JANUARY 2020 Writing Update: INSOMNIA publish-ready + writing ALAIN SOMNUS + dancing demons
I always thought that January was supposed to be this long, boring month that never wanted to end.
Well. Guess I’m wrong there.
This month flew right by for me, but perhaps that’s merely because I’ve just been incredibly busy! And on that note, let’s dive into this update and look back at all I’ve been working on — oh, and dreaming about. Spoiler alert: I had a batshit-crazy dream this month. Stay tuned

INSOMNIA (Insomnia Saga #1): Cover Update for International Release!
Hey Sleepwalkers!
This is just a short update, but one I’m actually really excited about — INSOMNIA, the first installment of the Insomnia Saga, has had a cover update!
The former (Dutch) version was rather subdued, mostly in grays, blacks, and sepia, with a touch of red; I always loved it, but since INSOMNIA is going to have a new, international release and seeing that even the story has been rewritten (and, well, “updated”), my designer and I talked it over and agreed that the cover could...

It’s 2020: A battle of Light and Night
Here we are, the first of January; the very first day of 2020.
Let’s take a deep breath. Because, I mean, this actually is a pretty special day, right? Yeah, okay, every new day can mean a brand new start; every single day you can decide to do something you’ve never done before or always wanted to do. You don’t need an actual “new year” to do that.
And yet, I can’t help but feel excited about the fact that it is now officially 2020, because I have...

Looking Back at 2019
We did it.
We have reached the last days of December — and so, the last days of 2019. Can you believe it? This year just seemed to fly right by, and yet, I have done A LOT these past twelve months.
At the end of each year, I always like to look back at all the highlights and reflect on that.
Let’s journey back through 2019 together:
• January: Writing Books and Snowy WalksAt the beginning of this year I was still working on my last Dutch novel, which was Schimmenstof (translation: Phantom...

DECEMBER 2019 Writing Update: releasing JODI COLLINS, finishing NOCTURNE, and merry Christmas
Dear Sleepwalkers,
It is time to say goodbye to December, and what a month it has been.
I don’t know about you guys, but every year, instead of slowing down, I tend to channel some extra “fuel” to power through the last month — just to get all those last things done, just to do something extra, all so I can take a deep breath at the end and look back at the year feeling like I really accomplished something.
Well, this year has been the same… but am I happy will all that I’ve done this last...
