“We’re what? I mean, I can sense you...sense your emotions, your feelings. This is unbonded? How does the bond...I don’t know...finish?”
“You know. I know you know.” He eyed me.

Raw Lasagna Recipe from Bloodthirsty Bastard!!
Were you curious about the raw vegan lasagna Ethan made Caroline that first night after the mountain lion attacked? Well, it's real and it's real good :)
***RECIPE TIME***
Raw Beet Lasagna Recipe:
INGREDIENTS
pasta layer:
-2-3 red beets
-2-3 gold beets
cheese:
-2 cups cashews (soaked overnight)
-2 Tablespoons lemon juice
-2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
-1 t salt
-1-2 Tablespoons sage
pesto:
-1 cup basil
-2 cups spinach
-⅓ cup olive oil
-1 t sea salt
PROCESS
– Mandoline beets and set aside in a bowl.
– Drain cashews, blend cashews, lemon juice, nutritional yeast and salt into a food processor.
– Add chopped sage to the cashew mixture and blend
– Roughly chop basil and spinach and add to the food processor
– Add olive oil and salt and blend together
– Assemble starting with the red beets, cheese, golden beets, pesto and repeat layer after layer.

Ethan pursed his lips before speaking. “I was born into minor nobility in 1802 in what is now southern Belgium. My first language was French…”
“Any brothers or sisters?”
“I was the second living son, but living was hard back then, even for the wealthy. My mother died during childbirth when I was still in knee pants. My father and brother died during the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. If life were fair, it would be my brother here instead of me. He was smart, good, and kind, while I was devilishly impulsive and unpredictable.”
I placed my hand on his arm. “Ethan, you were so young. All kids are impulsive and unpredictable.”
He leaned on the railing and looked out into the forest. “I don’t usually speak of my human life.”
I gazed at his profile, wanting to touch him, to smooth that strand of dark hair out of his eyes.
“It’s good to know that you are human, after all…or I guess not human, but...” I trailed off.
He turned to me, his eyes bright, “I’m still alive, and I think for the most part—human. I have feelings and regrets just like you, I only have longer to live with the consequences.”

His first language is French, then Flemish (which is sort of a dialect of Dutch. (European friends - feel free to explain Dutch vs Flemish in the comments,,)
ALTHOUGH BELGIUM OFFICIALLY SPEAKS DUTCH, FRENCH, AND GERMAN - IN REALITY, THERE ARE TWO MAIN LANGUAGE GROUPS - FLEMISH OR FRENCH.
2.) Emilie from Crimson:
During WW1 or The Great War, many women worked on the front lines driving ambulances. This was the case for Emilie. While driving soldiers back to the field hospital, she was attacked and changed into a moroi (vampire).
