“You should go back out there and ask him to give you a tour of his bedroom.”
“No way. I always freeze up around him.”
Her head bobs in agreement. “Good point. We better get you a couple shots first.”
Laughing lightly, I shake my head. “There is not enough alcohol in the world.”
“Why not? You’re gorgeous—inside and out. He would be so lucky to make out with you.”
“Make out with Felix Walters?” A frantic giggle escapes. “Felix is in a completely different league. He makes genuinely hot girls look meh by comparison. Those arms and that hair.” I sigh.
She laughs again and it eggs me on.
“He just looks at me and I start sweating and my mind goes blank. He’s stupid hot. As in he makes me totally stupid. I lose brain cells every time he speaks to me. I would probably die of sensory overload if he kissed me. Or if I saw him shirtless. Forget about it.” I groan. “I’d like to lick every inch of his body and climb him like a freaking tree. Of course, I’d have to duct tape his mouth because when he says my name, ‘Dahlia,’” I mimic his deep voice, and then fan my face, “I’m two seconds away from orgasming.”
Jane bursts into hysterical laughter and I join her because it’s a funny thought. Me and Felix Walters? No freaking way.

“It’s a pretty standard prenup.”
“And what about Melody’s condition of one year instead of six months?”
“One year is fine. My agent actually suggested the same thing. That puts us in the off-season and the marriage will have lasted long enough that there won’t be any speculation on why it ended so quickly.”
“Oh.” I bite the inside of my cheek as I nod.
He steps forward until I can feel the warmth radiating off him. “You keep asking me, but are you sure that you want to do this?”
I stare up at him, leaning into him the tiniest bit, just to feel how strong and steady he is. I need a little of that to make it through the next twenty-four hours. “Yeah. One year isn’t that long, right?”
He chuckles. “What time do you want me to pick you up tomorrow?”
“I’ll get a ride with Scarlett. You aren’t supposed to see me until I walk down the aisle.”
“Right. Okay, then. I guess I’ll see you tomorrow at the wedding.”
“I’ll be the one in white, trying not to trip up the aisle.”

Sneaking Around with the Player Excerpt
I drop my mouth to hers and we both linger in that position, neither of us pulling away or pushing for more. Frantic energy courses through me like a before-game rush. A month of talking to this girl every day. She probably knows me better than anyone else and this is only the second time we’ve ever been face to face.
Soft laughter slips from her lips, the movement and the sound vibrating against me.
A girl laughing while you kiss her isn’t usually a good sign.
“Something funny?” I ask, resting my forehead against hers.
“No. Sometimes I laugh when I get nervous.” She giggles again. “I can’t believe you’re here and we just kissed.”
“Should I not have come?” I pull back to stare into her brown eyes.
“No. I’m glad that you did. All night I’ve been wishing you were here and now here you are.” She waves a hand in front of me.
“You kinda like me, huh?” My lips curve into a smile and my pulse races.
Stella lifts up on her toes and slides her fingers through the hair at the back of my neck. “Just a little bit.”
“Mmm.” I brush my lips against hers again. “Let’s see if we can change that into something more… enthusiastic.”
