So, when the hairstylist that works next to his bookstore invites him to his hometown for the weekend, Sam jumps at the chance. Visiting the small town of Occident could be just what he needs to forget, at least for a few days.
Erik Thorne has lived his whole life in the same town where nothing new ever happens, and any stranger who comes to town is always a big deal. When his old friend Andy brings a friend home for the weekend, Erik is drawn to the man in a way that confuses him at first. But his curiosity about the gorgeous blond from the city gets the better of him, and he can’t resist spending more time with him.
Sam was hoping to forget his troubles when he meets Erik. While Erik can’t seem to think of anything besides the city boy with the bookstore he can’t wait to visit. Distance might not be the only thing that stands between them, as they find out admitting what you want isn’t always easy. Tommy Carter was just minding his own business, taking out the trash from his job at a local bar and grill, when he noticed the man hiding behind the dumpster. He couldn’t get a good look at the guy, and the less he can find out about him, the more curious he becomes. He’d lived through difficult circumstances in his past, and decides if he can help, he will. Tommy doesn’t have a lot, but he has a heart of gold that won’t let him walk away from someone he knows needs a hand up.
Zane Martin was left wandering the streets of Sacramento in a haze after tragedy struck. He’s afraid to trust anyone and suffering from a lack of food and adequate clothing to keep him alive and well against the weather about to hit the area. He’s not sure he can trust Tommy, but he wants to. There has to be one good person out there, and maybe he’s just found him.
A story of helping when you can, and accepting help when it’s offered.

This book is a little short that takes place a few years after the events in my upcoming release Try To Forget. Some of you may recognize this as the book I was posting weekly updates to in my NewsLetter. It’s finally going to be released on January 11. Try to Remember features Sam and Erik attending a Christmas party in the small town of Occident where they both now live. I grew up in a small town, and it’s so fun for me to write books that take place in them. In a very real way it reminds me of home. Please enjoy my little taste of a small town Christmas.

It’s Christmas, and time for Andy and Link’s yearly party. Erik and Sam are going for the first time since Sam moved to town with him. He imagines a nice evening spent with new friends, but it soon turns out a little different.
Erik and all his friends look forward to the annual Christmas party at Andy and Link’s house. Well, mostly they look forward to what they call The Stealing Game. It’ll be a night of fun and games, and maybe a few pranks, but it’ll also be filled with love and good friends. #holiday romance, #christmas short, #holiday fun
