Lenna Wickes has apprecticed herself to Vaudeline D'Allaire the world famous medium. Jemisin once again sends a love letter to New York and the immigrant New Yorkers who shaped her.
If you haven't read City We Became I would start with that - be prepared to be uncomfortable. Jemisin will prick your conscience whilst entertaining the hell out of you.
