The Literary Ladies' Guide to the Writing Life
Dear Readers,
I hope all of you are enjoying the autumn weather. I live in Florida and was fortunate to evade Hurricane Matthew. I hope all of you are safe.
I enjoy reading articles on the Literary Ladies' Guide to the Writing Life. Today they re-posted an article I wrote called "Bronte on the Brain: A Bicentennial and an Unsung Hero."

FIU Creative Writing Alums Rock the House
Wow, yesterday was a great day. I had the honor of reading at Books & Books in Coral Gables along with eight very talented authors.
I believe the Livestream is still up, so sit back and have some fun. Enjoy the poetry and fiction. I make an appearance around the 40 min and 50 sec mark.
What a great crowed we had yesterday. Thanks to all who attended. Thanks for celebrating FIU authors and Bronte 200 with me!

Jane & Bertha & Florida
I am looking forward to reading poetry from The Jane and Bertha in Me this upcoming Sunday at Books&Books in Coral Gables, Florida. I hope some of you will swing by if you are in the area.
Nine amazing local writers, all graduates of Florida International University's MFA Creative Writing program will also be reading from their fiction, poetry, and nonfiction.

Poetry at the Dali on Thursday!
Friends,
Thrilled to be reading at the Dali Museum this Thursday with two very talented poets: Helen Pruitt Wallace and Erica Dawson.
Poetry at The Dali is an ongoing series hosted by St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Helen Wallace. Occurring on the second Thursday of each month through May 2017, each evening will feature Wallace joined by selected poets to present poems addressing the theme of Food and Sustenance.
Following the presentation, there will be an audience Q&A. - See more at: http://thedali.org/event/poetry-at-th...

I am sooooo excited because Campbell talks about my book, The Jane and Bertha in Me, during Part 2 of her July wrap-up podcast!
She reviews a bunch of additional books in this podcast, including the latest Harry Potter Book.
Campbell did a May read-along for Jane Eyre, which she also mentions in the podcast.
