#snippetSaturday again already?!

I've been hard at work creating something really cool for my birthday (I promise I'll tell you about it *very* soon) but I can't forget #snippetSaturday! I love writing Snow and Hunter. Their back and forth just amuses me so much :D****************"Who are you?" she asked Hunter, watching his face for any of the tell-tale signs of dishonesty. He tilted his head to the side, his brow arched in a question. "I believe I've already introduced myself, Princess. Name's Hunter."She fought the urge to roll her eyes. Princesses did not roll their eyes. "Yes, but that's only your name. Who are you? What do you do? Why were you on Zomer watching my fire and invading my privacy?"A slow smile spread Hunter's lips and Snow wanted to scowl at it until it disappeared. Instead, she kept her face as neutral as she could, focusing on keeping her breaths steady. "Is there some expectation of privacy in a public forest I'm unaware of?" he asked. This time Snow did roll her eyes. She couldn't even help it. "You know what I meant," she said, her molars gnashing together.Hunter shrugged, still grinning. "I'm just a merchant. Was leaving Zomer after a shipment and saw the blaze. Have to admit, I'm a sucker for a pretty fire," he said, his eyes glittering even with the distance between them. There was nothing in his body language to suggest he was lying, but that wasn't enough evidence for her. She'd spent her whole life learning to master her emotions, what was to say he hadn't done the same? That was precisely the kind of thing a spy would do."Awfully small ship for a merchant," she said, looking around the tiny space for effect.Hunter didn't even pause a moment before shrugging again, that smile never faltering. "Luxury goods don't take up much cargo space.""Your clothes are rather plain for a luxury merchant," she said, barreling right into the next question. She couldn't pause or give him a moment to cultivate a new story. She had to keep pressing to see if she could find a crack in his armor. Her eyes roved over his form, clad in all black, a form-fitting style that showed off his physique without flaunting it. It was the kind of outfit that afforded free and easy movement, lightweight and silent. Most merchants were far more... ostentatious. They displayed their wealth as a testament to the quality of their goods and service, for anyone that had accumulated so much couldn't possibly be selling sub-par products or charging exorbitant prices or he'd go out of business in the blink of an eye."My clients appreciate a measure of discretion," Hunter said, his eyes twinkling with unreleased laughter. Snow remembered him traipsing through the woods, making an awful racket, accusing him of not knowing the meaning of the word. She felt her face warm with the memory, the hot flush of outrage pushing through her walls. He was mocking her — again!

#snippetSaturday Snow White edition!

Hello everyone! If you're in myPage Turners Club on Facebook, then you've already seen a couple of snippets from this book, but if not, here's your first peek at Snow White and the Seven Dwarf Planets! :DSnow is my very own girl on fire. She's had everything taken from her by the Queen and she's ready to take back what' rightfully hers. Follow me here, on social media, or in my mailing list to get all the updates as this book comes to life! You can also find a different sneak peek of this book at the end ofPlanet Neverland."You should have just let me go."Hunter shrugged, that infuriating smile going all the way to his eyes — a golden brown she could see now that it wasn't so dark — twinkling with amusement she didn't understand. "What can I say? I can't resist a damsel in distress."She pursed her lips, trying with all her might to glare at him hard enough that he caught on fire like the Summer Palace had. He remained regretfully unsinged. "I am not a damsel, and I wasn't in distress," she said, crossing her arms."Oh, you weren't? Most people being chased by the Queen's guard are in a bit of trouble. But I'm sure you could've handled them. There were what... Five? Ten of them tops. That little blaster of yours definitely could've made quick work of them." His eyes still sparkled and that only enraged her further. He'd interfered with her plans and now she was stuck on this ship with him until they could find somewhere safe to port — or until he dropped her off unceremoniously on a remote outpost she couldn't escape from."Are you mocking me?" she asked, her voice picking up in pitch with the flash of indignant rage that rushed through her. Didn't he know who she was? Didn't he know he couldn't talk to a princess like that? She balled her hands into fists and unclenched them. Of course he didn't know who she was. No one even knew if she was alive or dead.

Procrastination can be cool sometimes.

As it is every time I wrap up a book, I find it difficult to move on to the next project, no matter how excited about it I am. After spending months being consumed by one story and one world, it can be difficult to finally take some space and change gears.Let's just say I'm not quite ready to leave Planet Neverland yet. So today I made this vintage-style tourism poster just for fun. Sure, it's not the most productive thing I could do with my day, but it's still pretty cool and it makes me happy.Hope you like it!You have my permission to save and share to your heart's content. Who doesn't want a vacation to Neverland?

I don't wanna work. You can't make me!

Hi guys! It's me, talking about random stuff this time.If you haven't been following me elsewhere, I recently wrapped up Planet Neverland and it is currently in the hands of ARC readers... I'm not panicking, who's panicking? But really, I had a lot of fun writing this one, even if it did grow to enormous proportions I wasn't anticipating. (Seriously, this is what you get when your hero is a hog for the limelight. He never wants his story to end.)At the end of a big project like this, before I dive into the next, I like to have a little fun and relax. Today, I made this silly littlepersonality quizfor Planet Neverland.Take it, and tell me who you are in the comments!I've also been painting a lot lately. I've got paintings done for Beauty and the Space Beast, Planet Neverland, The Little Cyborg, and Alien Frog Prince! Phew. I want to paint something for each book and share it with you guys, maybe make them into wallpapers if you're into that? Let me know what you think! Here's the one for Frog Prince :D The jungles of Granota are full of lush vegetation that grows wild and free. One never knows what might be lurking in the foliage ;)

#snippetSaturday

Yes! I remembered #snippetSaturday today :DAnother scene from Planet Neverland, coming out very, very soon! And if you're interested in getting more little sneak peeks like this, join us in thePage Turners Club!********"What's going on?" Wendy asked, still grimacing as she rolled her shoulder."Didn't you hear the warning?""The jingle bells?" Michael asked.Wendy looked past their little group to the cafe-style seating, a glass display case full of sweets and sandwiches, and a very old — very green — man behind the register, drumming his fingers on the counter. His wrinkled forehead drooped, pushing his brow down to shadow his eyes, but even with that, Wendy was pretty sure he was scowling at them."Those 'jingle bells' are Neverland's warning system," Peter said. Then, to the green man, "Didn't you hear the bells? Put your screen down, man.""Peter, what is going on?" Wendy asked."You guys buyin' somethin'?" the old man asked.Peter groaned and rolled his eyes. "If I buy a sandwich will you put your screen down?"Old green guy licked his lips, smacking them as he did. "Hard to feed four people with one sandwich," he said.Peter shook his head, muttering under his breath. "Unbelievable." He approached the counter, pulling out his wallet and slapping a bill down. "Four sandwiches then."
