There are a lot of different ways to build an online community, and while the most obvious of these is BE PRESENT, which we have talked about before in other blog posts, being THERE to be found is not enough if you want to build lasting relationships with readers.
So.
Play to your strengths.
Find a way to flaunt your "social...

The Guy in the Bookstore

This one time I was in a bookstore (you're shocked, I know) and I met this guy.

"I tried that once," he said with reminiscenc...

His and Mine paperback update

Hello lovelies!
This will be a short post, but I just wanted to update everyone on the situation with the paperback of my upcoming book "His and Mine".
For those of you who didn't see it, you can watch the unboxing of the first proof here.  There were a few mistakes in the first proof (completely expected; that's what proofs are for, after all!) and I am currently going over the second proof, which will *crosses fingers* have no more issues, and will be the final...

Attract (and keep!) Readers: Pinterest

Pinterest has got to be the most underestimated outlet for marketing.  Of course we all have Pinterest accounts, and probably spend waaaaay too much time on them, but have you ever thought about it as a marketing tool?  Here are a few tips to help you get started:

1. Flaunt your personality
Unlike on Instagram (see last week's post on Instagram marketing here) Pinterest is a place you can let your hair down a bit.  Show off your hobbies and interests with interesting...

Attract (and keep!) Readers: Instagram

Instagram is an incredibly useful platform for writers!  But unfortunately, I have been seeing so many writers struggle to build their platform, so much so that I just want to reach out and give them a hug, and show them an easier way!  Instagram marketing does not need to be a blood sweat and tears process!
That's why I have put together this list of tips to hopefully help you grow a beautiful following of excited and supportive fans to help carry you through to your wr...

What I Read This Month: May

I am setting a new reading goal for myself, starting this month: one non-fiction book and two fiction books per month.  I think that's a pretty achievable goal...just not this month apparently, haha!

But without further ado, here is what I read in May 2018:

Heir of Fire
by Sarah J. Maas

Fiction: YA/Fantasy
Check it out on Amazon

Shadow and Bone
by Leigh Bardugo
