Chapter One:

Sage Harris, stood with three hundred females in the backyard of their Alpha’s property, waiting for him to acknowledge that they were there. Anger pulsed into the air, smothering all other emotions, except for the crushing pain emanating from the female standing beside her.

As she looked around the yard, she knew life was about to change for herself and all these half-bloods. Females born of the union between a human mother and a shifter father. As well as the Alphas who they awaited. Robard and Pearl Harris, Alphas of the Western Mountain Pack ruled the world, at the will of the Shifter Goddess.age Harris, stood with three hundred females in the backyard of their Alpha’s property, waiting for him to acknowledge that they were there. Anger pulsed into the air, smothering all other emotions, except for the crushing pain emanating from the female standing beside her.

Like all these females Sage too had come to her uncle Robard’s territories for protection, living under her uncles rule, had been most of these females only recourse. Safety for themselves and their children drove them to live within the territories of the pack. This was not because the pack offered a prosperous way of life… far from it.

Unfortunately, the world viewed the half-bloods with suspicion and distrust. Unable to identify as full-shifter or full-human was a constant burden for the females. Sadly the half-bloods were discriminated against and sadly not just by humans. Not everyone liked the results that came from the unions of humans and shifters. Although there were benefits to being the offspring of the association.

As with all half-bloods, Sage appreciated, the gift from her father that flowed through her veins, and the many benefits through that blood that they all received. Especially the rate of aging which was slow. As with full-bloods, the females all looked younger than their actual age. Like her, there was not a female here who was not grateful for that or the healing abilities they were endowed with.

Unfortunately, that was only one of a few good and positive things about being a half-shifter. Sadly there were so many things that were not good, which in the wider world had very dangerous consequences for half-bloods. Resulting often in abuse and sometimes even death. Merry Christmas Fantasy Lovers

Merry Christmas from Dragon’s Gap

My gift is a sweet Christmas story inside a Christmas story told at Dragon’s Gap.

Join all your friends again and be part of the fun as they find the Christmas spirit. Come read about the first Christmas at Dragon’s Gap where there are candy canes too delicious to ignore; why Lions doing Christmas tree ordering is a no no, and why dragon magic and fireworks do not mix well.

Plus many other fun filled adventures along the way.

A Christmas Surprise

CHAPTER ONE

Edith walked into Sage’s office leaned her hands on the desk and her body towards a startled wary Sage who sat back in her chair. “What! I have not done anything lately.”

Edith sniffed dramatically before saying. “It is November the twenty-eighth.”

“Ahh! Okay sooo…”

Edith backed up and sat in the visitors chair as she drawled. ‘Tweenteee – eighthh!”

A crease appeared between Sage’s eyes. ‘I don’t get what you are implying. Is it someones birthday? Oh dear Goddess, is it yours?”

“No…and how do you not know when my birthday is?”

“Well do you know mine?”

‘Yes, of course.”

Sage looked blankly at her for a moment then hurriedly asked. ‘Oh! So the twenty- eighth, what is so important about that date?’

Edith smirked at the obvious attempt to side-track her. “Don’t think I won’t remember Lady Sage, now there is of itself nothing remarkable about the twenty-eighth of November.”

“So why are you here yelling at me?”

‘Sage!”

“What already?”

“Think…Christmas.”

“Well not until December the twenty-fifth, you should know that. Miss I know dates of all things.”

At Edith’s raised eyebrows, Sage’s forehead creased more, then as the realization came to her it cleared and her eyes widened. “Oh dear, Dragon’s Gap does not celebrate Christmas.”

“Until now no.”

“What do you mean? Until now?”

Edith sighed and asked. “Seriously! You are not normally this scatter brained!”

“I know, Ella said it is baby brain.”

‘Oh, I call bull. I am pregnant and don’t have it.”

“Are you as far along as me? And carrying twins. No, I don’t think so.”

It was Edith’s turn to stare blankly at her as she wrestled her mind around that. “Shoot… well, okay moving on, we need to decide what is happening for Christmas. Sage…” Edith’s voice softened. “We all need this. Home has not been the happiest of places for the last few months. Christmas will show we are on our way to making a community, a family for us all. Some of us need that more than others and truthfully it would be nice to have something fun and happy to look forward too.”

“Wow! You are right, there are some young ones, mine included that has never celebrated Christmas. And there are some like Paige, Kadee and Joy who will be without their birth families for the first time through Christmas.” Sage stood up. “Christmas at Dragon’s Gap is officially on!’

Edith grinned. “Good, so now we just have to work out how to accomplish this and get everyone on board the Christmas train. Which could be difficult for the dragons.”

Sage smiled and it was Edith who was the one to look wary now. “What have you thought of?”

“I will talk to Reighn about Christmas.”

“You know he will say that dragons don’t celebrate Christmas.”

“And I am saying they do now.” READ MORE HERE:

Book One: Reighn and Sages the real story

Reighn and Sages the real story

In writing this story I discovered my passion for justice and families. I liked writing about Sage who had so many parts to her nature and personality. Half witch, half wolf.

Book 1

A daughter and a niece.

A warrior and a pacifist.

A mother and a wife.

And as she told me her story… yes my characters talk to me! Even to the point they will keep me awake at night.

I found she was in the long run a woman who could and would adapt to any given situation and wanted above all other things, to find love, acceptance and mostly she wanted to love.

Now no-one could say the same about Reighn. He and his dragon, although dual nature, is quite simple. He too wanted to be loved and to love.

To have a family and care for his nation. And he needed to fight injustice, any injustice. Because when he did he protected his bonded, his young and family and the people who made up his world.

As I said… Simple! A male that I like as well as understand. Read More:
