Upcoming Series: The Hunters Trilogy

If you've been keeping up, you’ll already know a little bit about my next series, The Hunters Trilogy and the first book in it, The Weapon. But for the sake of the new readers I'm going to give you a brief recap on the story. This fantasy series was actually going to be my first published series, but then the Brothers Creed kind of blew up, in a good way, and I decided to finish that first. I had the first book in the series, The Weapon, written in July 2016 before I ever wrote Outbreak. Through the wri...story.This

World-Building FTW!

Something that's new for me with this upcoming fantasy series is world-building. I've been working on creating my fantasy world of Torrea for well over a decade, but now with getting ready to write, I realized there’s more world-building to do. As you can imagine with a zombie series set on Earth there wasn't a whole lot to do besides, how the outbreak happened. But when you're creating a fantasy world with all kinds of magic, governments, races, landscape, lore, and awesome creatures, there...

Headed to Alaska (2019)

It's that time of the year again!Today I'm heading to Alaska to do my fall guiding season and this one's a doozy. All of August I will be sheep hunting, September moose, October brown bear, and then back down to Montana for elk and mule deer. I won't get done guiding until the 1st of December and then all of December and into the middle of January I’ll busy seen family. That means I won't have much time to sit down at my computer and write. But I’ll be using that time to plan, outline, and wo...

The End of the Creed

I’m not dead! I know it’s been a while since I wrote a blog, but life has been crazy. So here we go again.I recently released the box set for the Brother's Creed series. It was a bittersweet moment to bring to an end the series that kick started my writing career. As I look at ending to this series and at the next I'm both excited and sad. I’ll be able to create new worlds, new stories, and new characters, but it feels like I'm leaving a piece of myself behind in these books. I don't plan to...

Last Hope

This is it! The final book in the Brother’s Creed series. I can't believe that after almost two years I'm about to finish this journey with the Wolf Pack. As most of you know, this series started off as a single book, Outbreak, and I wasn't planning on doing more, but through the success and encouragement of my readers I decided to make it into a full series. When I started the process I didn't get a clear idea for what was going to happen in the series but I did get an image of how I wanted...
