Message to readers from Kay MacLeod.
Hi guys,
The event is getting really close now! So, I just wanted to quickly remind you that we have a bunch of resources to help you to promote Indie Advent Calendar this year.
If you still want to donate a prize but haven't sent it yet, please get in touch by the end of tomorrow because I will be finalising the prize details over Tuesday/Wednesday. Everyone has been so generous, make sure you take a look at the prize page if you haven't already, there's some amazing things on offer and I know the readers are going to love it!
http://kaymacleodbooks.com/indie-adve...
The physical prizes will be split into three prize bundles and given away using Rafflecopter.
The eBooks will be given away within the Facebook event page -
https://www.facebook.com/events/14030...
Every day I'll post a Christmas-themed question and one person that responds will win the eBooks up for grabs that day. Each question will be open for a week to give people a chance to enter.
Please invite as many people as you can to the Facebook event, it's a fantastic way to interact with people.
On the topic of the Facebook page, it would be great if you guys added some extras on there for the event-goers on your day. Some ideas I had were an extra excerpt from your book, a game, a question to respond to, a trailer, a flash sale, a giveaway run by you, an 'ask me anything', photos, a video message, a meme or gif contest, a quiz, or anything else you can think of! I understand that December is a busy month, so if you aren't available on your assigned day, or just want to do more, please feel free to run some fun extras on other days too.
I think that's it. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, just get in touch!
A huge thank you to everyone involved, I hope this event will be beneficial, enjoyable, and memorable for each one of you :) And I'm looking forward to an awesome start next week. Let's all get behind each other and make this the best it can possibly be.
Take care,
Kay

I’ve tried to split genres apart as much as possible so there’s more likely to be something that interests everyone each day.
The main page for the event is here, hope you like it! http://kaymacleodbooks.com/iac2017/ posts will go up each morning from 1st- 25th December.
There is also going to be a Facebook event running alongside the whole event, they only allow two week events though so it’s split into two parts https://www.facebook.com/events/14030... and https://www.facebook.com/events/12690...
It would be really great if you could invite people to the event, and even better if you take part too. I want this to be a place the readers can interact with the authors, and they are more likely to take an interest in your book if they take an interest in you first!
I’ll be doing Christmas-themed questions every day, but feel free to ask other questions, run your own giveaways or flash sales, do games or quizzes, or anything you can think of to make it a great experience for our readers. If you can do at least one thing on your own day, it will keep people coming back for the whole event to take part. But if you want to do more days, please do.
If you want to post an additional excerpt, trailer, teaser, or similar about your book, you can do this too, but please let’s not make this a place for spamming links, one or two on your day and maybe a couple across the event are enough. If there are too many instead of genuine interaction posts, I’ll have to start deleting them and I don’t want to do that!
Any help promoting the event would be fantastic, and very much appreciated. I’m claiming the hashtag #IACBooks if you want to use it.
Our event has already gone out to Mailchimp lists, and is being featured in the magazine Indie Authors Monthly (which you can read for free on Magtzer if you don’t already).
Thank you to everyone that has donated books and swag for the prize bags! If you still wish to donate, please ask for my address and send your prizes before the end of November so I can take photos ready for the launch!
If you want to donate eBooks, please email me a copy of the books you’d like to give away in the formats you have, and let me know how many you’re happy to give. I won’t give more than you’ve stated, and I’ll delete the files from my PC at the end of the event. Thank you so much!
I’ll keep you all updated as things happen, here’s to a great time and a fantastic opportunity for all of us. Please get in touch if you have any questions or ideas to make this even better.
Take care,
Kay

Thank you readers for your participation
Hi everyone there!
Thanks to all who participated in my first giveaway for my first self-published book "Kathputli." Total 705 readers shown interest and 248 readers added the book to their TBR shelf.
Seeing your love for Indie authors, I initiated my next giveaway last month for my second book "Life In Shackles" which includes 14 great social stories on plight of women, particularly in Indian context. So far, 501 readers entered the giveaway for signed copy and 187 readers added to their TBR shelf.
The winner of last giveaway was Ayse Arslan from USA. I would like to congratulate Ayese.
I recently launched my third self-published book "Mindset And Passion - The Psychology Of Success" which is a self help book and very useful for everyone, doesn't matter who you are - a guardian, parent, student, farmer, self employed, businessman or in a job. People who read hundreds of motivational books, watched thousands of inspirational movies or videos or listened many motivational speakers but still feel defeated, must try this book. As always, the language is very simple and most commonly spoken words are used to elaborate the process of personal development. By reading this book, you will be familiar with anew 3D approach "PPM".
The breaking news is that this book was on 9th rank till one week after release and overall on 200 - 275 rank on Amazon India. Released on 26th October, it is still in top 80 in category and in top 3K on the basis of overall Amazon rank. It is on 9th position in Amazon's "PenToPublish" contest. So, what are you waiting for? Grab this gem on your KU or buy @0.99c for limited period only.
I welcome your reviews, feedback or suggestions to improve my writing. You may reach me by any means as links are there in my books and on my Goodreads and Amazon author pages.
