 Whatwas a gentle breeze outside gathered momentum and the leaves’ leisurely wavebecame branches’ frantic shake – the leaves tossed in all directions. The windwhooshed, roof timbers creaked as doors and roofing sheets banged. A spatter ofrain was blown through the rear window into the room as millions of tiny handstapped on the roof. The gloom thickened and enveloped the entire village.
