The Brilliant Minds at PG&E

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) came up with a brilliant idea: rather than causing or contributing to damaging fires when the weather turns dry and windy, they will shut off power to over 800,000 of its customers.

Q: How smart was this? Did they give sufficient notice?

A: Not very, and very little.
