“This is the coolest book I've ever read about dreams!” according to one enthusiastic early reviewer.

"What’s different about this dream dictionary is its hands-on approach to using dreams for personal growth, with step-by-step techniques and practical tips for delving into symbol meanings. Dreams Can Point the Way

“Dreams can point the way out of old patterns and into new opportunity,” as quoted from the book, The Curious Dreamer's Practical Guide to Dream Interpretation.

tcdpic-quotebook-problems.png

Here’s an excerpt from “Chapter 1-1: Dream Essentials” in The Curious Dreamer’s Practical Guide to Dream Interpretation:

Finding the Value in Dreams

I propose an ultimate goal of dream interpretation as “finding the value in each dream,” rather than analyzing just for the sake of analysis. Finding value in a dream means gleaning some useful meaning from each dream that can help you improve your life or your state of being. For example, dreams can point the way out of old patterns and into new opportunity. They can reveal solutions to problems in your personal relationships. Dreams can also suggest changes in your way of thinking that make life a much more pleasant experience. Virtually every dream offers some value, even if it’s simply the realization that you really don’t like spiders or that you currently are craving ice cream.

Calling A Dream Back to You

tcdpic-quotebook-callback.png

Excerpt from "Chapter 1-5: Improving Dream Recall" in The Curious Dreamer's Practical Guide to Dream Interpretation:

"'Recall' literally means to 'call back,' which is very appropriate when we think about dream recall. Recalling a dream involves 'calling the dream back to you'—pulling it out of your subconscious mind where it originated, into your conscious mind so that you can access it when you are awake. There are many ways to prompt, trigger, and coax dream memories out of the subconscious mind into the conscious mind. I’ve included some of my favorites here, and you might even come up with your own techniques by experimenting with what works best for you...."

The Power of Intention

"When you say 'I intend to' you place yourself in an active role, create a connection between yourself and that action, add the intended action to your mental to-do list." From my book, The Curious Dreamer's Guide to Dream Interpretation.

tcdpic-quotebook-intendact.png

Chapter 4-7 "Setting Intentions" explains the power of intention, and how to use intentions as a tool for creating more of what you want in your life. Here's an excerpt:

"An intention is a kind of commitment you make within yourself to act or think in a certain way. It is a determination toward a certain action or result. Setting an intention helps you commit to and follow through on something you want to do, change, or create in your life or your consciousness. When you state that you intend to take a particular action, that action automatically gets added to your mental to-do list, and a portion of your mental energy becomes dedicated to making sure you follow through on it.

"Within your consciousness, an intention dedicates more mental power for follow-through than a want, hope, or possibility...."
