Happy (very belated) Thanksgiving
Oof, I meant to post this last week and things got in the way. But please enjoy this new freebie I’ve written in the Marco & Javed series.
Marco decides to pay Javed a visit on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, he gets followed by an annoying family member. Or maybe it’s a good thing, since he and Javed turn it into a fun evening. (5.4k)

Happy Halloween!
Please enjoy a new freebie short, Halloween Dinner Date.
Javed had expected to spend Halloween alone with an unsatisfying snack. By luck, he comes across not only a full meal, but a date as well. Who says vampires and werewolves can’t get along?

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted here. In terms of general updates: I’ve completed the first draft of the next Alex and Trach...

In Life, In Death: Free this weekend!
August 27, 2018
A Coward, A Warrior available now!
Yay! It’s finally released. Buy it on Amazon.
You can also find an excerpt and detailed content notes on my website.
If you’ve read and enjoyed, please consider leaving a review on Amazon or GoodReads; it really helps me out.
Although this is a standalone novel, it does feature characters from In Life, In Death, and continues the story of Xochititlan (the eponymous City by the Flowers). The world might be a bit easier to understand if you’ve read the first novella.
Regardless, I hope you en...

Romance or not Romance?
One of the discussions that comes up a lot is whether or not a romance requires a HEA. And from a genre standpoint… well, it absolutely does. Readers think romance will include an HEA, or at least a HFN, so deciding to kill your main character tragically won’t go over too well.
I’m very not surprised that In Life, In Death has sales that aren’t super great, considering I slapped the “NO HEA” warning on there. And, quite honestly, as I was writing it, I did consider putting it in a category th...

Print Edition of Under His Heel!
I’ve made a print edition of Under His Heel available! Buy it here on Amazon. There was a lot of frustration and hair-pulling involved, but I’m so happy to be able to offer this. I have some hard copies sitting on my desk now and I’m pleased with how they turned out. It’s 343 pages long! The print edition of In Life, In Death will be coming shortly, I just hit a few snags on that one.
In terms of updates, I expect to release A Coward, A Warrior sometime in August. I’m doing final edits now....

Under His Heel: A Kidnapping now available!
Wow, the month went by so fast! “Under His Heel: A Kidnapping” is now available on Amazon! If you’ve already purchased, thank you so much!
For detailed content notes and a preview of the first chapter, please see my website.
I hope you all enjoy this. It’s set about a year after the end of “Under His Heel,” and gives some insights to Tracht’s thoughts. And I guess Alex might have a bit of a bad time in it…
I also have a lot more shorts (and possibly something a bit longer?) planned for the tw...

Under His Heel: A Kidnapping available for pre-order!
The next “adventure” for Alex and Tracht is available for pre-order now!
The release date is June 29, 2018.
I wrote this story shortly after I had completed the first draft of Under His Heel. Somebody had expressed interest in Tracht coming to Alex’s rescue, and the idea stuck with me. And then the idea expanded into a 20k-ish short story.
…Yeah, this is definitely me:
The hardest part of this authoring thing is probably juggling all the different projects. Who wants to edit when they can st...

Writing Updates
I’m very sorry about the relative silence on my end. There’s been a lot going on in my life right now, and I’m using my extra energy to focus on writing/getting things done and not having much left for anything else.
So, how are things going for writing?
Under His Heel: A Kidnapping
My beta got back to me on this and it looks like there are a few more edits to be done than I expected. I’m also working on getting a cover done, which I hope to complete sometime this weekend. We’ll see! My goal...
