Layout and plot development are in flux as they always seem to be, with the actual writing and examination of the storyline. Look in to see continued updates to this book.
Thanks!

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. Joann and I wish everyone the best, and thank you for reading. I'm sitting here at my computer, Zoey (my tabby) curled up on the corner of the sofa and I am reminded how lucky we all are. To those that are in need or in trouble, we wish you peace. May you find the strength to carry you through what can sometimes be a most difficult time of the year.

Eagle Ridge Sequel

I've decided that I'd like to continue the Adirondack Tales Series, after having modest success with Eagle Ridge. The new installment, which will be named Raquette Lake, will be a continuation of the story, revolving around Cynthia, Martina, Allison and Carly. Still working on the story board, but it looks like it's going to be Romance/Intrigue in nature. More on this as it develops.

Eagle Ridge (2nd Edition)

Hello everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that Eagle Ridge has had an update, and should be available for download very soon. (As soon as amazon reviews the changes) Corrections included, changes to certain confusing time shifts, spelling and grammatical errors, as well as a few other things I found. As soon as the 2nd edition is up, I am going to make it available for free for a few days.

Eagle Ridge-Editing

It has been brought to my attention there are some editing issues with Eagle Ridge, concerning basic grammatical errors as well as some time line concerns. Well, at the advice of some readers I have taken time out from my current project, and am revisiting this book and re-editing. As a self published author, I rely on my beta readers as well as myself, to proofread the book before publication. I alone am responsible if anything slips by however. The edit will not hold any major changes, but there have been some improvements and corrections. I am expecting to be finished with this undertaking within a few weeks, and will launch the new Edition with a promotion. Hopefully, some of those that were critical of my oversight will give the book another try at that time. Anyone who has already purchased the book, will of course be able to download the re-edited version free of charge.
Thank you,
Brook

An Elusive Sky

After a short break from writing, it's time to get back into the saddle. Thank you to everyone that has enjoyed Eagle Ridge, and to those have yet to do so.
An Elusive Sky is a novel set in an entirely different environment, and, to begin with at least, in another country.
Although still very much in its infancy, the story revolves around a professional cave cartographer, Austin Wilkes, and a rather demure biologist and professor, Lillian Mansion. As those who read my books know all too well, things tend to go off the rails, and An Elusive Sky is no different in that regard. Still a little early to reveal too much about the plot, but a blurb will be forthcoming on my website before too long.
And, on that note, it's back to work.

Just a reminder...

This book is quite different from Ivy Hall, which directed more towards a teen to young adult audience. Eagle Ridge is an adult book, with adult themes that may not be suitable for younger readers. I have marked the book in Amazon as 18+ for purchase for this reason. I know this is a departure from the YA theme that I had followed in my previous book, but I wanted to explore this genre. Please take this advisory to heart before reading Eagle Ridge, and as always, thank you for your readership.
