We are regularly sharing new photos on our Instagram and Facebook pages related to horses and Leaving The City, the first Sweetbriars book. They are too cute not to share, so we thought we would update the blog with a couple of our favourites ( : These photos were taken from a day at the stables with the author's baby and young Oldenburg mare.

Meet our cover star - Faye Heppelthwaite!

We were thrilled when we found the beautiful image of Faye in a meadow with the pony Gigman Boy George. The photo is just perfect for the first Sweetbriars book, Leaving The City and is often complimented on. Here we wanted to share more information about Faye, as she's an inspiration for all young riders, with her focus and dedication to produce show ponies. Faye has just turned thirteen and has had numerous successes showing, including at the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International Horse Show.

I was delighted that award winning book blogger Linda Hill featured Sweetbriars, Leaving The City in her blog, Linda's Book Bag! More 5 star reviews and now a best seller on Amazon!

Leaving The City, the new Sweetbriars book has been on sale a little over a month (the paperback even less). Since then I have been working hard to get more book reviews. 
The recent reviews, two of which were from other authors, were just amazing! 
First was the wonderful review I received from children's author Deanie Humphrys-Dunne which you can find here. In return I read Deanie's 'Life at Sweetbrier' book... what a special, touching and inspirational story (my 'Life at Sweetbrier' book review is here). In writing Sweetbriars, I am writing about my dream childhood and Deanie lived this... well apart from her physical challenges which she overcame with courage and determination.
Then I asked Susan Marie Molloy if she would like to review Leaving The City after finding her blog. She agreed and not long after, she sent me the most lovely, complimentary review here. 
Then to cap off this blog post, I found out that Leaving The City is an Amazon best seller in equestrian books! It's been in the top ten equestrian ebooks on Amazon within the first few weeks of release... and best of all, people are reading Leaving The City!

Celebrate a palomino!

Since our main character from Leaving The City Cate, has a gorgeous palomino pony called Odette, we thought it was fitting to celebrate the golden horse by creating a gallery!
