BOOK NOOK REVIEW
SECRET SISTERSby Tristi Pinkston Fill your thermos with hot cocoa, stuff some chocolate chip cookies into a Baggie and grab a copy of The Bishop's Handbook of Instructions. You'll want easy access to all three as you begin your raucous romp with the dysfunctional Relief Society presidency in Valor Publishing's new release, Secret Sisters, by five-time author Tristi Pinkston.
Pinkston's heroine, Ida Mae Babbitt, a well-intentioned bulldozer of a Relief Society president, is a "git-er-done"...

BOOK NOOK REVIEW
We just launched "AWAKENING AVERY" on Saturday, and as I walked through the book store I saw so many great titles that were written by friends. There's quite a smorgasbord of great new books debuting and plenty of recent releases with enough variety to satisfy every personal preference. Today we're going to look at: MORMON MISHAPS AND MISCHIEF
By D. N. Giles and C. L. Beck One of my family's favorite videos is a rudimentary flim made with Primary Children and titled, "Out of the Mouth's of...

IN THE THICK OF THIN THINGS?
There are always more things to be done than there is time to do them, and so proper prioritizing may be the single most important skill of life. I know that, but I often need a reminder.
I have a book launch this weekend so I'm eyeball deep in Key Lime Jelly Bellies, bookmarks, favor tags and promo stuff.
I was driving yesterday and I had a CD in the player from last October's LDS Church Conference. I heard President Monson's comment about how too many of us are "in the thick of thin things." ...

AUTHOR INTERVIEW: DONNA HATCH
Regency Romances are romance novels set in the early nineteenth century with themes and hurdles that remind the reader of Jane Austin's work. RR author, Donna Hatch, and I cyber-met through ANWA, an LDS women's writing group we each belong to. This busy lady is launching two new books within a few months of one another. "The Guise of a Gentleman" falls into the Regency Romance genre, but "Queen in Exile," her most recent release, is actually a fantasy.
Q: Aside from being crazy busy, tell us s...

"ILLUMINATIONS OF THE HEART"
by Joyce DiPastena
Not a big romance fan? Don't let the flowery teaser on the back cover of "Illuminations of the Heart," fool you. This book is one meaty, intelligent, well-researched and exciting read for lovers of historical fiction. The romance? It's smartly written and delicious.
"Clothilde."

Forgive me. I've been terrible about staying in touch. How are you doing? I hope life is sweet and peaceful, and that things are normalizing wherever you are.
As for me, well . . . I've upset the fruit basket, as they say. I moved from Maryland to Utah, someone hijacked my blog, I ruptured my Achilles, had surgery, and all while we shared this little seventeen-month adventure called a Pandemic.
I'd love to catch you up on all my book news. Here's a link to my latest blog post: https://www.laurielclewis.com/post/bl...
