More coming up

I just signed the contract for another short story of mine to be published in an anthology. For now, I'll just say that it's a fantasy story in English about what happens when an indomitable mind faces an irresistible curse.

I have long had a blog elsewhere. I am not linking it as my blog here because it is not exactly an author's blog. Instead, I write about just about anything there, as long as it's something I can analyse or sensibly say something about. So I'm officially an author now

I've been an aspiring writer since forever. I'd like to write both fiction and nonfiction - and also, you know, be read and published too. I've been taking slow steps in that direction, and just now, the first book containing a short story of mine was published. It's the anthology for the Nova 2015 nationwide Finnish speculative fiction short story contest, in which I came fourth with a horror story whose title translates as "The Devil's Cellar". That was really nice, first winning and then being published. What I hadn't realised was that this would also get me listed as an author on Goodreads. I'm certainly going to take that opportunity. And a blog here? Why not. I'm not sure what I'll put here, but I can certainly write a blog. I have an existing, mostly English blog at https://thoughtsonx.wordpress.com/

My main interests as a writer are speculative fiction, especially fantasy, and philosophy, especially where it intersects with science. I write more often in English than in Finnish. The next thing coming out from me should be a short story in another, English-language anthology, although the schedule is unclear at the moment.
