Beautiful Madness

Beautiful madness
Soulful gladness
There is beauty in your fire
Will and power grows dire
The insanity of your pain
Raining down like rain
Giving me delicious afterlife
Some in it strife
I find solace in the ache
Smiling...  strolling to the lake
For goodness sake
Yours, do me make.
A tiny glitch in nature
Anodyne to torture
You stand out of the dark
Poised glorious like a stark
The crimson tint, unique
None can claim to critique
Spread your wings... Fly
Flutter away up the sky
The freedom in your will
To behold, many would kill
 lady in nature
Anodyne to torture.

When we had hope

Why  did  we stop dreaming?
Once, we had hope.
We smiled like there was no tomorrow.
We raved in echoes of laughter,
cackling with a fiery joy.
Lying Under shades of trees,
hooded from the inglorious sun,
yet peaking through cracks to glimpse at the sun beam.
Somewhere in the future, or dare I say in the present?
We have become grim,
zombie-ing around with lost hope,
bagged under eyes and thinking only of empty pockets and how to please everyone but ourselves.
A loud sadness has taken over
Joy is misplaced.
Wandering like a lost soul in the meadows seeking a way out.
Something along the way has happened to the once colorful souls,
joyous hearts and adventurous minds.
All that is left,
is an emptiness,
a hollow, deep dark void.
And all we do is ask ourselves ' why?
What have we been fighting for?
For what purpose have we lived?'

Cobra Queen

In glory, she arises
Slow and steady
Stealth and ready
Golden head emerges
Crowned with cowries
Ornamented with assorted rubies
Golden hide shimmering with the sun
Uncoiling from beneath the hollow
Rising to her throne room
As elders supplicate with kegs of wine and nuts
Railing flutes to proclaim her
They anoint her bosom with camwood
As she claims her throne
Asserting her duties
Nodding conspicuously
For she has come
To disenthrall her kingdom
From the evil that plagues it
Her tongue extends
As choirs escape the halls.
Flutes salute
Guns fire
Squirts of venom poised to blind the enemy. She is the Cobra queen
Protectress of our kingdom.

The Messiah Effect

Humans are always seeking for someone to worship.
Someone to follow
A Messiah figure at the peak. Guiding and instructing them.
It can be political and even religious in nature
Humans have a deep yearning to be led.
I call it the "Messiah Effect. "
Humans don't know or accept it but they love being mastered
It's intrinsically buried in their psyche
Without a leader or master to lead them, they won't  have humanity.
The human need to be mastered is unending...it goes on and on and on forever. Humans are simply too dependable. On their own,  they will fall. That's why we have flourishing religions and politics.

The sane VS. The insane

A person we term as mad or insane in my opinion is someone whose consciousness overflows, bares and says all that the so-called sane can't.
Who is really insane? The person who speaks all thought processes as they flow consciously or unconsciously without any fear and worry or the person who controls what he or she says for fear of judgement?   Who is free between the two? One who walks with few or no clothing, with no shame, who sleeps wherever he wants and eats whatever he wants, walks miles without getting tired and still always feel joyous and comfortable.   He/ she never complains about the same activities which others say are insane.          The so-called sane hide their bodies in shame, they can't sleep in open space because of fear of judgement and of being called poor and homeless. The so-called sane complain of too much cold and hard surfaces, they choose what to eat and has preference over many things in life. They get angry and find themselves in brawls and fights and other daily feuds. Constantly yammering about the discontents in their earnings or spouses, kids and family. They Complain about water, roads, this and that.
In my opinion, that's the madman. The so-called sane person, unfortunately, is the insane one.  In using an allegory of an ailing body, The failure of a bodily system is the same with the failure of a governmental system. The disease eats away the host as the machine no longer works in line with how it should. The distinctive components start operating in the opposing direction, out of line with the others as it should. Then comes the rot, degradation and consequently, death.  We are all unique in our minds in varied ways. I find pleasure In nature as you find it in alcohol. How then shall I call the other an addict while I myself I am a nature junkie?  The rot that permeates us, humans, is that of pointing fingers and finding fault in everything but ourselves.Written by Yefon Isabelle

The herb with little honor (An addiction tragedy)

What desolation drove him to escape the maze laced in his mind?
An adventurous soul awakening a deadly desire?
Or the herb with no will of its own that sent him to lunacy?
Was it hopelessness and emptiness of the concept of being in itself?
That a mind, so desperately enshrouded with worry and misery
A heart so desolate for love that wasn’t there to be received after all.
His secrets, he took to his grave,
Hanging from a yellow noose in grandma’s basement.
SNAP! A broken mind and neck beyond repair.

What could be said to give him hope?
What was to be done that wasn’t done already?
He was either too calm or too violent.
Too cool or too hot. His temper over steaming like a titanic boiler.
Nonetheless shackled to icy concreted floor,
For if let unfastened, some poor fellow would suffer the consequence
of his violent hand.

Who was to blame? Allies that dug the brick walls and smuggled the herb?
The herb in itself that authored his demise? Or his broken will?
Was it friend or foe? Love or hate or mere evil?
To feed a mind so destroyed with the very poison that had him anchored to his wants?
His demons, too strong for him to tackle,
he finally gave in to their fetters.
They won. They finally won.
Absorbing his essence into the realm of no return.
The place for everyone but just one at a time.
Hopefully, his demons didn’t follow him to the yonder lands
wherein, he might find rest and eternal sleep.
fast flowing forever farewell, friend.
for the earth is but temporary.

Berry picking at Pah Genie's farm

Myra and I, in white and blue
Sauntering in line with a Cypress hue
Ankle strapped sandals damp with dew
Three is a crowd we wanted no queue
Straight to pah Genies farm anew.

Shrubs and Vines littered near
startled and ruffled, our hems tear
We spot a dog, a breed so rare
Ascending and trembling in fear
If we got caught we'd shed a tear
from above, I spot his Belvedere.

Pah Genie rocks his cheer and puffs a pipe
He barely had a clue or got the hype
Gulps white wine, and scratches his hair
Least aware of the ill plot of the mischievous pair.
Berries of blue, red and pink dotted on the tree

Stains my fingers as I set them free
Myra underneath catches with glee
Who on earth will we see?
Who goes there upon my tree?
Myra goes down on one knee

Pah Genie yells his eyes red with furry.
"Down from that tree and hurry"
He yells as I scramble aground
By the collar, he leads us to his compound.
Cane in hand he slashed pain across my thigh
I close my eyes breathe and sigh
What ill luck we encountered nigh

Lessons to be learned that's alright never to Pah Genies Farm we rush Back home, flesh turned to mush
Ill omen did we find today
Never will I forget that day.

Firebird

The lake of fire steamed as streaks of flame crackled from within, bubbling with a sound that burst the joy that resided inside.
From atop the mountains, an endless sea of magma is evident.
Glittering in the velvety night like an amplified gem, this beautiful madness reflects into the skyline with an exquisite magnificence.

Running and meandering amidst the narrow valley path, it's way is forged. Beautifying the scenery with a dangerous charm
At a mere glance of the desolate sight, thoughts of suffering are meaningless.

How could anything survive where such destruction had wrought? Where such an anti matter dwells?

Fall into this Beauty, Your thoughts are annihilated.

Your consciousness won't bear room for sense  of pain or pleasure.

I hadn't finished my sophism that a gaping hole emerged from the heart of the lava, Just as I was thinking nothing could come of this, nothing could survive this Armageddon,

Head first, crowned with best of fur, you emerged from the chasm. Then its was your beautiful wings, burning with a fiery madness.

Then came the tail, long and gracious and glorious. As you soared straight up to the heavens, spiraling in your beauty, I knew then;

firebird, forged by the hottest of rocks. Born of the undying inferno , nurtured by it.
As your life ends, it only begins. You are immortal, you never die.
And endless cycle of death and rebirth, reformed at each rising.

A duel with death

I wrestled with death once,
yonder the showery springs of old.
feet connected to the bare black earth,
heat emanating from my mortal flesh.
cold air rushing to my begging nostrils.
The four elements conniving against me.
My stench is of death as the somber ground pulls me to its darkest core.
The water from the springs washes my essence
slowly reaping and flushing it into the limitless drain.
The gushing air fills my lungs,
Choking, my fragile tubes come close to collapsing.
My chest as heavy as if a metal breasted plate rested upon it.
The bodily heat burning my flesh,
Scorching my material with torments beyond measure.
My head spinning and my eyes turning inside out.
I feel my strength dwindling like a dying star losing its light.
Spirit essence departs like water evaporating from a stone.
I gaze into the distant realms and into beings unseen.
I meander within the great darkened tunnelled structure continually suctioned by the strength from the hollow.
I wrestled then.
I hold onto a rusted pipe hooked to the hellish walls.
It snaps and crumbles like a wet brick.
I claw the walls still,  cascading down and gripping a vine.
A solid vine and held on clawing till I reached the top.
I open my eyes in the new environment and death had left its mark.

" Live to fight another day. I will come for you someday." He forwarned.

"And I will be ready then with open arms I will willingly follow coming into the choking embrace of your horrifying presence to take me to were my soul rest for eternity when I am weary of the world's strife.
As of now, I have the earth to explore, the splendor of life to experience, beauty to behold and a few decades of looming. then with death, I shall wrestle no longer."
And light of life returned to my once dying bones.

The void you left

Why do you keep smiling each time I close my eyes &Pictures of you flash across my mind?My eyelids doze in slumber but your face haunts my very lucid life.Curly soft hair flowing in serenity with the wind. Those blue glassy eyes piercing through the dark and into my own soul. Those dimpled cheeks and that perfectly crooked smile.Do you mock me?Why smile when all I feel is a heavy, lovely deep feeling weighing on my sad soul?Don’t you know you are an illusion I can’t grasp in real life?Smile at me no longerFrown so that I won’t fall for you so intensely so.Don’t look so angelic so I won’t love you.Adopt a devilish grin, I plead of thee. Though it only makes you insanely sexy.Would you stop haunting my dreams?I want to forget about you.I want to believe love doesn’t exist.I want to wither, shrivel and die all by myself.Because I see you from afar and I want you.Yet I know for real you are nothing a stranger. A passerby and I, just a girl staring from the woods, wishing you could just look my way.
Hoping you could just notice me, noticing you.
