Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
Kenna has just been released from prison after five years. Five years of not being a part of her daughter’s life, not knowing what she’s like. Determined to make amends, she heads back to the town where it all started, unsure if she is even worthy of being forgiven for what happened all those years ago before her little girl was born.
10% into the book I was nearly going to DNF it. Having read and loved several of CoHo’s other works, I didn’t have the heart to give up just yet.

Odd is only a boy of twelve when he runs away from home to live on his own. His father passed away, his mother remarried, and his step-father doesn’t particularly like him. Trying to fend for himself, one day, Odd is visited by a fox who has a mission for him.
A short read, this book is adventurous and lighthearted. With a simple enough plot and a straightforward writing style, Neil Gaiman’s story is one that both middle-graders and adults would like.

Except, in the days that pass, Lux finds herself questioning the decision to come, wondering if anything she has known about her life has ever been true.

This book had such potential with the backdrop and premise, but the characters ruin it all. I’ve read ample books with bit...

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

Heralded as THE book to read when starting your personal finance journey, The Psychology of Money is a nonfiction book on the right mindsets to adopt to make your money work for you.
To say that I finally read this book is no small joy. I’d been procrastinating about doing so for far too long, and with good reason! I had an inkling that most of its content would be intimidating. Having read The Psychology of Money, I can say that I wasn’t wrong.
Divided into...
