What's Next?As I attempted to edit The Confession, another series began haunting my thoughts and dreams. I will now begin creating this series for my readers. Look to this blog and my social media outlets for announcements on my next book in the coming months.
My Goals for 2018
As I mentioned in the December 29th post, I have a set of items I hope to accomplish in 2018. I have completed two of them already. Great start, right? Now I need to power on to complete the rest. How are you doing on your own goals for 2018? Remember it is okay to change the list-add to it, delete from it-it is your list and your life.
Remember to Review Books!
The best gift you can give is a review. It helps other readers and the author. Times have changed. Stars are not enough. Type a sentence or two about why you liked it. It only takes a minute. Encourage your friends and family to do the same.

Do You Review? I do!
Today's topic is near and dear to my heart.
When you read, do you take a minute or five minutes to write a review on Amazon or Goodreads? It's quick. It's easy. It helps readers. It helps authors.
When I read a book, I try to leave a review onGoodreads and Amazon.Here are some recent reads and reviews I posted. Notice they aren't a mile long. Every little bit helps, but you must do more than just select the stars-write a few words.
I am an 'Indie Author'. This means I am an independent author. I write my stories, I edit or seek my own editor, I publicize my own books-I do it all myself. I don't have a large publishing house doing it for me. (Yet-but it is the goal.)
Royalties on self-published books are very small. Every review can help with a future sale. Every mention to a friend or family member can mean another book is sold. Spread the love and spread the word.
Many digital books have a hyperlink in the back that takes you directly to the review sites. Do you see these, or do you close the book too soon?
Set a reminder on your smartphone for before bed each night or on your days off to write a book review. This will help you remember when you finish a book to review it. Make it a habit.
